Skydive Orange

Amazing first time skydiving! The facility was very nice, the staff was professional & Shane, in particular, was phenomenal! I’ll be seeing you again! Thanks!

I thought ’bout the best way to write-​up this bad boy. I mean — I jumped out of a plane and lived — clearly, an easy 5 stars (amiright?!) SO — since ya’ll already know it’s gonna be a «I have the best story at the next company happy hour» experience, I figured I’d add some value in comparison with SkyDive DC — of which I purchased the Groupon (because I’m apparently auditioning for my debut roll in «Extreme Couponers»??? Calm yourself, woman) and SkyDive Orange.
There are 3 things in life you don’t want to cheap-​out on: plastic surgery, toilet paper, and skydiving. I learned the latter by jumping from SkyDive DC in Warrenton, VA last month and SkyDive Orange in Orange, VA yesterday. Let’s do a compare & contrast (yay).
PARKING:
— SkyDiveDC: You park off a muddy path surrounded by what looks to be stuff a homeless guy didn’t event want. I think there is a homeless man living there though — it’s hard to tell. (wave at him though — we all need friends).
— SkyDive Orange: You pull off a main road into a paved /​gravel airport parking lot that is adjacent to the SkyDive Orange $ 800,000 hangar.
BATHROOMS (ladies… feel me right?):
— SkyDiveDC: Have you taken a leak in a Don’s John? If so — you’re prepared to use the trailer bathroom parked outside (again — wave to the homeless gentleman).
— SkyDive Orange: God bless these people! Air conditioned separate men & women’s bathrooms with fully functional shower, more than one stall, and no homeless man (although I was starting to like the guy…)
FOOD (Glorious Food):
— SkyDiveDC: perhaps the homeless brotha can donate, but I didn’t see anything. Got a free water after the dive however. (woot — hydration)
— SkyDive Orange: I literally think a five star chef works there — I dunno, but that smell was GLORIOUS. They have a kitchen constantly pumping out undercharged and deliciously made food. From breakfast to lunch. I think the sign says CASH ONLY however so take the money from couponing with ya. There are 2 vending machines with a selection of coke, red bulls, gatoraids and water (back at it with the hydration, Heather!)
FACILITIES:
— SkyDiveDC: A newish, small hangar that can fit about 3 skydivers packing shoots. Shares the same area with a training couch and the sign in waiver booth.
— SkyDive Orange: A newish gigantic hangar that has — I dunno — 20 skydivers packing shoots? Some certified by the [insert cool sounding packing cert here that I can’t remember] board. You sign in in an air conditioned (bless their souls) room after check-​in. People are grabbing food, chillin’ watching recap GoPro vid at two TV’s. There’s a practice plane door. There’s practice chutes. There’s practice «fall with your hips out like a pregnant woman» carts. There’s maps. There’s everything. There’s Steve — the blessed man who makes it all work right.
VIDEO /​PHOTO:
— SkyDiveDC: Hand strapped GoPro to your instructor.
— SkyDive Orange: A separate «filming’ dude with a DSLR strapped to his head and a video camera on the other side of his head. He’s high fiving you, flying around you as you’re falling. Running up and fist bumping you as you land. Dude was more hyped than I was! They give you tons (maybe 30) of photos and an entire video of the whole thing about 15 minutes after you land — you can watch it before you leave too.
AIRPLANE:
— SkyDiveDC: the plane was more dangerous than falling from the sky at 120mph. We took off from a grass field probably wakin’ up the homeless bro. Max height 10k feet.
— SkyDive Orange: a giant skydive propeller plane made to shove in 10 skydiver instructors /​students with a giant door that opens up to allow everyone to leave in an orderly fashion. We took off from a 2,800 foot runway. Max height 13,500 feet (lots more free fall time).
INSTRUCTORS:
— SkyDiveDC: 2 dudes workin’ their rears off to make deadlines. Nice guys, but they’re so busy going up and down /​packing their own chutes — I was lucky to even get to talk to them.
— SkyDive Orange: tons of instructors. I actually took a class, so I can verify that these guys know what they’re doing. They operate as a «community» so it feels like a group of really good friends who like to bond plummeting to the earth rather than at a bowling alley. Bless Billy and Gigi — two angels masking as skydiving instructors who traded wings for parachutes (they dove with me) and Steve — the chillest «student whisperer» who makes your landing look like a 3 time Gold Medal Olympian figure skater, Larry — the dude headin’ it all up, and Bobby Page who is the air version of Steven Spielberg. And Liz!
PRICE:
— SkyDiveDC: And here’s the only way SkyDiveDC wins — they *are* cheaper. But you know when you buy cheap 1-​ply toilet paper and then you’re like «wow — I see why this was so cheap» a-​ha moment? This is one of those times.
— SkyDive Orange: I didn’t do my tandem here, but I do know that they’re not as cheap. Why? Because they pay their people to be the best. And it shows.

