Anthony’s Custom Audio and Video

If you are looking for knowledgeable stereo installers, do not go here. I have a brand new 2015 Challenger. I had my own amplifier and they recommended the JL stealth box for my car. I am hearing impaired, so I do not hear the highs as people with normal hearing do. The sub has blown 5 times. Each time, they have gotten the sub warrantied through JL. Every time in the last 5 months that I have gone in to the shop to deal with this, they would make passive aggressive comments about my hearing. Saying it is my fault the sub blew because I turn it up to loud and then laugh. Even though not once did I touch the settings to the amplifier. I escalated this to JL. JL said the amp is too powerful. I reiterated this to Anthony’s and they said this is all JL’s fault because of the specifications stated on JL’s website. JL spoke to the shop and the shop lied about the situation stating I turned up the settings and this is all my fault. Luckily for me, I had already sent pictures of the settings the amp was on to JL, so they saw right through the lie. JL even said the amp would blow even if the amp was on the lowest setting possible. The problem all along was that my 600 watt JL amp was too strong for this one subwoofer. Something I stated to the shop after sub number 2 blew. Even after the 5^th one blew and JL verified my amp was too strong, Anthony’s stereo shop was still in awe that it could be the amp. lol I am sorry, but that just seems a little strange that they could not figure this out. They lied to JL about what happened, they tried to take advantage of a person with a disability and they did not know what they were doing. There are a lot of stereo shops around this area. It would be my advice to stay as far away from this place as you can. This is my 1^st Unilocal review in my life. Almost 50 years old. I guess you can tell I am not happy and feel taken advantage of. Don’t let them take advantage of you like they did me. We all need to look out for each other when it comes to company’s like this. When you read the other reviews about not getting a refund, so true. I asked for a refund on the stealth box after the 5^th failure. Not happening! Anthony the owner (how can I sound politically correct), is not a good person to deal with. This all went south when Anthony came into the situation at the end. Mike was being passive aggressive the whole time but I saw right through him. My son can’t stand this place and how they treat their customers, but I did not listen. Thank God for JL and their great customer service. They are taking care of me in the end. The other complaint was that they are overpriced… very true. I just put in two Sundown Subs and a 2000 watt amp in my car after this happened a week ago and wow. Not knocking JL, great product, but Anthony’s stereo is way overpriced.

My daughters car was stolen and we actually were able to recover it intact. The stereo was missing so off to Anthony’s we went. We added an alarm with actuators for the doors. The did the install in a little over an hour and off we went! Thank you Anthony’s!

I wanted better sound for my car and they delivered! Very helpful!
Mike was knowledgeable and made great recommendations! System sounds amazing, I’ll be back again to finish the upgrade!

I needed to replace the radio in my car on a very short notice but all the places I talked to couldn’t do it the same day so I decided to do it myself. On my way home I drove by Anthony’s and decided to stop and try one last place.
They got the first thumbs up just for having all the parts I needed. None of the other places I talked to had everything in stock. The guy who was there that morning said he could get me in same day, but at that point I was set on doing it myself so I just bought the parts I needed and left.
I began to regret not having Anthony’s do it as soon as I started taking the old stereo out in the 100+ heat, but I’m stubborn so I was determined to finish the job myself.
After I installed the new one and put everything back together, I went to test it, and came to find out that everything is working except there’s no sound coming out… –_​– at that point I was over working in the heat and I needed to leave town so I went back to Anthony’s to ask for advice.
I wish I had gotten the guy’s name who was there when I came back because he was my hero of the day :) I explained the situation to him, and he fixed it on the spot. Now I don’t have to suffer without music while driving to Texas!
Both guys I talked to here were professional, patient, and willing to help me out. I’d definitely come here again and I’m telling everyone I know in the OV area to come here! :)

They guys here really want to pimp your ride! They don’t try to sell you anything and they give you straight answers. They have in store credit and many choices to choose from. They custom make items and will not do anything that makes it ugly. Check them out!

These guys are seriously awesome. I repeatedly busted a door speaker and they took plenty of time to help me figure how to address the problem and even financed it. Everything is warrantied and reasonably priced.
I had to wait a few hours at the shop for them to finish and they were super accomodating and friendly. They even brought me lunch!!! I’ll never go anywhere else.
*Update: something went wrong with the speaker box I purchased from them and they took initiative and fixed the problem by upgrading my speaker. You can’t find people like that. I’m extremely happy and very impressed.

About a month ago i got myself truck bed lights and HID headlights for my 13 silverado, everything worked great for about a month. Now the switch is shorted out for my bed lights and one of the Headlights is iffy, sometimes it’ll turn on sometimes it wont. Originally they told me it would be about 2 weeks to ship. A month later i get a call from them telling me my equipment finally came in. Idk if it is the way they were installed or if the product was bad. Either way the guys have been pretty nice to me.

If you purchase anything from Anthony’s as a gift beware that you cannot return it if 7 days pass. This becomes an issue if you, say, purchase a gift for your Grad or Dad and don’t give it to them for at least a week then they want to return, they can’t. And here’s the really bad business practice. If the recipent does return (within their ridiculous 7 day period) they cannot get the money back or any reimbursement since you paid for it on your card. You are the only one that can return a product. So now the receipent has to call you and say Hey, I didn’t like your gift or tried to return and you now need to come to the store with me so they can credit your card.
Seriously?
And remember, from my previous vent, they are extremely rude, especially Mike.
Just do your self a favor, go somewhere where your going to be treated right. Sure their nice on the front end, why wouldn’t they be, their trying to make money.

I went in to get a price on getting a stereo installed and the guy (I am guessing it was the owner) was on the phone. He was on the phone for over 20 min while I was waiting and it wasn’t a business call so finally I just left.

I have taken both my older cars to this shop. They hook me up with the best option for my budget, it sounds great and they do a great job. A long wait but worth it.

When I got in I found there is a lot about car stereos that I do not know — they were patient in exploring options of what I wanted — when we got that clear we chose a model that would work. It had to be ordered and when I brought it back for installation, they did a clean job, including taking out an old Motorola unit that I had used for the phone. I also worked with Mike and found him to be low key and helpful. Not sure what the other guy is talking about.
These guys have a pretty wide selection and none of the high pressure that you might get in other car stereo places.

Extremely rude staff that doesn’t seem to want to help a paying customer… wish there was a 0 star category because this place is horrible. Not many good car stereo places in the area. This place is also extremely overpriced
