We offer a wifi free environment and encourage the same social interaction you can expect in any Australian roasting house.

History

Established in 2013.

The Aussie Bean was founded by Australian Gavin Wilkinson and his wife, a US Natalie Halfacre Wilkinson. Natalie already had a strong connection to the city of Orange in California with her Chapman University Alumni. The idea of bringing Australian Style coffee to the United States came about when Gavin first came to the US in March 2009. Gavin and Natalie both believe that coffee drinks should focus on coffee rather than additives and flavors. The result is a simple menu that reflects that famous Australian coffee culture, a culture that sees Australia leading the world when it comes to great coffee. At the The Aussie Bean we roast our coffee locally in Old Town Orange to guarantee the freshest possible coffee for our customers.

With a highly successful television carreer behind him in Australia and a move to the United States in 2010 Gavin missed the great taste of coffee and its culture back in Australia. Having always been a lover of great coffee Gavin wanted to introduce Californians, specifically those in Orange County, to Australian Style coffee. This dream saw the birth of The Aussie Bean in 2013.
