Cindy mc Never again, prior to your order they roll out the red carpet. Said 2⁄4 weeks, took six and half was garbage But you had to pay the balance they’re going fix everything what they don’t tell you another six weeks. My mom and I purchased blinds and shades from Eddie Z’s. I actually referred her because I had such a great experience. I really love everything I ordered! They look gorgeous and fit like a glove. I also liked working with my decorator. She was nice, not pushy, and knowledgeable. My Mom’s experience was equally positive — She went through their store in Wisconsin. Needless to say, I recommend Eddie Z’s. Plus they’re a local/family company, which is awesome in my book! They really did a nice job from start to finish for both of us.

I will never buy from Eddie Z’s again. Bought first set of drapery about 12 years ago. The valance was not sewn properly and they never fixed. I had live terrible valances for 12 years. When it was time to order some semi-sheers i picked out embroidered fabric and the were installed and were all uneven. They came out and thought they could fix. They refund the semi-sheers and the same thing happened. They decided I needed to buy from a different fabric company. I purchased another set, which are fine. Well later I found out that they had seams too, when they are supposed to be custom made. In my mind custom made drapery are supposed to be seamless, otherwise they wouldn’t be custom. I phoned the manager and she said, if you read the back of the fabric sample that you chose in the book it informs the width of the fabric. I said do you think a normal person understands that information? I am not a seamstress. Besides, they don’t have the size of your windows visible on your contact. I believe they don’t want you to know. I informed the manager that the information on the back of the fabric was for her information to advise her customers. All she should have said was that with your dimensions you will have seams if you opt for this fabric? Most people would not have chosen a fabric if they are going to have seams when paying big bucks for custom made. Isn’t that the whole reason why you buy custom? I could have purchased already made and taken them to a seamstress to sew the together and saved a whole lot of money!!! The manager’s answer to what I told her was«oh well». I informed her that I would be giving them a bad review on Unilocal.Her response was ok.

I brought in 3 Shangri-La window treatments I had for 12 years because the sheer fabric vanes were coming apart at the edges. Liz Lietz, company representative, greeted me courteously with the knowledge and experience of a seasoned professional. I asked about their warranty and if Eddie Z’s/Manufacturer would honor it in reference to my situation. After she looked into the matter she called me with a most satisfactory result. They are replacing the fabric at no charge(just shipping cost). I couldn’t be more delighted. I must say that my experience at Eddie Z’s was outstanding. I am to receive the window treatments back in 3 – 4 weeks. She even offered temporary paper blinds to use on the windows in the meantime. I have read the negative reviews for this location and felt compelled to give credit where and when credit is due. I would not hesitate to recommend Eddie Z’s on LaGrange Road in Orland Park to anyone. Thank you for the high quality service I couldn’t be more satisfied. Barbara H.

I’ve only been to this location one time & it wasn’t the best. I walked in to pick up one order & I stood right at the front desk watching & listening to a middle-aged woman have a conversion on the store phone about her kids, her kids & school, etc… It was ridiculous! I say middle-aged woman because I only expect this behavior from a 16 year old girl & it being her first day on the job. A employee came out from the back & took care of me. I picked up my order, paid for it & when leaving, this employee was still on the phone with her personal call! I’m not saying I will not go in there again but hopefully this is a one time thing.
