The Bruery Provisions

Location NOT closed. So, here’s the scoop:
1.) food is pretty bland. salmon salad is good, but lacks enough greens; chips and salsa are stale and bland; quesadilla has too much cheese and isn’t melted enough; street dog was okay.
2.) service was nice. Very polite server, courteous and attentive.
3.) place was completely empty at 12:15 for lunch on Memorial Day. Strange considering all the games on.
4.) patio is nice, but has too many tables if it was a packed place.
5.) prices are extremely high. For 2 adults and 1 kids meal, no alcohol, $ 50. Honestly, I’ve never seen kids meals for more than $ 6.00 & this place is $ 7-​$ 8. Also, no kids cups? Dangerous.
Overall, we eat out a lot on weekends with 3 kids under 3 years. We feel like we are decent judges of taste, texture and ambiance. This place, although we really wanted to like it, just didn’t work. I gave it 2 stars because the server was really nice and helpful, even without items like kids cups. She did her best. Being that I managed high end restaurants in my early 20’s, I really wouldn’t give this place more than 1 star back then, but feel 2 is deserving because of service and patio.

I’m still a bit angry that this place closed.
One of my favorite spots in all of Orange County.
I still love the Bruery and will support their business.
But the Provisions store was a great business in so many facets.
The reason that they closed from what I gathered from other businesses in that area is that they weren’t managing their labor correctly. The would have too many people on staff… even during the slow hours. And it was taking a toll on their resources. If they had just hired a management consultant to take care of the shifts, they may have been able to keep their doors open. But they are better at brewing beer it seems… rather than middle management.
But I don’t fault them for taking an adventurous and unique approach to a beer bar in the Orange Circle. It was a success in my eyes and I will always remember that place fondly.
Great relaxed setting. Fantastic food and beer. And a knowledgeable friendly staff. It’s rare that you can get all three of those in one place.

I love their cheese and meat plates even though they are a little on the pricey side.
Flights are always good especially for people who can’t decide which beer/​wine they want to drink.
Customer service is always top notch!

There are four parts to this review, so prepare yo self!
We’ll start with the beer, which is awesome. What I really like though, is that they also stock a shit-​ton of beer that they DON’T make. Being able to try a brewery’s beer is great, but if it’s the only thing there, you’re not gonna go often. Thankfully the Bruery figured this out. When I can get Mikeller, Evil Twin, etc., I’m a happy camper.
Second is the food. It’s good, but they need more of it. I appreciate the cheese, the sandwiches are good, but I just need more. This is where the breweries that just serve their own beer have the edge, granted they’re usually restaurants also. When I get out of work late and I want a beer AND some food, I find myself wanting to go to two places. This is no good.
Then you have the customer service/​knowledge base. I’m pretty sure everyone here loves beer, they drink beer and they know about beer. This is awesome. You can’t feign a love for beer, and they have found folks to work here that know and love beer. This is fantastic.
Lastly is the venue. I really like it, though I wish it were bigger. The patio is great, the beer section is great, the inside area for eating and drinking is small and cramped. It’s not the Bruery’s fault, they just need more space. Still a huge fan.
So go here, drink the beer, eat a few snacks and enjoy some good company. One of my favorite places in Old Town Orange.

Why write another five-​star review for the Provisions?
Because I just hosted a private event there and they did such a phenomenal job.
Lauren was joy to work with in planning the event. Kendra, Lauren, Andrew, Chef Brian, and all the other staff, super friendly and exceptionally helpful.
The flights were awesome, the food pairings were more awesome, and the grilled cheese platters made me want to cry in all their cheesey goodness. Whether it was meat or fruit, everything went with the grilled cheese!
Finally, they provided some awesome sodas for our non-​beer drinkers as well. That was really appreciated.
So thank you Bruery. Thank you for organizing this event with me. Thank you for providing a table chart. Thank you for putting together such amazing pairings. Thank you for the exceptional service. Thank you for having amazing beers and delicious food.

As mentioned on my previous review, I’m truly fond of this place.
Went back recently to try their Harvest Brunch Menu
and The Bruery Provisions didn’t disappointed me.
They have 2 options pumpkin potato cake and pumpkin French toast
We ordered them both paired with the Pumpkin flight
my favorite from this flight was the Uinta Oak Aged Jacked. Delicious pumpkin ale with strong spices flavor
and the Hangar 24 flight
my favorite from this flight was the Vinaceous, brewed English Old Ale style with Temecula grapes. Great flavor!
Once again 5 stars to this awesome place, my only complain: Where were you during my Chapman years? Where were you when I needed you the most?

