Excellent, painless process, from start to finish. Was looking into having a coffee shop built in Orange County, and had no idea where to start. I asked around, and someone told me about this company. I was told they built some wonderful looking shops in Disneyland. From the first call to this company, I was impressed. The women who answered the phone wasn’t your typical airhead, that doesn’t know anything about construction. She was very blunt, but polite at the same time. She answered all my questions, gave me pointers, suggestions, and set up a meeting with Sean and John. And just like that, I was sitting down with these guys, telling them my vision. They took their notes, asked questions, and layed a foundation out of what I was dreaming. They then set another appointment to come back after they did their research, and prints.
It took a bit of time for the guys to finish their research, and I expected that. These things don’t happen overnight, and there are a lot of things that need to be in order before permits can even be pulled. In that time, I also got another estimate, so I could compare the two. To make a longer story short, I ended up having Orchid proceed with my dream. And I have never been happier. Their workers are great, very detailed, and I was updated weekly with progress reports.
Bottom line, if you want a company that handles everything during construction, this is the team you want. They turned my dream into a real life thing. So happy with everything, and I will recommend Orchid to anyone looking to build, big or small. Thanks again guys.

When I read the negative reviews about Orchid Construction, I think they must be referencing another construction company. It doesn’t make sense…
John, Sean and their team at Orchid are top notch professionals in their field. They have been a premier restaurant/​bar/​deli/​fast food franchise contractor for many years. Their expertise is helping business owners with new construction, remodeling, renovation, anything to do with improving the layout or appearance of their business. These guys are very good at what they do. I helped them with their Google marketing for about a 5 year period and I have to agree with other comments made about them, things like «they did a nice upscale design and timely excecution of work», and «if you want to do the job right the first time and never have to worry about it again, then Orchid is the way to go». They have ALWAYS operated at the highest degree of honesty and integrity. I keep them as my only referral in my phone for anyone needing any kind of commercial construction work for small businesses anywhere in the Southern California area.

Orchid has been a pleasure to deal with, from the start to finish. Don’t be fooled by other reviews here, I can assure you that they are a top notch professional company with lots of experience not only in general construction, but also plan checks, design, city inspections, and such. If you are on a tight budget, I suggest you look outside a Home Depot. But if you want to do the job right the first time and never have to worry about it again, then Orchid is the way to go. John and Sean are both very helpful and know how to treat their clients.

I’m really glad that the woman I just spoke to was completely rude, didn’t try to understand what I was asking and generally didn’t want to help me. She did me a huge favor, from the reviews I’m reading here on Unilocal. I called to ask some questions and explained that I was calling for a client of mine and that they didn’t have any experience in building a restaurant from the ground up. She said «So, they own a restaurant but they don’t know anything???» It was beyond rude… I told her this clearly wasn’t going to work out and she said «Thank you…» Like, «Thank you and get off my phone». Well, I just called another person who I was referred to and if he gives a good bid, then my clients will spend their THOUSANDS of dollars in Insurance money with that guy… Thanks again rude, impatient lady…

I referred my client to work with them and build a new concept asian fusion restaurant where i completed all the branding and design work and all i have to say is that they did a nice upscale design and timely excecution of work.

My experience with Orchid Construction and Facility Services is nightmare! They delayed our project with all excuses and could never make their promise. They also keep asking for more money with various reasons. They lied to us on project progress when they asked for payment. Yes they got our money by cheating us. We finally got enough and fired them! What a right decision! Now we are with another very good honest contractor and our project is progressing very well. We can finally just focus on our project, not waiting for the contractor’s replies or finding more money to the contractor or arguing with the contractor all the time! But Orchid is still holding a lot of our money. I will update you how much refund our attorney can finally get from them.
Initially we agreed to pay premium price to Orchid for our project because they said they would spend most in our dining area but it is not true. I don’t even know where our money went. When we asked Orchid for details of spending, they delayed us forever and never gave us a detailed allowance. They don’t care you are going broke because of their delay.
And their pricing is about 40% higher than other honest good contractors based on my experience. So beware, don’t be deceived by their good talk when you pick your contractors.

if i could put –5 stars, i would. they will trick you. they would do the job 1^st, and suddenly you will see a huge amount of bill in your face. charge beyond normal hour rate. don’t even think about calling them. trust me, i have been ripped off
