M & M Nursery

Wonderful place to spend a few hours wandering amongst the flowers and miniature plants. To say nothing about the gorgeous fairy gardens created by their in-​house expert, Beverly. We recently attended their fairy garden contest. They always do such a good job organizing every event they hold. Oh, and you can also buy plants there. I forget that this is a nursery. I always buy something when I’m there. They have an on line video showing you how to make a fairy garden. The website is Fairy Garden Expert. Or you can go to the Dragonfly where they have classes. Beware — fairy gardens are addictive!

This nursery has a nice selection of cottage style plants that you may have difficulty finding anywhere else. Many of the plants are locally grown and the customer service is very helpful and friendly. My friends and I love this nursery!

Really want to love this place but it has no restrooms for customers. I was told the closest one was down the road. After trying to shop I finally had to leave empty handed. For younger bladders it’s a wonderful place for master minding your fairy gardens, seamed to carry more unique harder to find miniature plants but be prepared to pay premium price for them.

If you love miniature gardens, you are in for a treat! They have an unbelievable selection of small trees and other items to make a miniature garden. I have been going there for years and love it, there is nothing like this place anywhere. They also have a great selection of cactus and regular plants.

I could spend all day looking around the fairy gardens. Absolutely beautiful and inspiring!
I’ve been into gardening succulents and creating plant boxes for them. Now I decorate them with all the little fairies, gnomes, mushrooms, benches… you name it! This place has everything!!!

Are you kidding? One of the best nurseries in Southern California! Abundant, healthy plants and an unusual selection, too. Not the same ‘ol. Super patient staff.

I’ve been here many times to purchase gifts for various people. They have great customer service, the staff is always very helpful and nice. The selection of flowers, pots and items for fairy gardens is amazing. I’ve come on many occasions and each time I leave satisfied and pleased with my purchase.

One of my favorite nurseries for pre bonsai and fairy garden plants. Owners are the best and I look forward to new inventory each month.

I found this place to be dreary, overpriced and unfriendly. There really is not a wide selection of plants and the owner is not customer service oriented. I came here because of the reviews, but found myself wondering if they were the friends or family of the owner. 4.5 stars???

I always wanted to make a fairy garden but its hard to find the right accessories. This shop has so many to choose from! The lady working was so kind and willing to help my friend and I make our garden. Love this place!!!

The staff is very friendly and helpful.
They also have a great variety of plants and accessories for fairy gardens. My daughter made her garden about two years ago and we still go there to pick up additional décor. Fairy gardens have very specific needs and m & m always has what she is looking for.
I also buy my veggie plants here. They have done pretty well. Herb, too!

My daughter had been here with friends and we went back to get some more plants to build a fairy garden. We drove up from Laguna Niguel and wow — it was so worth the trip. The sheer amount of creativity that has gone into all of these gardens is amazing — and the results are stunning. We left with a much thinner wallet, but we are so excited to put our garden together! Not to mention, the owner and all of the folks working there were exceptionally nice to my 7 year old and me, and went out of their way to share their knowledge with us. We will definitely be back again and again!

This is my favorite nursery. Everyone is very nice, helpful and informative. I love the unusual selction of plants and the fairy garden supplies are endless. I’ve told several friends and co-​workers about M & M and I look forward to going back.

I have always loved going to M&M for their great selection of succulents for terrariums and miniature plants and figures for fairy gardens. I have entered their fairy garden contests at the Fairgrounds in the past and I am always amazed to see the creativity of their customers. Every time I go to M&M I end up buying way more than I expected, and when my mother comes out to visit from the East Coast she always has her take me there too to stock up on items for her fairy gardens. Unfortunately our last visit there was not pleasant at all– I dropped an opened fairy that was not securely glued to a little swing in display in the area where you purchase items and she broke (I was desperately trying to juggle my daughter and my items I was purchasing etc.). I felt really bad– but was made to feel worse by the man working that day that was obviously mad about the broken fairy and he made me pay full price for the opened fairy that I broke, even though we had just purchased over $ 100 worth of items and I’ve been there many times and have never broken a thing. I just feel that I have spent so much money here over the years, to be made to feel bad for an accident was really unfair, then to be charged full price for a fairy that was not in a box and had been on display for a while kind of bummed me out on M & M. I am most likely not going back to M &M and will find my fairy supplies at other locations. :(

I’ve been gardening for a while now and my first visit brought inspiration and motivation to step up my gardening game.
I love the idea of fairy gardens, which is a totally new concept to me. I bought some pieces to start my own.
The attendant was helpful, friendly, and well-​versed in their products. I will be coming back soon.

My friends from work insisted on going one afternoon and I’m so happy I went! One of them is super into pixie gardens… if that’s something you’re interested in, this is THE PLACE for you! Interested in some indoor plants or succulents? drive over right away! The owner lets you do your thing but is super friendly and helpful if you look like you need help or if you ask a question.
Parking hasn’t been a problem for me… my only problem is not going overboard!