The 2 stars are for the tandem jump partner Mario he was great after arriving 30 minutes early and waiting 2 hours we were moved from 13 spot to 14 and not one person talked to us or tried to explain why this meant another 1 ½ to 2 hours wait they do not take very good of customers no communication at all until it is your turn to jump

Best experience! Had a great time, very professional jumpers and photographers. Highly recommend this place for your first and many jumps to come.

My husband surprised me with a skydiving trip for my 40^th birthday. Talk about thrilling! Everyone at Skydive Orange was very nice, answered all of our questions and in general had an easy going demeanor. Shane was my tandem jump buddy and he was fantastic! We did a back flip out of the plane and we did some cool maneuvers once the chute opened. Lambert was the photographer and although the photography is expensive, for my first trip I’m so glad I have the photographic evidence! Overall, it was a great experience and I highly recommend to all. One note: take some tip money. I think it’s nice to toss a couple bucks to the guy who makes sure you don’t die!

For my 27^th birthday, I wanted to go skydiving with a few friends. I researched local spots and chose Skydive Orange for two reasons:
1) The videos that I saw were AMAZING (in other places, your tandem master is also your videographer; but here, there is another person solely dedicated to capturing those moments); and
2) The plane took you higher (I’ve read other places take you 10,000 ft or 13,000 ft; but here, it’s 13,500 ft).
I called Skydive Orange to ask a few questions (I probably called them 4 times total), and they were very patient with me and answered all of my questions. In addition, the online registration process was simple, and their website was very informative.
My crew and I arrived around 9:45 for our 10:00 appointment. The day was absolutely perfect; upper 60s and not a cloud in the sky (all this at the end of OCTOBER). We saw a 15-​min video about the risks involved with tandem skydiving. Afterward, we completed our «if-we-die-we-can’t-sue» paperwork (gosh, I swear it was 10+ pages worth of stuff). Then, we paid our remaining balance. Tip from Chiq: Pay your balance in CASH so that you can get a discount; AND, if you have a Common Access Card (CAC), bring it! You’ll get a $ 15 discount. I had two friends who couldn’t attend and, luckily, I was able to transfer their $ 50 deposits toward my balance ($ 100 off? I’ll take it! Happy birthday to me!).
Once we paid, that’s when the waiting game began. The website tells you that you could be at the place up to 6 hours after your appointment. I would say about an hour later, we took our 10-​minute training, which was led by TJ (who is awesome and nice on the eyes *wink*). Later, we met up with our tandem masters, who gave us more information and suited us up. My tandem master was Pete, who is absolutely hilarious; not to mention, he’s from the 757 too, so I had all faith in him. :) Tip from Chiq: If it’s your first time jumping, I highly recommend that you get videos and stills (pics). It’s not like you’re going skydiving everyday. My videographer was Ryan, who was the bomb dot com. He called me over to the end of the hangar and did a quick interview. I appreciated the fact that he did a couple of re-​takes to ensure that I had the best video.
Around 1pm or so, we were boarding the plane and taking off. Pete rapped a lil bit (told you he was hilarious), and Ryan interviewed me and took some pics of me and my friends. By this point, I didn’t have a nervous bone in my body, but when the plane door opened up for us to jump out… ish got real. Out of the four of my friends (I was the only girl, by the way), I went second. The weirdest thing ever is seeing someone at the edge of a plane, and then not seeing them anymore. That may sound strange, but it was totally weird. As Pete and I shifted toward the opening of the plane, my excitement came back… I was so ready, then he counted us down, and we jumped. BEST.EXPERIENCE.EVER. You know that sinking feeling you get when you dip on a roller coaster? Well, you don’t feel that AT ALL! It’s just wind hitting your face; I learned that we went a max of 140mph! As we were falling, I could see Ryan recording us, we even fist-​pounded each other. It was soo dope. Pete was absolutely amazing. He did some Superman moves, and he played peek-​a-​boo with my hair LOL (I didn’t know this until I saw the video lol… pure awesomeness). He even let me steer the parachute, and we did a few spins. Tip from Chiq: If you have a weak stomach, don’t do too many spins. I was actually slightly nauseous after we landed, but I was like screw it, let’s do it anyway lol. Our landing was PERFECT; we landed on our feet. Ryan interviewed me some more, Pete and I high-​fived each other, he wished me a happy birthday, and Ryan had my DVD ready in 15 minutes. I also got a skydiving certificate.
When I got home, of course I couldn’t wait to upload all of my goodies to Facebook/​Instagram. I was able to upload my skydive to my Facebook page, and it inspired so many of friends (including the ones who declined my initial invitation lol) to take the leap themselves.
Overall, I recommend Skydive Orange to any and everyone considering taking that leap of faith. Awesome staff, awesome video and pics, and awesome time. I plan to do this once a year now. :)

