on more than one occasion i scheduled in advance to have some work done on my car. and on more than one occasion did i show up and have them tell me they didn’t have the parts. they didn’t have the common decency to call me and let me know that they didn’t have the parts (or a clue what they were doing) before i took the time to drive over there.
i don’t know how they remain in business since I’ve never seen them install anything during the multiple times i was there. i saw men walking around, playing with their phones, and increasingly impatient customers waiting outside while the manager fed someone else a pack of lies. after well over a month of delay finding parts (with them holding a deposit, mind you) i finally closed my dealing with these incompetent crooks once and for all. this place is guaranteed to waste your time and quite possibly your money. i can only be thankful that i didn’t allow these idiots to work on my car.
do not go here. they will not live up to even your lowest expectations.

Place is a rip off that charge way too much and act like they are giving you a deal. And yes the owner is a shady rip off. Never go here again. So yes he sold me a speaker and box for double the average price.

Z Auto has been the place for me to go for my car sound system needs for a few years now. I have not had one bad thing to say about this place or staff over the years and am happy to throw my money at them. Rafael hooked up my subs from my old car to my new car in record time and was more than happy to adjust everything to my wants and desires. I recommend this place to all my friends since we are a bunch of sub heads.

Since I can’t give negative stars. The owner is so shady! He sold my wife a $ 500 Sony piece of junk radio and put in an amp that doesn’t even have enough channels to run all the speakers!!! The touch screen is horrible! I have to take it somewhere else and guarantee at least another $ 600 for the correct amp. Then it may sound okay. I don’t expect much from these speakers either. He really sold a bunch of junk at premium prices and acted like he had never had any problems before. Likely story. Needless to say, I will not be back… Ever!

This place sucks! I went in about a year ago to simply upgrade my stereo. They installed it for me, but when returned to me, they said there was something wrong with the speakers and that they can fix it for me for a service fee, of course. I don’t understand how the stereo worked fine but then be all messed up right after they returned it to me. I later found out that the stereo was sold to me for $ 20 more than what best buy was selling them for. I am truly disappointed in this place and do not recommend it to anyone.

So here I sit at Zautosound. I had them install the alarm on my Ford F-​150 almost 2 years ago. Even 2 yrs later after I sliced a wire that was hooked up to my shell door and pulled out the light bulb which also was connected to the alarm they are still here willing to fix it and a big bonus they are not trying to sell me a new one or charge me. So glad they are the shop I chose. Down to earth and HONEST. thanks guys

Price was very competitive compared to the to other two shops I got quotes at (they both asked $ 85 more for the harness). Installed this nice Pioneer 4100NEX works great installed within the estimated time I was given and they even made sure I was happy w /​the install before paying. I had unknowingly brought in a broken aux cable (purchasde from Amazon not z auto sound) so they troubleshot the issue and even gave me a replacement aux cable for free!

Awesome customer service! Was desperately in need of a connector for battery cables; pulled up to front and was assisted immediately. They provided and installed the connector for me at no charge! Very satisfied customer!

Was extremely satisfied with the help I received from Feris & his Tech. Brought my Dodge Ram in to see if I could have the alarm reprogrammed, they did it and gave me 2 remotes for free. Also gave me a remote for my stereo. Also bought new JBL speakers that sound awesome.

The USB jack on my first system didn’t work but they hooked me up with an upgraded system for free! They’ll work with you to make sure your ride sounds nice…

Z Autosound is just fine. I went in to check it out despite the other Unilocal reviews and was greeted with a handshake and friendly service. Do your research and Feris and Mike will price match any authorized sellers price.

Went in to get look at some subwoofers. I had to practically pry this little old guy out of his chair and cigarette to show me some speakers. The guy pointed out one subwoofer and walked back outside to sit down and finish his cigarette, and then started messing around on his smartphone. I guess business must be good since customer service doesn’t even exist here. I took my cash elsewhere. Btw, they also substantially overprice there merchandise.

The attendants are not always easy to find but were helpful both times I was there. The second time I came in with my stereo removed but confused about the new wiring. The attendant came out, looked at my stereo components, affirmed with a computer that they would work with my car, then explained how I should fix my problem. No charge, no attempt to goad me into having them do it for me. Awesome help.

