Specialties

Jump from 13,500 feet (higher than any other Virginia drop zone) and have the entire thrilling experience recorded by a professional videographer!

Skydive Orange, Inc. is located in beautiful Orange, VA and serves Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C. We are a member of the United States Parachute Association (USPA) operating for more than 35 years. We make more than 18,000 skydives annually, and we are the only drop zone in the region with our own full-time 21 jumper airplane — the Super Otter.

Skydive Orange is open Wednesday through Sunday from spring through fall, and every weekend during the winter. Whether you want to try a tandem skydive, learn to skydive on your own, or are already an experienced skydiver, Skydive Orange is the place to be! Tandem skydives make a great present.

History

Established in 1977.

Skydive Orange originally operated out of Bradshaw Airpark in Buckingham County, and was called Buckingham Parachute Center. Founder Don Simms brought the company to Orange County, and the first skydive was made in Orange in 1977. We have been in continuous operation at Orange County Airport ever since.

In 1984, management changed hands and we officially became a Club-operated drop zone. The name Skydive Orange was inspired by Gus Wing, and it’s what we’ve been called for the past 25+ years. We’ve grown at a swift pace, and we continue to flourish. We look forward to the future — welcoming new tandem skydivers every weekend, teaching AFF students, and growing as a club.