This was my second jump, but my first HALO (High Altitude Low Opening) tandem here at Skydive Orange. The staff was very professional, and answered all my questions. I was impressed with the instruction I received. It didn’t feel rushed and everything was well planned. Just because you have a reservation doesn’t mean you are boarding the plane at that time. They did tell you that you can be at the jump zone for about 6 hours. You need to take in consideration the waivers you have to sign, and the folks who are ahead of you to jump.
My instructor Mario was AWESOME! He was very patient and very knowledgeable. He kept me calm, and told me the play by play of all what was going to happen. He even talked about the school they had there if I was interested,
The jump I did was very expensive, but the memories I have are priceless. I took home a good quality pictures and video. Thank you Ryan for the awesome pictures and video.
You guys have my business! I look forward to working on getting certified next year. Thank you Skydive Orange! YOU ROCK!

I really want to enjoy this experience, I really do, but Skydive Orange’s terrible treatment of customers made it difficult.
Our reservation was at 12pm. We arrived earlier, around 11:40am. We were told that in 40 minutes we will have the training… Hmm okay, why didn’t you just tell us to arrive at 12:40pm then?
We actually received our 2 minute on the ground training at 1pm.
After waiting another hour, it was 2:00pm then, two hours after our initial reservation, with no one telling us how much longer we’d have to wait, we grew anxious and asked again. We were told that we would suit up in another 40 minutes.
But no, we didn’t. We didn’t make our jump until 4pm.
They seem to have a spreadsheet of schedule with people’s name on it. So our question is: WHY DON’T YOU JUST TELL US that we are going to wait 4 hours???
When we finally made the jump, we asked the others jumping with us when they reservations were: and they were 2 pm reservations.
During the 4 hours of waiting, we constantly see first time divers arriving later than us getting on the jump before us – how did that happen?
We fully understand that things like this would incur delays, but what I think is unacceptable is how they HANDLED it. If you want to put us behind schedule of those with later reservations, fine, just tell us!
We have a life! We have stuff to do!
If you have told us when we arrived that the estimated jump time was 4pm, then we can go out, do out own things and come back at 3:30pm. —- WHY DO YOU KEEP US WAITING THERE THE WHOLE TIME, lying to us, constantly telling us that it’s 40 minutes away???
At the end, I was so hungry and dehydrated that I had a severe reaction to the flight and jump. Mind you, I’m a person who lived in 5 countries across 3 continents, so I NEVER get sick on a plane, but the starving for a whole half day and anxious waiting got to me.
Was it because we were too nice? Because we didn’t ask you when our turn is every half an hour that you pushed us so late in the afternoon? Just tell us the truth: you are going on at 4pm, then we would be fine!

SKYDIVING!!!
Skydive Orange did an AMAZING job teaching us how to be safe, getting us up in the sky and then helping us get to the ground in one piece with amazing instructors, spot on photographers/​videographers and an awesome view to boot.
My boyfriend had Mario as his instructor and I had John. They were both awesome in their own rights, made us feel totally safe and rocked our socks off. Super professional, calmed us down and gave us the rides of our lives, what more can you ask for as your first time jump instructor???
Our videographers/​photographers were absolutely outstanding. I had Cherry (David) and my boyfriend had Larry who were basically our personal paparazzi crew. They made us feel totally comfortable and kept us smiling and pumped throughout the whole ride.
Overall, everyone at Orange was great. It might seem easy going and a little all over the place with a lack of direction but don’t let these jumpers fool you, everyone knows exactly what’s going and knows where you need to be so sit back, keep your eyes and ears open and enjoy the best free fall you’ll ever experience.
Thanks for making my birthday the most memorable thus far — SKYDIVE ORANGE GETS 5 STARS IN MY BOOK!