Love this place! Awesome beer selection, delicious meats & cheese, and a friendly vibe. It’s pretty classy and not very loud, so take your date or group of friends here if you actually want to have a conversation (as opposed to a standard bar).
It is a little on the pricey side. It can also get packed since the seating area is rather tight. I think they opened up a patio area recently, so that may alleviate the seating situation a little?

For so long, I’ve heard wonderful things about this place. «The beer selection is amazing», they said. Well folks, I went recently to cap off a Pub Crawl and I have to say I was not all that impressed. I mean, sure they had a good variety of beers including some hard to find stuff, but the prices were a little excessive. I mean, $ 2.49 for a Green Flash West Coast? And then another $ 2 for a corkage fee? I’d rather go to Total Wine and More and get a 6 pack.
What I did like was the charcuterie plates. For some reason, cheese just gets me everytime and they had a good selection of great cheeses. I tried the Pizza Port sampler which mainly consisted of Ales (I’m not a fan of Ales) and then I had one of their samplers, which consisted of Ales. I think they have other stuff too.
All in all, I probably won’t go back. I didn’t think their beer was that great for me to back and for other hard to find stuff, I can go to Total Wine and More… or Blue Mountain Beer Company:)

This is prob. the easiest review I’ve ever done, only because this place is so AWESOME! Beers are great, food is great, staff was great, and the prices are very reasonable.
Started with a flight of beers (which were a special collaboration with TAPS restaurant), they were mean, although a couple weren’t really my style, the other three were great. Then moved on to a couple glasses and food, which I included a picture of. It went great with the beers.
Definitely can’t wait to come back!

Update! They started not just serving their own flights, but now are serving their beers in individual servings as opposed to just flights!
Also, they are serving a long, awesome, list of craft beers from other breweries! Absolutely awesome selection.
To top it all off, the patio is now open!
Great spot to catch up with some friends over an amazing craft beer… Or 2… Or 3!

I live rather close to this place so I may be a little biased but I really love it. They have a great selection of beer flights that run about $ 6 — $ 10 each and delicious cheese/​meat plates to compliment them. For you wine drinkers, I suggest the wine flight also… very very good. I think they recently started giving an option for patrons to order full size pints/​bottles of beer also in the tasting area.
They have a vast refrigerated section of beers as well as wines if you want to take something home.
It gets pretty busy, especially on Friday and Saturday nights so you might have to fight for seating but it’s well worth it! A gem in Old Towne Orange for sure.

i wanted something super light to drink and found the perfect drink: The Bruery Nottenroth. its almost like you’re drinking water… you know back in college when you wake up in a house w/​a hangover with nothing to drink but more booze and you just shake your head in disappointment? well, the The Bruery Nottenroth is seriously super light it doesn’t even remind me of alcohol.
we walked here from Haven Gastropub and it was a nice surprise to see shelves of beer to welcome you. i imagine this is what heaven looks like!
we were escorted to the back patio to sit down and order foods/​drinks.
they have ale, beer and wine… however i don’t know if they sell or serve hard liquor?
my other friends got the Specialty flight and it was super interesting and very reasonably priced. 10 bucks for 5 different types of beer!!! i believe you have to start off with the sour flavor and then end with the more dark and bitter beer. my friends told me that the last beer tasted like an old man + ashtray. hahaha. doesn’t sound too appealing.
apparently, their sandwiches are really good as well! the brie and ham?
i will come back and try the specialty flight, since i’m indecisive. and 5 samples for 10 bucks is awesome for me!

I. Love. This place.
The Bruery is one of my favorite breweries in SoCal & I love that I can enjoy their beer with a fantastic cheese & charcuterie plate.
Their beers are amazing & often experimental with a belgium soul. I adore the sours, especially Oude Tarte! If that doesn’t sound like your style, don’t worry, they have guest taps as well & fridges packed with bottles so you’re bound to find something you like.
I also recommend friending them on Facebook & following them on Twitter because they often will have a one day sale of some amazing or rare beer.

