One of the only places willing to do my laundry on Saturday and have it ready same day. They’ll honor their word unlike some of the places around here. Also, I redeemed the check-​in offer without any hassle. Good people here!

No one likes going to a laundromat. The small exception may be single people who go in the hopes of hooking up with someone. I guess it could happen. But the rest of us detest it at worst and unhappily tolerate it at best. The creepy people, sketchy neighborhoods, rank strip malls, busted machines and general filth that seems to go hand-​in-​hand with most laundry facilities – even those in private apartment buildings – make it what it is: a most dreadful chore.
Well, folks, if you are in a situation in which you MUST go to a laundromat… Lighthouse Laundromat is the one you should choose!
LL is well ventilated, always clean, not scary, has easy parking, nice and friendly staff, a little snack stand, vending machines, convenient hours and, most importantly, it has plenty of washers and dryers! I have been here several times and never once have I had to wait for a machine – not even on a Saturday or Sunday and not even when it is busy.
This is hands down the best laundromat I have ever been to. I highly recommend it.
Some tips:
— The washers and dryers run on a charge card which you get from a machine when you arrive; there is a $ 1 fee for a new card, so don’t toss it out if you plan to come back
— The laundry card machine is cash-​only but they do have an ATM on site
— The washers and dryers are various sizes in order to accommodate whatever type of laundry you have and the fee varies, depending on which you use
— There is a patio with tables and chairs where you can read, dick around on your phone or enjoy a snack while you wait for your laundry
— The washers have four different compartments for soaps and cleaners; be sure to read the instructions and verify you are using the correct compartments for whatever type of soap you have (I am an idiot who did NOT carefully read this the first time I came here. Oops.
— The owner and staff are always around and willing to assist you!

This review is for those of you who are new to Laundromats. You, who have been blessed with a working washer & dryer your whole life, in the comfort of your own home — you, who at the very t h o u g h t of placing your clothes in a public washer, made you physically ill, well tremble at the very least — this review is for you…
I was you. But probably the very same circumstances that brought you to this review, befell me and I now have 6 months of laundromat experience under my belt.
So let me just save you some time.
THIS IS YOUR PLACE. Make the drive to Orange-​Olive and allow Lighthouse Laundromat to relieve half of your anxiety. Yes, you are using a public washer and dryer, but they are the nicest, cleanest machines that I have seen in a 5-​mile radius of our beautiful Orange. I walked in and had a sigh of relief, the counters are clean, the floors are clean, the machines are way better than the broken one at home…
I write this review from the p a t i o, with only 3 other people doing laundry today. We all share reading in common, as we all sit with our books.
There is a snack shop. Annd while I wish it was a café serving mimosas and hummus, I am taken by the fact that they are at least serving some. thing, other than dollar store detergent and suavitel (sp?)
And best part! Leave your quarters at home for beach parking, bring CASH ONLY to fill up your loadable card, and simply go machine to machine with just a swipe. Trust me, 6 months and a 1000 quarters later, I know I saved at least 10 minutes of my time with just a swipe!
If y o u read this and find that you have an even better choice in Orange, please lmk. I am now obsessed with the idea of a perfect laundromat (home), but yah…

Last Saterday afternoon we had a pile of laundry to do. When I say pile I mean pile (30 loads) We have been without a machine for two weeks due to receiving faulty machines from Howards in LaHabra — 4 times. fed up we sent them back and got our money back.
We Unilocaled this Laundromat. Went and we’re were very happy we did. They have wonderful machines and it’s a nice place. It’s got a few maintenance issues with the old building, but the machines are big, clean, effient, and more than addiquate for the massive job we had in store.
We used 6 washing machines and probablly could have used less. The machines are very high capasity and handle a alot of cloths. they are very high tech.
The proprietor is often on the premises and there is a full time helper there to give a hand for any questions or help. They have a little store to get drinks and treats. no coffee but candy and chips and laundry soap ect!!! I was pleased & suprised with its cleanliness and ease in functionality. Only one thing came out with a spot still on it and My husband said it was he who had left it that way??? Things that normally do not get thoroughly clean were getting cleaner than ever, (yellow cleaning cloths) and in a shorter amount of time given!!! 39 minute wash and rinse. full of water. Water… I actually saw WATER IN the washing machine in the wash and rinse. my washer at home used none. almost none. I may never get a new machine!!! just go there.
Overall a much more pleasant experance than I had anticipated considering the last laundry mat I was in was 16 years ago. it’s a great place with modern eminatys. Go there do not hesitate.

