Cupbop food is crazy delicious, let’s just get that outta the way. I fell in love with it after trying it once at my work, they catered, it was fantastic. Bbq chicken, slightly sweet tender beef, spicy and sweet pork, amazing japchae noodles with veggies, rice and lettuce, even a spicy kimchee tofu option. Fabulous sauces whether you love getting burned by hot stuff or just want a little kick with some sweet goodness. Layered in a cup, it’s a perfect setup. 10 stars for the recipe. Now, I only want the best for Cupbop, I wanna see it succeed on a massive scale and become bigger than Panda Express. The recipe is that great. 7 sauce literally changed my life. Cupbop has made me a better person, truly. I hate to have to be the one to say this, but the issue with Cupbop is the owners. I’m not criticizing them as people — They are great guys, and they are friends. Many other customers of the bop will attest to this, having had frequent opportunity to interact with them at events and at the trucks, or even on social media. Of course I have zero knowledge of the real inner workings of this business, but it’s apparent that there are major issues. Long time customers like myself have observed drops in the quality of service and I can only speculate that this is probably due to turnover. The original crew that made the front end of things truly awesome seems to have moved on. When you have a project and you love it like your own child, is there anything that can be done to get awesome people on board and empower them to stay and rise with the brand? I don’t really know. I’ve never tried running a business of my own. But I can’t help but hold the owners of this brand accountable for the plateau that they have hit. Something is off, and that has caused a sustained turnover. I hope you guys can fix it. Cupbop deserves to massively succeed.

Warning. This place is in UVU Food court, so if you are not familiar with UVU layout, you can get lost, don’t know where to park etc. Plus if you use this address(800 W 1200 S Orem) in Google Map, it will take you to a random place at the wrong side of the freeway. But if you are familiar, this is a good place to grab quick lunch. I went with Combo Bop level 7 spicy out of max level 11. The counter guy looked at me almost in disbelief, so I thought I’d get a kick out of this one. But it turned out level 7 is not spicy at all for me. Urghh I need 11 in my life! But it was still good though. Not blow-my-mind good, but yay high five good. The whole meal tasted sweet. The Chicken Mandu was alright, I don’t think it’s anything special other than giving more variety in the bowl. The Combo is about 8 bucks, and with Chicken Mandu, it totalled up to about 10 bucks. Not that cheap for a street/food truck meal. Now I need to find this in another more accessible location…