I had a blast here… but it wasn’t without a few annoyances. First off, they were too busy and too small to accommodate a group of six people. That sucked, since I came all the way from SD and was with friends for my b-​day. We were told to wait to come back… and after a 2 cocktails somewhere else, we were no closer to sitting down. The beers were good and that was redeeming. I enjoyed the Sour in the Rye, Saison du Lente, Flimishmish, and the IPL the best from their taps. We cracked a a few other belgian bottles from the fridge which was fun, but the 4 buck corkage fee is highway robbery. We cracked a Mélange 3 bottle which was indulgent, syrupy and essentially my b-​day cake.
We also had cheese boards which were okay. Once they get the patio out back going, it will be much easier and more comfortable, but it is otherwise a nicely built beer market and a fun place to taste.

I can’t seem to take my mind off of this little bruery for some reason… there’s just something so addicting about it. The concept of beer & wine tasting with perfectly paired cheeses and bread, and good company, is magically divine.
My friend and I were actually just touring the city and came across this little shop after dinner at the Bruxie. We walked just to look around, but discovered that there’s an area in the back of the store which nice oak benches, and people sitting around sipping, eating, and laughing which made us extremely curious and excited at the same time. After asking, we found out that there are over 6 different wine and beer flights available to the public, and each selection has cheese and bread suggestions that can also be purchased during your tasting. It seriously cannot get any better than that.
Not knowing what to expect, we picked the cheapest beer and wine flights, the beer at only $ 5.00 and the wine at $ 9.00. We actually wanted a mix of both red and white wine for our flight, and the employee was nice enough to swap out two reds for us and change them to white instead at the same price!
Both the beer and wine flight came with 5 glasses each, and each of course, a different color and taste. The portions are actually enough to get you buzzed, but I am not sure if that’s the goal of tastings…
I do have a suggestion though. If you are venturing around the little cute city of orange like we were, and plan on coming to the Bruery Provisions for beer tasting, I highly recommend you to stop by the Chocolate Factory that’s just a few blocks down and pick up some caramel apples. This pairs PERFECTLY with beer, and just makes the experience THAT MUCH BETTER!

It gets packed in their tasting room area so keep a hawk’s eye out for open seats.
I got the original flight and liked like 2 out of the 5. This place is definitely cool for people who want to try out new beers and even take some home too if you like one!

OH wait– I didn’t stay because I wanted to drink a beer not take two ounce shots– but this place is awesome don’t get me wrong– I just thught I could get full size beers too…

What else can I say that hasn’t already been written. Its nice having a place like this in Orange. I am a brew freak and this is a perfect spot to come and try out different flights of beer.
The prices here are REALLY great. You can get a flight of 4 – 5 great beers that range from only 4 – 8 bucks!!! They always have some special events that you can watch out for on their facebook page or their website. I went when Ballast Point (my fav brewery) came in and took over and we all got to sit and try different beers and chat it up with Colby and the other brewers from BP. It was so fun to have something like that so close to home.
Get down to the circle and check this place out. They got wine tasting and cheese pairing (RIP Frogs Breath) and if you cant have a flight then you can always pick up some beer to bring home from their fantastic selection of bottles. Keep a eye out and see if your favorite brewery is come to Provisions… have a safe flight… CHEERS

They offer beer and wine tasting as well as meat /​cheese plates. The flights are $ 3~8 dollars and its a great way to try new beers or seasonal brews. FYI: The meat and cheese plates are a good size for sharing.
Fell in love with the layout and other things they also offer: wine stoppers, cheese cutters, premium soda, gourmet cheeses, beer, wine and chocolates!

BF loves this place, along with the original Bruery location. He goes there with his friends all the time, and he actually bought a year membership this month.
We stopped in here after dinner last week, as he told me that they also have wine tasting — yay! I really liked the way this place was laid out. It smells like new wood, and it’s very clean looking. They were decorated for Fall and I liked the atmosphere they have created in here.
We went to the tasting bar, and unfortunately, they had no white wine tasting that night. I wasn’t in the mood for reds, so I watched my man drink.
He went with a Stout Flight, and it was brought to us very quickly. He liked all but one. After tasting we checked out all the merchandise and he bought a bottle of beer.
I will totally come back here and do some wine tasting, and perhaps eat some of the yummy looking cheese they have in the deli case. Probably wouldn’t come on a Friday again, as it was absolutely packed in there.
