He’s rude

This so called dr is horrible. I was recommended by my pcp for throat issues and breathing problems. All dr Cohen did was prescribe me a nose spray when i told him that i have tried nose sprays and that makes it worse. Then he went on to say my breathing problems were due to my weight when all my life I have been in shape and had breathing issues. Recently gained weight. I wont be coming back here not only is he not professional he is rude and cusses in front of his patients. I walked out his office. He is not knowledgeable at all. Will be seeking another ent.

There are many fantastic doctors out there. Just simply, Cohen is not one of them.
My experience is I was referred to «Dr» Cohen by my primary. I suffer from sinusitis and for the last 3 years the infections have progressively gotten worse. This last bout had me home from work for 2 weeks and suffering while working for 2 more weeks. My visit with the «good doc» was a short 101 lecture on immunology followed by berating my need to «change my expectations» ending with I need to «toughin’ up». Cohen’s bedside manner makes you feel anything but warm and safe. After this I stop reasoning with him and decided before I even left his company that I would be seeking another opinion from a knowledgeable, medical professional. After reading the others’ reviews of their surgical experience, I am grateful that I had only wasted a day with a useless doctor opposed to scarring by his hands for the rest of my life.
For those that signed away their constitutional right to sue, may I suggest go to a really aggressive lawyer or better yet sue collectively with others who were scarred. You MAY be able to use fraudulent inducement or at least fight to remove his license.
As for me, my insurance will have to pay for second opinion.

I’d give him a minus 5 if there was a rating like that. He tore up my face and charged me for it. Never offered to fix it. Although I wouldn’t have trusted him to since he really made a mess of me. I have terrible scaring lining each side of my hairline and running behind each ear and back up to my earlobes. Which by the way he left me with no earlobes. They were stretched downwards and sewn flat down my jawline. In addition he attempted to perform an upper eyelid lift which really didn’t make a difference except for the thick crooked scars that are very visible. I can’t say enough about how horribly disfigured he left me and what’s worse is that I used every last dime I had to get this procedure done. I didn’t have enough money to get it fixed and his office makes you sign a waiver stating that you cannot sue for ANY reason once you have the surgery. I FEEL VERY MAD THAT I TRUSTED HIM AND THAT HE CALLS HIMSELF A PROFESSIONAL. HE IS A PROFESSIONAL FACIAL MASSACRE SPECIALIST.

I prefer to not write negative reviews, but instead, give a business or professional the grace that maybe they were having an off day or two. ;)
However with The skin Center, Dr. Cohen & his office manager Jenna Guarnacci, I am compelled to share my negative experience. Through my process with The Skin Center, I found myself micro-​managing an office that seemed to be promising me things & then not delivering. After my initial appt with Dr. Cohen, I contacted his office manager Jenna Guarnacci, per his request, to talk about the next steps. I began calling the office weekly & bi-​weekly because my calls were not getting returned by Jenna Guarnacci. I waited weeks for an email in which I had to call multiple times to remind her of & never received paperwork that she had told me twice was «on his desk & would be mailed out that week». Months later, I had still not received the letter that I was needing & had been told twice by Jenna that it was on the way. I decided to try again. So I contacted the office & left a message with a lady at the front for Jenna to call me. The following week I called again & was told by the lady at the front desk that Jenna didn’t remember me & that I needed to email her to refresh her memory. I kindly wrote a very descriptive email to her. Another week passed with no communication from her. I called again. I kindly left 3 more messages & 2 more emails. Specifically to the office manager, Jenna. I was then told by a lady at the front desk that Dr. Cohen would be calling me. I was thrilled to finally speak with someone from their office… but that didn’t happen. He never called me. After 7 weeks of leaving messages & emails & waiting to simply hear back from someone in this office, I called to give them 2 options, I either wanted my money back for services that were not provided to me or I would need to share my negative experience so that others might be aware of the conduct of this office. Hence, my review :-/​
I would not recommend Dr. Cohen or this office.
I might also add, that my initial consultation with Dr. Cohen left me feeling uneasy about going forward with him. He made me feel like my concerns regarding rhinoplasty were not valid. He did not look at my nose or bone structure. He sat at a distance and it felt very awkward. Honestly, it worked out for the better that his office did not follow through on call backs and scheduling more appointments.

I just had Sculptra injections and laser treatment completed with Dr. Cohen, literally an hour ago. He was just simply amazing !!! Not only does he do a great job but he has wonderful chairside manners !!! I’m a very difficult patient and I HATE needless but he was extremely empathetic, understanding and gentle !!! Love, love, love him and his staff is very nice too !! Jenna has been very helpful to me!

Dr Cohen and staff are amazing. They took care of my needs, worked with insurance and have been caring for me for over 2 years. They genially care about their patients. I trust him and would recommend him to everyone.