This place was a great place to jump. The staff were super friendly and outgoing. Kevin was my tandem instructor and he was really cool. The price was right and these guys and gals are pro jumpers. If I’m ever out on the East Coast again, I’d choose this place to do another jump!

The skydiving experience in itself was phenomenal (the instructors were first class). The experience with the staff prior to skydiving was below average to say the least. As a first time jumper (with my daughter), I expected a process in which some sort of orientation would be provided on how the day would develop. What we experienced was a not well organized system where first time jumpers had no clue as to when they would go through the orientation or when they would jump. We kept getting misinformation from different members of the administrative staff. This part of the experience was the most frustrating…

I went for my birthday just a few weeks ago and dragged 3 of my best friends with me. We were originally scheduled to jump on Saturday night and the weather was being a real pain in the *ss. Despite the tough weather, Skydive Orange took us up in the plane and spent at least 30 minutes trying to find a break in the clouds, but were unsuccessful.
BECAUSE THEY’RE AWESOME — they scheduled us on the very first flight the next morning. There were no clouds in sight and we jumped from 13,500 feet! Everything was absolutely perfect — from free-​fall to a buttery smooth landing. I cannot begin to describe the feeling of free-​fall except to say that it’s something everyone has to try.
If you go, you MUST do video and pictures. Reliving the experience is priceless !
We can’t wait to get back out there and jump out of another f*cking plane!!!

I did my first tandem skydive this weekend with Skydive Orange and it was absolutely incredible. Skydive Orange was suggested to me by a friend who goes often and he told me Orange was the most reputable place in the area. Judging by my experience, I’m sure he is right. I honestly didn’t really want to skydive (was going along with my boyfriend) and was very nervous all week long, I almost bailed several times. However, from the minute I got there I started feeling better about it, the staff was so organized & professional and the hanger is really nice. People with parachutes were landing in front of me every few minutes and that also put my mind at ease.
We had to wait an hour or two but just expect that going in — that’s how it is at every skydiving place — so I hear! I would recommend scheduling your skydive right when they open if you really can’t deal with waiting, or just bring along lunch and relax outside on the bleachers watching people land. It’s worth the wait!
Shane (instructor) and Larry (video/​pictures) were my team and I would recommend them to anyone. Shane was AMAZING. He was such a nice person and he shared with me that he trains Marines in parachuting so I felt very comfortable with him. Larry was also great — he made the experience fun and I have an amazing video thanks to him! I would recommend everyone buy a video on their first time if you are scared — It made me comfortable during the free fall to have someone to look at who was making funny faces, smiling, and waving to me & Larry was just awesome! My boyfriend went with Dirk who was also great — and Kevin who did our training was great too — honestly you can’t go wrong at Skydive Orange.
Once I jumped out of the plane, I guess my adrenalin kicked in and my fear was erased completely. I enjoyed every second of it. It does not feel like you are falling and it is so surreal, amazing, and incredible — words can’t even describe (Anna’s review on here does a good job). Then the parachute opened and it was a nice cruise back down to land enjoying the view and the landing was easy! Anyone who is debating going — you must go & you must go to Skydive Orange!

The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is that I hate to wait. I skydived on Sept. 9^th and it rained on the 8^th, so I think a lot of the folks that were rained out on the 8^th returned on 9^th.
Nevertheless, it was an AWESOME experience.
Mario (instructor) and Lambert (ground instructor & video dude) were my dream team and they taught me everything I needed to know and made me look cool as hell. And yes, buy the video and pics… at least for your first jump. You will regret it if you don’t.
Skydiving is not an amusement park ride and you will not feel like you’re on one. It’s a surreal experience that translates to each person differently.
I’m hooked! I’m headed back in a couple of weeks for my 2^nd jump.
If you’re thinking about it, STOP thinking and make it happen. SERIOUSLY.

