I took my Acura RSX in here to get a transmission fluid flush and change (I checked it two days before and the level was low). The service desk man called me an hour or two later and told me I was all set, the car was ready to be picked up. The next day I looked under the hood when I got to work to make sure everything looked OK and there was transmission fluid all over the engine compartment and the dipstick (also serves as the cap to the transmission) was missing. When I called them the service man who had helped me the night before said that he knew that the dipstick was missing, but he just figured I knew about it. Seriously? No mention of this to me at all, or noting of it on my paperwork.
For the service department to let someone drive away with no cap on the transmission that they just serviced, to me, is nothing short of sabotage. The service man said that he should have mentioned something, and if I bring it back in they will «clean it up, and put a dipstick in it». I said that I’m not even sure if I should drive it because I don’t know how much fluid is left. When I tried to explain to the service man that he needs to understand the severity of sending people away with no cap on the transmission, he was dismissive, and said he really didn’t understand how it worked. Yet, apparently he was the one that made the decision that it wasn’t a piece of information that I needed to be made aware of before sending me off to ruin a perfectly good transmission.
I no longer trust this dealership to service my vehicles.

Picked up the MDX and its solid. Got the extended 8 year 100,000 mile bumper to bumper and electrical warranty. The sales person and the finance manager did a great job with customer service. I was really impressed with the experience.

Great experience today! It really helped that the online price of my MDX was at blue book value and I was already pre-​approved before I got there. The finance guy, Omar, was straightforward and to the point! These people want to sell cars without the BS.

Want to buy a used car from straight talking sales personnel, this is the place for you. I dealt with Ahmad. Professional all the way. Saved enough to have the vehicle shipped back to my home 900 miles and still saved about $ 1,000.00.

I recently purchased a Dodge Citadel from this dealership. Tim was our salesman. He was very nice and down to earth; not pushy whatsoever — which is a big deal to me cause I can’t stand pushy! Chris the finance manager was also great. Very cool and willing to help us get into a good car, at a good price. Looking forward to coming back in a few years to upgrade. Haven’t used the service department (hopefully won’t have to for a while), but hopefully they’re just as nice as the front office staff.

I purchased my 2015 acura rdx from Joe Rizza. My buying experience was painless. We negotiated, as you do at a dealership, and after several visits we came to an agreeable price. In addition the staff was very friendly and helpful.
I gave it 4 stars because of their service department. I scheduled an appointment for an oil change. My APPOINTMENT was for 10:30 but it took TWO HOURS for an oil change! What is the purpose of an APPOINTMENT?! It would also be nice if they offered a late day during the week. You should also know that Saturday appointments book two weeks in advance.
I would still recommend them for purchasing your vehicle but if you have an alternative option for service work, go that route.

My salesman and the GM were amazing. Very trustworthy, knowledgeable and respectful. I was presented with a very fair deal for both my new car and my trade from the start — no uncomfortable negotiations. I was welcomed with open arms as soon as I stepped in the front door. The walk through of the car’s features and set-​up after I bought it was unparalleled. Follow up is great! My salesman has called twice and emailed just to make sure I didn’t have any additional questions. I couldn’t be happier with the purchase or the experience. Well done Joe Rizza Acura. I have been coming here for over 10 years now to get my routine maintenence done. not brakes or tires or stuff like that, cuz I can do that on my own and use costco for tires. needless to say, they always have good service here. Joe Rizza is not the closest acura dealership to my house, but they certainly have better service/​prices than the other acura dealerships which I have inquired about which are closer. When I have an appointment, they pretty much get me in and out. and even if it takes a long time, it’s no big deal because they have wifi, and I can still work while I wait which is convenient. A free car wash every time my car is serviced is a plus. and, they aren’t always trying to sell me on a bunch of stuff I dont need. and I always seem to get a coupon for a discount on my service when I’m as well!
I have also bought my last two cars from here, but to tell the truth, my current car, I’ve had for 6 years now, so I really don’t remember my buying experience that well. But I dont think it was particularly bad or good.

Although Acura’s have always been our vehicle, I am disappointed by the sales staff. We have owned several Acura’s, so I am an easy sale. However, they are completely dishonest. They give car sales a bad name. We will buy Acura again. We will just go elsewhere.

I could not be more displeased with this dealership. We live over an hour away, but they had a CPO MDX that was the color combo I wanted and I felt it was aggressively priced. Spoke numerous times to the sales guy, gave a deposit, then took the trip out west to buy it. When we showed up, there was a HUGE nick in the door (straight through to the metal) and the back fender was a bit smashed in (not worth the $ 500 discount I drove out there for). Don’t you think they could have said something? NOPE. So, we still expressed interest IF they were to fix the door. We waited a full week, no word, no pictures, as promised, then an e-​mail stating they sold it. Ironically, I had just purchased a new one from another dealership since I hadn’t heard from them, so I told them this. The internet manager’s response was SO RUDE. I would never do business with them… and would encourage others to shop around. We ended up buying a new MDX today at Arlington Acura in Palatine. Start to finish… THEY WERE AMAZING.

While my buying and service experience were great, I have to mark them down due to new evidence. Although a salesman told me that when they sell a used Acura a mechanic goes over it to make sure everything is taken care of, I have recently found several things that TSBs had been issued for that were not repaired. Some of them were even covered at the time of purchase, but no longer. One of them is over $ 1,000 to repair, and until it is repaired, none of the airbags will work. Great job, Rizza, way to care about the customer.
I realize this is a common practice with used vehicles, and I figured they were lying about it. A salesman called to find out what my problem was and had the service manager call me. The service manager «generously» offered to fix the problem if I was willing to pay them full price to do it.
I’ve had other Acura dealers treat me much better, some even ordered me touch-​up paint for free when I asked them about it. I won’t be dealing with Rizza again.

Customer service is the easiest way to get repeat business. This dealer does just that. When I purchased my car here I had a great experience. Well I had a mishap with my sunroof, as I was opening to it to vent I heard a loud pop and glass just fell everywhere. I was not sure what happened but I was on my way home and detoured to the dealer. Once I arrived the customer service took over. The service manager reviewed the problem and took a picture to send to Acura, checking to see if possible there was a defect. Turns out he noticed a point of impact where a rock projected into it as I was opening. He explained what he found and showed me everything. Great timing on my part. No problem from here they kept my car ordered new glass and set me up with a car. Picked the car up as promised and it is all good, new sunroof, washed and vacuumed (lot of glass). The rock may have started some trouble but the service here fixed me up. Great service and follow up.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE GUYS!
Bought a TSX from them, love my car and the service they provide. Even though I have been using a local mechanic for years who is great, I decided that I would only let the dealership take care of my car when I bought my new TSX. Since then, I have never been disappointed with their service.
They confirm appointments, followup after to make sure I am satisfied. Wash and vacuum the car and best of all, know me by name. I have confidence in the work they do and have never felt pressured or mislead by them.