Worst experience ever, I went there cause I have an allergies, I didn’t have medical insurance but I considered my health first so didn’t care to pay cash but… the doctor didn’t treated me like potential patient, he seem not to care, I paid $ 125 dlls for 5 minutes consultation, he didn’t give me a chance to ask question o explain me why I was feeling like that, he just gave me and nasal spray sample and he didn’t give me a prescription, I asked the front if I can get a receive or a diagnostic and she started laughing, i left crying, I couldn’t believe that a doctor care more about how much money can make on you instead of help people with this beautiful profession, I never write a review before I just don’t want people to have the same experience if you go make sure you have a good medical insurance and just ignore the stuff in the front.

My husband had appointment with the doctor. And while I was waiting, I noticed a Lifestyle Lift poster and asked if they had a brochure. The receptionist was very rude and told me they didn’t have any out and just went about her business. Then later when we saw the doctor, my husband asked the doctor how much does the Lifestyle Lift cost and the doctor had the nerve to say, «Most of my patients are not on a budget, so they don’t ever ask me the cost.» A medical doctor responding like that to a patient! I couldn’t believe my ears! Then he reiterated with «most of my patients just want to get it done and don’t care about the price.» That wasn’t our question. We didn’t ask you if most of your patients ask you about the cost. We asked you how much the procedure cost. That was the rudest. most arrogant, inapproriate thing I’ve ever heard a medical professional say. We felt so disrespected. Unprofessional doctor, rude staff. Don’t waste your time. I would not let him come near me with a pencil, let alone a needle!

Doctor Cohen did an excellent job on my tonsillectomy. Recovery was rough as expected, but everything went smoothly. Sadly, he was not able to help me with the throbbing sound that I have in my ear. I felt like he wasn’t really listening to what I was telling him, and he was too quick to misdiagnose me and prescribe me steroids, which didn’t help at all! He kept just telling me to be patient, that it would go away, but I’ve had the ear throb for 6 months now. I told him that it was making me anxious and depressed, and he just didn’t seem to care much. He’s a good doctor but not for tricky problems like the one I have. Remember that if one doctor can’t help you, you can always get a second opinion!

I’ve actually had nothing but great experiences with Dr. Cohen and his office staff. The whole team is always pleasant and timely, but the main reason why I go is that he gets results and takes his time with you to make sure you understand his «opinion» on your situation. Sure, there have a few times where I’ve had to wait a little longer to be seen than the appointment time I booked, but it’s well worth it because you get a solid experience and opinion. He also has a lot of cool/​innovative procedures and technology that other doctores are slow to adapt to. Overall, I’d give him an A+ in terms of overall quality of care.
For me personally, I dealt with a chronic sinus condition for over 5 years and was left helpless/​frustrated because I got nothing but the run around from other doctors/​specialist. After being referred to him by a friend, I saw an immediate improvement in my health/​condition. He course of treatment was very logical and definitely has the patients best interest in mind.

Dr Cohen is an amazing doctor that takes time and talks you through everything! I saw so many doctors for head pain that just throw drugs at the problem when he spent the time to find what was causing it and stopped the pain the right way. Amazing!

I arrived at 9:10 for my 9:15 appointment. By the time I finished my paperwork it was 9:20. No big deal.
Then it was 9:40. Still waiting
Then it was 9:45… another guy got up and said he had a 9:15 appt. They said there was one person in front of him.
He went in at about 9:55. I waited.
Now, through all of this I overheard one of the receptionists calling people saying, «Dr. Cohen’s schedule has changed, so we need to change your appointment.» She literally called 20 people while I was sitting there.
It became clear to me that a patient’s time was not valued. I got up at 10:03 and asked when I would be seen. She said it would be 5 minutes. I told her if I wasn’t in there in 5 minutes I was cancelling.
After about 8 minutes I got up and told the receptionist I was cancelling. She didn’t even look at me when she said, «Ok.»
I walked out and found another Dr.
Find someone else who will respect your time.

I was so dissapointed in the front office staff at this office. I had an initial visit with Dr Cohen. It was determined he could do some surgery in his office for me. When I was leaving the office I was told someone would call me to set up my appointment. After waiting 4 weeks and not a call back, I called them. The receptionist told me my insurance covers the procedure, but they would have to see if they could get me in before the end of the year. They had several people wanting to utilize insurance benefits before the end of the year. I explained that I could wait until next year. She said she would call me back and schedule the proceedure. Another 4 weeks went by without a call back to me. I called the office again, and got their Orange office. The woman I spoke with was so rude to me on the phone. I could not get a word in to explain anything about what I wanted an appointment for. She said she would have someone from the Placentia office call me back. It’s been another 4 weeks and have not heard back from them. Obviously I wont be going to this office. There’s no communication at all!
The Doctor was nice, but I was somewhat concerned when he said he could do my proceedure in his office and not a surgery center, because he does facelifts and brow lifts in his office.
I would not recommend this office at all