I’ve gone skydiving with these guys three times and almost considered ponying up the monies to do my certification with them. It’s a fun motley crew that runs this joint. There’s not a whole lot I can add that hasn’t already been said.
The video and pictures are nice if you feel the need to prove to the world that you went skydiving. I got them the first time, but honestly, in a couple months, you won’t look at that video again and your Facebook profile picture will have changed to the next big thing you’ve done. And then for the first part of the free fall, you are too busy trying to look cool for the camera guy that you forget to really enjoy the rush. So for all you folks who are trying to be fiscally responsible, never fear, you won’t miss it *that* much. I actually enjoyed myself much more on the second jump because I didn’t have to worry about the videographer.
For those who are repeat divers and want to have a little more fun, let the dude strapped to you know. They’ll take a few more liberties, let you pull the chute and handle the «controls» a bit longer, and give you a different launch out of the plane… backflip anyone? For those who really want to step it up, consider the Assisted Free Fall (AFF) course for your first or second jump, which takes an extra five or six hours, and then you can jump with no one strapped to you.
The company does schedule the jumps in blocks of time and then they put the first folks on the plane who do the safety video and get all their paperwork done first. If you want to avoid waiting around, try to get in the first group of the day. If its too early for you to wake up and drive out, I think they let you camp out on their grounds, but call and ask.

The simple fact I’m able to write this review means Skydive Orange did their job. Granted I broke both my ankles due to a bad landing, but I can’t really fault them for that. Can I? That 20 page waiver I signed said I couldn’t, so I can’t. Legally. I keed. I keed. I didn’t break anything… except maybe the air speed record of awesome!
Your experience, and the video if you buy one, will be very dependent on the people you jump with. I don’t know enough to recommend anyone, just know there are some VERY different personality types and they have a big impact on the «feel» of your jump. I think they can be a bit laid back at times, but that’s likely a function of them being crazy (and comfortable) enough to jump out of a plane 10 times a day.

Do it! Do it, do it, do it. That’s the bottom line of the following TL DR review. :)
Here are the things I did the night before my first tandem skydive: Google «skydive mortality,» «skydive death,» «skydive vs. scuba dive mortality,» and «skydive accidents.» Send an email to my family telling them I loved them. Cuddle with my dog before realizing he was being *unusually* cuddly and googling «can dogs sense impending death.» Sleep for 2 hours while mournfully holding fiancé’s hand. Wake up and shovel an entire king-​size bag of Raisinets into my mouth one handful at a time while staring off into the middle distance.
Guess what ended up being the scariest part of the whole experience? THE NIGHT BEFORE, duh. There is nothing scarier than the unknown, especially when the little you do know involves falling 13,500 feet, screaming lustily, as the distance between you and rock-​hard Earth decreases by 176 feet per second.
The minute I arrived at Skydive Orange, my fears began to evaporate. First, I was happy to see it was a proper airport with a runway and a well-​maintained Super Otter doing the drops — way nicer than the grass strip and crappy Cessna at the airfield-​slash-​skydive park where I used to do sailplane gliding. Second, everyone there had a sense of humor, but not about safety equipment or paperwork. Nobody used words like «bodacious» or «badical.» (What gave me the impression that skydivers acted like extras in 1980’s surfer movies?) If you look up «genial competence» in the dictionary, you will probably see a picture of the clean-​cut, fitysomething instructor who led me on my dive.
I’ve read a few grumpy reviews from customers who had to wait around in the hangar 12 hours because of weather delays, customer queues, etc. I lucked out: the weather was clear, the wind was negligible, and the air was so cold that only 5 other buckaroos showed up for tandems. We traveled up to altitude two at a time, along with our instructors and a bunch of more experienced solo divers. I was instantly at ease to discover that the fellow first-​timer on my flight was an acrophobic Catholic priest from Germany. (God was not going to let us crash!!)
By the time I got up in the sky, I wasn’t at all frightened, but nevertheless: All but the most basic functions of my cerebral cortex shut down the instant I jumped out of the plane. I remember thinking OH MY GOD THERE IS SO GASP MUCH WIND IN MY FACE GASP I CAN’T BREATHE. I also remember the videographer, a second skydiver, poking me to look up at him and smile because I was too busy staring down at the ground while mouthbreathing like a trout stuck on a sandbar. Then… blank.
My informed scientific conclusion is that while the human body travels at 120mph, the human brain must travel a whole hell of a lot slower. Higher thought didn’t catch up with me until my instructor pulled the chute, but when it did — oh, oh my God, I would have been on cloud nine if there had been a single cloud in the sky that day. I was flying! The beautiful mountains were laid out all around me! The cows were so tiny down below!
The second we came in for a landing, I broke out in a grin that stayed on my face for the next five hours. Seriously. Five hours. The endorphin rush was so powerful that all I could do on the drive back was sit and make goo-​goo eyes out the window. Every song I heard on the radio was the most amazing I’d ever heard. I fell in love with everything I thought about: my fiancé; the acrophobic priest; the chiseled redhead who came up to me in the hangar to ask how my dive had been; the matronly beagle who served as a kind of club mascot; the color orange; my Chik-​fil-​A sandwich; the Earth in winter; Leonardo da Vinci; soaring eagles; provolone cheese. Everything.
I always knew that the brain was capable of producing chemicals more potent than morphine or Ecstasy. I never really believed it until I went skydiving. The high has now dimmed, but I’m still so happy with my experience I’m almost haunted by it. It was SO AMAZING, and thanks to Skydive Orange, it was also safe and fun.

