Very friendly and caring service. Spacious waiting area. They have great equipment and top doctors to handle colonoscopies and endoscopies. On 2nd floor on St. Joseph Pavilion. They will validate parking too.

I added this as a separate business because my experience with the Emergency Room at St Joseph was negative and I didn’t want to combine a negative review with a positive one for the Endoscopy Department. My mom had a colonoscopy here a couple weeks ago on a Friday. I was impressed with the experience. We checked in at the desk and completed the forms electronically. We then went to a large room where her clothes were removed and she was placed on a gurney in her own little curtained area. There were 6 – 8 other patients already there, each separated by curtains. It could have been an impersonal experience to be in what was clearly a queuing area for various procedures. But the team was very friendly and warm, and super attentive — giving my mother blankets that had been warmed and even giving me a warm blanket when they saw me napping at her bedside. They looked you in the eye, smiled and seemed happy to help. Between the time we arrived and the time she was taken to the procedure it was about 2 hours, which was longer than expected. Things seemed to be run efficiently so I’m not deducting a star for that. Afterwards they gave my mom apple juice and some delicious chocolate chip cookies. There was no rush to leave. I could tell they cared, since they knew my mom had just been found to have a large black mass around her colon(since confirmed as colon cancer). Dr. Alaa Abousaif did the procedure and talked to me afterwards. He opened the conversation gently, asking a couple questions and then said he didn’t have good news for me. It was a good combination of being professional, to the point and clear, without being brusque or distant. Nice man. At the end, one of the nurses accompanied us to our car to make sure my mom was ok. From the ‘thank you’ card they gave us, the support team consisted of Debra, Nancy, Star and Carol. Thanks ladies. I also got hard copies of the electronic forms, aftercare instructions and photos of her colonoscopy.
