Hello Tiara

I purchased a groupon for hair extensions and made an appointment to get my hair extensions put in. The woman who runs it sue is very accommodating and professional. She offers good deals and the hair she uses is real human hair and amazing quality. I love the way my hair looks and the way it makes me feel. And it is not damaging at all like that one woman who wrote a negative review claimed, I think she probably just doesn’t know how to take care of her hair or is making up lies because how do you get mold on your hair? I have never had any problems with my hair and have had an amazing experience here. She uses high quality real human hair and has great customer service. I am pleased with my new long hair and would recommend others looking for beautiful long hair to go here.

6 months later and MY OWN HAIR IS DAMAGED AND FALLING OUT. She damaged, created MOLD, and completely damaged my roots. 6 months or so later and there is still IRREVERSIBLE DAMAGE TO MY ROOTS. MY OWN HAIR IS STILL FALLING OUT!!! I spent a fortune with Sue to do a full set for my hair extensions. She promised the best quality human hair. She promised that she was very experienced and well informed by taking several hair extension classes. As far as I know, she was not a licensed cosmetologist. Per other licensed stylists: she installed the extensions incorrectly, too close to each other and incorrectly placed, too tightly, extensions themselves were horrible hair quality, the links were junk material, and as a result my hair is still damaged and falling out.
My hair and the extensions started falling out extremely fast right from the get go. I had several text messages with her and even went back, paid her more and wasted several hours for her to «fix» it. Long story short, I had to go to a different stylist just to remove all the extensions and pay another chuck of money. MOST IMPORTANTLY, THERE WAS MOLD IN THE LINKS OF THE EXTENSIONS!!! MY NATURAL STRAIGHT HAIR WAS NATTED, TANGLED, & DAMAGED. SUE REFUSED TO GIVE ME A REFUND AND ANY TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. This was the most damaging, unprofessional, and IRREVERSIBLE experience.

I have been a client of hello tiara for almost a year, and it has seriously been life changing, in a positive way. My hair was super short, not even to my chin, and my self esteem was so low, but after a couple of hrs in Gertrudes chair, I sashay ed out with looonnng, silky blonde hair, so natural looking, you couldn’t tell they were extensions!!! The owner, aside from being super sweet and a very savvy business woman, has the ability to give a girl with 2 inches worth of hair, a full head of rapunzel locks, and it looks REAL! Hello Tiara has given me back my confidence and for that I cannot give enough thanks. everytime i have an appointment i am treated with courtesy, respect, a big smile, and walk out with fabulous hair. Soo is great! Due to a medical condition I lost most of my hair and was blessed when it grew back, but with the regrowth was a style I was not used to as it was shorter and thinner. i wanted my hair to be as close as possible to the beautiful, long hair I had always had. After wavering back and forth with the decision to get extensions or continuing using my medical grade prosthesis I decided to research sources And I found Soo. From the moment I spoke with her she was confident she could help me, making me feel comfortable I made the right choice. She really goes out of her way to try to accommodate what you want in terms of color, length, thickness, etc. I’ve been going to her for over a year and she always works with my schedule and is flexible, plus her prices are reasonable, she’s easy to talk to, and she has an adorable dog. Whether you want extensions for fun or have a medical condition see her you won’t be disappointed, she’s helped me feel the closest as possible to my old self and nothing feels better then not having wear a wig regardless of the quality of it, my scalp can finally breath again!
Also her shop has lots of cute hair pieces and gorgeous jewelry for sale. She’s located in the nice Orinda shopping center with cute shops and yummy restaurants!
FYI, I’ve had both her track and single locks extensions, and both are great!

Best HAIR EXTENSIONS EVER! Sue is the BEST! She worked magic on my over-​processed fried/​dried hair and matched my hair color perfectly; now I love my hair! Glad I didn’t «wait to grow it out». Great prices too!

