History

Established in 2010.

I opened The Car Docs in June 1 of 2010. Before that day I spent my career working for other people in there independent repair facilities. At each one I noticed the same two problems. The first problem was a communication break down between the service writer (the person who talks to the customer) and the technician (the one who fixes customers car). So much vital information was commonly lost in the exchange causing all kinds of problems. The second problem was «one size fits all» procedures. Common problems or symptoms do not always lead to the same root cause. So I would see technicians follow common flow charts only to end up at the wrong conclusion, wasting time and the customers money. I avoid both problems by eliminating the constricting procedures and treating every vehicle correctly, and by being both service writer and technician.

When returning home from my service in the US Army «Hell On Wheels» Artillery division (Hoorah) in 1994, I needed work so I jumped right into the auto repair industry. Considering that I had past experience building and fixing cars, going into auto repair was a natural fit. In the past 20 years I have grown within the industry accumulating skills, tools and a lot of busted knuckles. I have been trained in countless automotive systems and pride myself in doing the job right.