I loved this place on my first visit! Until now, I had only been into the garden centers at places like Walmart and Home Depot. I have a pretty black thumb, against my best efforts, but I am getting better.
I went in with a pal who had the goal of finding something pretty and easy to put into a cheap hanging basket she had waiting on her north facing patio. I, myself, needed to find bagged cactus soil for my Home Depot succulents sitting on my south facing patio (there had been no succulent or cactus soil at Home Depot and the plants were getting unhappy in their original packaging!).
We wandered around a bit looking at what was there, and were so surprised by the cute fairy gardens and little dollhouse like props! We were not approached by staff asking if we needed help, so after we had looked but not found exactly what we needed yet, we went inside and asked for help.
The lady inside by the register came out with us to show us where everything was! She was very friendly and had all the answers we needed. First the cactus mix, then some deco rocks for me. Next she shows us the partial-​shady plants and pointed out which were good for hanging. My friend wanted colorful blooms, so we went with the begonias she recommended, and she even told us how many to fit into the planter! The only disappointment was that even though they had a nice selection of succulents, there really wasn’t any Aloe Vera for my friend, which she was also hoping to get.
We brought our goodies home and did some potting/​repotting. The begonias looked great out of the pot, not even close to root bound, UNLIKE every plant I have gotten at Home Depot, ever. We decided that if these current and new plants stay happy, we will be back to M & M for more! As it is, I spotted some decorative hooks and hangers the perfect length for my existing hummingbird feeder, so for me, it may be sooner rather than later!

Great staff. Interesting plants, from crazy interesting assorted potted succulents to many types of lavender. The terrariums are cool, as are the statues of dragons and gnoes that are available here!

Great place, great selection and adorable, tee-​wee fairy gardens that bring out the 5 year old tea party loving girl or boy in you. I can see myself with hundreds of these gardens when I’m in my twilight years and nothing better to do then tend to my garden.
I was obsessed with building a terrarium and the staff was very helpful in assisting me find plants that would thrive in an enclosed jar. I was a bit sad I only had four plants to choose from but it’s okay. I could really only fit two plants in the jar i had anyway.
What I loved most about this place was the selection of whimsical miniature figures and furniture you can choose from for your mini garden. Their selection included the obvious, from little gnomes, mushroom houses, chairs, swings, animals to of course, FAIRIES! But they also had cool things like golf clubs, coke bottles, crates and BBQ sets. You can really get wild with your garden.

M&M Nursery is great place to visit for the eyes, soul, and nose. What a bright spot in this bland old Tustin Avenue neighborhood they’re in. This isn’t too big or too small. They have a little of everything for your garden, no matter the size. A poet once said, «A single rose can be your garden». And they’ve got the mini gardens that are really cool. That’s something you rarely see in any garden.
Roberta, an old friend is a self-​described rose nut, though her friends and I just think she’s a nut. Anyway, 15 years ago, she told me about this place. She and her husband have 30 plus roses in their yerd, and this is their favorite place to buy roses. So when a friend of mine of mine had her 39^th birthday (again!), she wanted a rose called, «Double Delight». It’s a vanilla ice cream colored white on the top and center with a strawberry red petal on the bottom. It’s a very sweet and very fragrant hybrid tea, the kind you cut and put in a vase and voila — it’s aromatherapy. They had it here, and made a great birthday present. It’s still as strong and beautiful as ever. But they have more than this variety, and more than just roses.
Every year, around March, they start to get the spring bedding plants. And the stars of the show are the tomatoes, bell peppers, egg plants, and others. They have most of the varieties that are «hot» for the season as well as classic types — like Early Girl still the largest selling variety in the world. Last year here, I bought Sungold — about the sweetest tomato of all and very prolific, Pink Brandywine is there, too, and it wins lots of tomato tasting contests. I also got the sweet, fruity, and spicy Green Grape used to make green ketchup. They all did well into the fall. They have organic and non-​organic fertilizers and pesticides and soil amendments.
I totally support long time family run businesses such as this. They know their stuff, and are really happy to share their knowledge. Because of the compact size of the place, they take good care of every plant. Everything looks great, especially the flowering plants and fruit tree in the spring and summer. You park and everything is right there. Prices are reasonable. Lines aren’t usually too bad, but you might get behind someone buying lots and lots of plants with their tax refund. They’ll help you to your car if you need it.
The only tough thing sometimes is the parking. On gorgeous spring weekend days, you might have to fight to get a parking spot. I suggest avoiding those times altogether and come during the week. I’ve had to park around the corner when the old ladies start snarling for a parking spot. Cat fights for parking can ruin a sunny day.