I’m always at a loss for what to do with my hair (it’s either down or up in a ponytail… not creative at all) and it was total happenstance that I stumbled into Hello Tiara one afternoon. The store’s owner, Soo, is absolutely the most helpful person I’ve ever met and pointed out the different hair accessories that she carried in her store. I wound up purchasing a decorative hair comb that she walked myself and my friend the various ways to wear it. She even went so far as to diagram them on a piece of paper so I could practice at home! A month later, I had a Christmas party to attend and I called Soo and she told me to swing by the store and she would help me out. In less than 5 minutes, she put my hair up in a half-​up/​half-​down do which looked so great! She encouraged me to come back for a one-​on-​one session so she could walk me through the technique when I had more time.
With an out of town function coming up, I knew that if I were to wear my pretty hair comb for a formal party, I would need to learn how to do it myself. I phoned Soo up this morning and scheduled a time to go in for a lesson. Soo was so patient with me. I wanted to learn how to do the half-​up/​half-​down (which is seems so simple but I found to be so challenging) and Soo had me do it over and over until I «got it». She wouldn’t let me just get by, she wanted to make sure I was confident with the technique. What a total sweetheart!
The pieces are so beautiful, from clips, hair pins, combs, hair-​ties, headbands. She has a wide variety of hair accessories for everyday wear as well as for special occasions. If you are looking for wedding hair accessories, I would definitely check out Hello Tiara. Not only will you wind up with something beautiful, you can either learn to do it yourself or Soo will do it for you.
I am so glad that I found this gem of a shop. I have bought a hair-​tie for my 11-​year old niece and she loves it so much. I will be coming back to buy more for other friends and family as these are beautiful pieces that you can’t find just anywhere. Soo, you have a loyal customer for life!

I can’t say enough good things about this place, and about the co-​owners.
Soo has spent years perfecting her technique as an extensionist (is that a word? ah, well: I just made it one) in the United States and internationally – and her experience shows.
I actually just stumbled on Soo and her store through a google search and gave her a call. She was super friendly on the phone and more than happy to answer the questions that I had and try to ease my concerns about getting extensions (I’m SO finicky about my hair). Then, she invited me in for a free consultation. At the consultation, I decided to do weft-​lock extentsions (she also does single lock) and she matched my colour/​picked out a good length for my hair (she even picked out some fun highlight colours). Best yet: she had the hair in stock already, so it was a matter of scheduling another appointment during off-​hours when she wouldn’t be interrupted too many times for the install.
I came away from the install feeling like a princess. I thought maybe my hair would have to be cut in order to blend properly with the extension hair. Nope. Soo just knows what she’s doing enough that my hair blended beautifully on its own. That’s how you know someone is good at what they do.
About 6 weeks later, I went in for my adjustment. It was super speedy and painless. I came out feeling very tidy and happy, as usual. Unfortunately, about two weeks later, a couple of the links started sliding and a weft started pulling away from my head (the take away here is that you need to be very sparing/​careful about what products you use near your roots when you have extensions). Soo got me in right away to fix it AND she basically did a full mini-​adjustment because she «felt bad that they started to slide so soon,» AND it was gratis. I ended up buying a hair pin anyway because her boutique is chock-​full of cute accessories and I needed something sparkly for an upcoming trip to Hawaii.
Did I mention I drive from San Jose for this? I had gone to some local places but didn’t like the technique. Now I figure «why mess with a good thing,» so I’ll continue to make the drive for Soo. :)

Sue is a brilliant hairstylist. Once you get extensions done with her, you will never want to go anywhere else. I am so happy with the quality of her work – worth every penny.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! The owner is a doll and my extentions are still gorgeous after 4 months. There is also a lot of little hair bling accessories in the store and one could go crazy! I would give Hello Tiara 10 stars!

A couple of weeks ago I wanted to buy a cute gift for my wife. After dining in Orinda, I came across Hello Tiara. Soo introduced herself to me right away and helped me pick out the perfect necklace. My wife loves the necklace! Thank you Soo and thank you Hello Tiara!

If you want gorgeous hair extensions that will not damage the health of your real hair, call Sue. I did a lot of research prior to contacting her: her method of installing the hair is top-​rate and she only uses premium hair. I heard a lot of horror stories about extensions, but I couldn’t be happier with mine! I live pretty far from Orinda so Sue offered to come to my house at no extra charge. I honestly have never felt so pretty. Thank you, Sue!