After years of wondering and wishing, I finally got out to do this. Thank you groupon! We had to arrive in the early hours of the morning. Skydive Orange is in a big airplane hangar or barn. When planning a jump here, you can expect to be hanging around for a long time. Like hours upon hours. Because the weather might change or the airplane might need maintenance.
Anyway, you have to watch a video in a little classroom explaining the fun and dangers of jumping out of a perfectly good airplane. Then you sign your life away. It’s almost like closing on a mortgage for a house.
Then you register for a flight/​jump. They’ll provide you a 15 minute preflight instruction on what to do/​expect/​equipment. The people are pretty funny. Then your instructor calls you and fits you with a jumpsuit, harness, helmet, goggles, and gloves. You’ll once again go over some pre-​flight checks and if you’re lucky, you might even get to jump right away.
So your name is called over the intercom and it’s time to go! You get on the plane with your instructor and a bunch of other crazy people. They are really good about pre-​jump checks and are constantly doing them. Did I mention how funny everyone is? The humor doesn’t stop. I felt really comfortable. After 14 000 feet and the jettison of a few people, it was my turn.
I’d been up in the air on military flights and even went hang gliding once. I was a little scared getting closer to the door, but that went away quickly when AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! We jumped out!
It was the ride of my life! I just can’t describe the feelings that were going through my mind… except maybe total freedom and a lot of adrenaline. Freefall lasted for about a minute and then he deployed the chute. After that, it was like hang gliding again. We cruised down back to earth. The ride was over and I was feeling like I had to go again.
I strongly recommend paying for the videographer and pictures. Especially if you’re going on your first jump. You’ll want to relive these moments again… and again. Plus all your friends will be jealous once you show them.

I’d been meaning to go to Skydive Orange for years, and the hubs and I finally went this past Sunday for our first/​tandem jump.
They’re professional and I was totally at ease with their expertise. To top it all off, our instructors and videographers were hilarious. Chris was my instructor and Tres (I think that’s how you spell it) was my video/​pics guy. However you spell it, he’s awesome. The plane ride up with all guys was almost as entertaining as the free-​fall.
Huge plus is that the vids and pics were ready in no time and, since they were ready to download, the hubs and I were able to edit them into one kewl vid showing both of us.
I’ve seen some other tandem skydiving vids and the quality was not nearly as good as the one we have. And to think that I was gonna bypass getting the vid and pics for myself. Just get ‘em. You won’t be sorry.
I would recommend Skydive Orange to everyone, without hesitation.

I have been very impressed with the folks at Skydive Orange. They are extremely thorough with their coaching and instruction! If you’re looking to get into the sport, this may be one of the best places to learn and improve your skills. They follow the rules «to the T» and track all AFF (Accelerated Free Fall) students according to the official USPA Progression (Categories A-​H) yellow card.
Their prices are pretty standard for skydiving (which is an expensive sport). As you’ve probably heard, it is worth it. Lastly, everyone is so damn friendly. Gotta love the skydiver personality. Very laid-​back and interesting.
Bottom line: 1) if you’re interested in doing a tandem… if you want more scenery, do it at the ocean or something. If you just want to jump out of a plane and enjoy the experience, Skydive Orange is great. 2) If you want to fly solo, Skydive Orange’s AFF program is probably one of the best in the country. And definitely pre-​pay for your license… it ends up being so much cheaper… I wish I had!
