History

Established in 2006.

We visited Orcas Island in 2005 and saw a need for guided horseback riding in an old growth forest, so went home and started things rolling. We now have been guiding horseback riders for 9 yrs through a beautiful forest with great, gentle horses and informative, helpful guides. We have always loved riding horses in beautiful areas and now we can share that love with others– daily– all year long.

Business Owner

Robert has been riding & training horses for over 50 yrs. His love for riding has brought him to Orcas Island where he is now guiding horseback rides through a beautiful old growth forest and loves every minute of it. He trained the horses he uses on the trails, which you can experience this when you have the privilege of riding them. He manages most of the trails in the forest, making sure they are safe and clear to ride on.

Jo, his wife, has had a love for horses since a child from being on her grandfather’s ranch and riding and feeding the cows with him. She helps Robert with managing the business and taking reservations for the rides and occasionally riding when she can.

It’s a dream come true for her and Robert to have the opportunity to work with horses. Both of them enjoy their clients and love giving them the opportunity to ride in this beautiful forest on Orcas. They also have 3 of their beautiful daughters help as guides on the rides, which share in the love for horses.
