Bits & Bytes Computer Repair

Writing this review a bit prematurely; I’ll update it again once I actually get our netbook back from these goofballs.
I turned a known dead Asus netbook in more than a week ago. I’m exceptionally qualified myself to do repair beyond even their level but had to turn it in to an actual computer «repair» shop so I could get a written statement claiming it was irreparable.
Our Amex account allows us a 1 year extended warranty coverage after the expiration of the manufacturers warranty if I’ve purchased the item with my Amex. They will pay for the estimate, repair, or replacement of any item I purchase. To get this service from Amex though the item needs to be deemed repair/​no repair with an estimated cost.
Literally all you need to do is power the netbook up with it hooked up to an external monitor to see it doesn’t even post at the BIOS screen. The motherboard is dead in the water. This takes an exact 20 seconds to do. I was told they would get back to me by the following Monday. Today is Tues. and I’ve not received one call.
They charge $ 25 for basic estimates — despite their excessive repair/​wait/​turn around time.

Get your act together and do what you say — else remove it from your claims on your site.