I am sure there are good and bad experience in every stores. You need to do your homework before buying anything. If you expect this store to beat the cheap internet price then don’t come here.
Recently my sister wanted to upgrade her stock 2005 cayene porsche system. We decided to go with the Pioneer AVIC 7000NEX. Chuck quoted us a price that is a little on the slightly high side. But the trade off is the installation workmanship and high quality accessories parts. I am sure there are other stores can beat this price. But we decided to have chuck team do the installation.
This Porsche SUV was not easy. One of our requirement is to hook up the new unit to the stock BOSE amplified speaker. Z-​Auto ended up spending over 7 hrs to make sure each wire connect correctly.
My sister is very happy with the unit installation and sound performance. Espcially the BOSE speaker sound better than with the stock unit. I will bring my other truck here next: D

The first stereo they overcharged me on I came to find out, installation had no issues though. Then a few years later the salesman practically makes fun of me for buying such an «old» stereo. It was NEW 3 years ago! Ugh… anyhow that’s not why this is a 2 star review.
The second stereo we bought, gave them another chance, and it was an 80 stereo they charged us $ 150 for with «free installation». I don’t know what installation costs, but I don’t think it’s that much. :/​I had to ask him to write free install on the receipt after we bought it, he resisted at first and then it was barely legible. This was a gift for my mom. So when we brought her in a different guy then starts to try and tell me that it doesn’t mention anything about the harness and trys to lead towards charging me for parts or some BS like that. I very strongly let him know it was FREE INSTALLATION which means no additional charges!
My overall shopping experience there was unpleasant and felt rushed and just disrespected. I recommend you try somewhere else. The sad thing is… when I first shopped with them a few years ago they had a 4 star review I think.

I have been going here for over 7 years and never had a problem when Farris and Brian were at the store, but now they are not there and not only was I told one price and charged another to take a basic box out of my old car that took them 10 min to just cut the wire, I could of done that and saved $ 120. The new installer chipped my front window and then lied about it. When I asked to see the video no one in the whole shop could work there own video machine supposedly !! My car was being sold that day and I had to take a big loss because of the chipped front windshield.
This place has gone way down, and should never be trusted with your car or any stereo installs. They are rude and not knowledgable anymore, and on top of it overcharge you for really doing nothing. Be warned big time if you go here you will get ripped off and damage done to your car! TThis place should be shut down immediatly

Ive had Unilocal for a while, and never needed a bad review until now. For starters, they had NO record of me ever purchasing their products. When i have been a reoccurring customer for this last year now.
Next they sold me a used $ 90.00 amp that broke two days later. No refund
Went back in a total of 5 times this last month & i still don’t have a working speaker system.
VERY difficult company to work with. It was as if they were trying to get every dollar possible out of me.

I took my tacome in for new speakers and they sold me a set of Alpines at a great price. They even threw in the install, which is where the deal went awry…
Not only did their technician try lying to me and telling me that he can’t give me the original speakers back (It’s a brand new car) because they «will be destroyed during removal» they scratched my rear door panel BAD and told me I was being «rude» when I pointed it out to them. I understand accidents happen and I wasn’t going to hold their «feet to the fire» on this one, it is afterall, a truck, but to lie to me than tell me I am rude and have a «bad attitude»??? These guys are terrible, spend the extra money and go to a reputable shop and save yourself the heartache and gain the peace of mind you get when you know someone ethical and with standards just worked

I went to Z Auto Sound to buy a Subwoofer enclosure for my Ram 1500. The guy tells me that I cant just buy a single sub, it would blow my amp. I already kinda wanted to buy another sub, so I agreed to buy the double sub enclosure and another sub. He says he will make me a deal, Sub and box for $ 249, and he will install for free (not like screwing in a sub is hard at all.
I wait 20 minutes for them to screw in both subs into the box. I pull my truck around and he helps me put the sub into my truck and I take it home to install.
The next day I am testing out the new subs and they are not kicking at all. There was air leaking from between the sub and the box as if they were not screwed down all the way. I take the subs out of the box and realize that the box was made for 2 10″ subs and they tried to modify the box for my 12″ subs, and it didn’t fit correctly. I also notice that the box is used. There were several screw holes from other subs and amps that were installed. Not to mention, the wire terminals they used were not secured and were popping out. The wire they used was cheap, and they left trash inside of the sub enclosure.
I ended up having to modify the box myself to make the sub fit in the hole correctly and I had to seal the sub myself. It took me about 2 hours to fix their work.
Disputed the charge on my credit card so they are not getting paid. Do not go here.