My first review. This place is awesome. The owner really cares about the quality of the laundromat experience. He is enthusiastic about his business. As a newcomer to laundromats, I was grateful for his assistance. I went to a free-​drier place a few days ago. After washing at that place, my clothes were ridiculously scented from the residue in their washers. At Lighthouse, he cleans the washers every night, so his washers got rid of the problem from the other place.

My washing machine broke so I searched for a laundromat. This facility impressed me because it is very clean and there were actually two people there. One person, a man, I assume was the owner. Since I am new to using a laundry mat, he patiently explained the different types of machines. There was an attendant who was circulating and constantly cleaning up. I tried the only laundry mat in Yorba Linda and there was a man who would not leave me alone. Having an attendant there was a comfort for me. Also, it was easy to refill a cash card that was used for the machines. It was much better than a pocket filled with quarters.

Too bad I don’t live close to Lighthouse Laundromat. this place is flawless!..
I found this place after searching for Laundromats– although I live walking distance away from one. Lighthouse Laundromat has raving reviews!.. I think I know why!
Lets being with the location. it’s a bit hidden and more in the industrial/​residential side of Orange but not difficult to find.
The location has a private parking lot with a entrance in the rear making it easy to haul your dirty clothes in n’out…
The inside of this place is very clean and well maintained by the owners unlike many other laundromats that tend to be extremely dirty.(hints why we came here)
The machines are HUGE making it easy to wash & dry loads for a fair price without separating your clothes into a million piles!.. Being that the machines are capable of handling big loads, this makes this laundromat a hot spot to wash your blankets and comforters!
***FYI: The machines are NOT coin operated***- rather, they use a reloadable card that needs to be purchased first for a dollar. From there you load money onto the card and use that as your form of payment.
To simplify things. It’s very clean, the machines are well maintained, the cost is average and they have a small little store to buy some goodies while you wait for your clothes!
P. S. if you place $ 20 on your wash card, the owner will give you an extra $ 3 on your card.!!

My first time there. Was looking for a laundromat to wash some bedding. First impressions was that parking could be limited. We were there on Saturday evening and didn’t have a problem but I could see if it got busy parking would be limited, The washing machines and the dryers were in large, great condition and appeared relatively new. The attendant was very helpful and showed us the machines worked… thank God, because we would be totally lost. You have to purchase cash cards from the attendant that both machines accepts. The negatives is that the place is a little rundown and in an industrial part of town. The laundromat sells candies and snacks but there is no place to go for coffee while waiting for your clothes.
They do offer a service to have your clothes laundered and folded if you don’t have the time to jclean your stuff.

Came here because of the reviews. Great place to go! Met Gus the owner and he welcomed me and showed me what machines would work best with my huge loads of laundry. Very clean and had plenty of entertainment to keep yourself occupied. If you like street fighter the arcade game… they got that too! Brought me to my childhood years… I was done without the time dragging! Will go back again and use their and try their fluff and fold service!

I forgot how much I liked this place. It is very clean, they always have an attendant on duty, and their washers are always services. I have tried many places where I felt like I had to fight for a washer but never at this place. The washers are more expensive than some places but I feel my money is going toward something worthwhile because the washers are always maintained.

Very clean. Staff very helpful. I have been to some laundry mats that you feel like you never want to go back. I would happily return when I need to go to a laundry mat again.

What a great place to do your laundry! As our washer was broken, we needed to use a laundry mat in the Orange area and noticed the positive reviews on Unilocal and decided to try it.
Gus the manager was so helpful. The laundry mat is so clean and organized. All the washers and dryers look new and are very efficient and easy to use.
There is a nice patio where you can sit while you are waiting for your clothes to finish and also nice toys for children to play with. If you get hungry, there is a little snack stand to buy snacks.

I have been doing my laundry here on a regular basis since March and I love it. It is affordable and most importantly, clean. The machines are well kept and it is reasonably priced. For every $ 20 you spend you get $ 3 added on which is awesome. Also, Gus the owner is great and so is his staff. Everyone is very welcoming and very helpful! I am very pleased with their services. Lastly, parking is the very convenient and I’m not sure why someone complained about that. They have a parking lot in the back that is only you used by this laundry mat.

The first time I came here it was the girl that did my business and she charged me with what it was per pound which was $ 1. So I paid around $ 16 – 18 probably. Dropped it off around 8 AM picked it up with you 1 PM. No questions asked.
The second time it was with you that’s when you wrote down softener when I didn’t ask for it at all. I was charged around $ 20.
The third time was when you charged me the «tax» that I wasn’t charged in the transactions before. That’s when I knew I wasn’t happy anymore.
As for the calls you’re saying, I remember only receiving 2 calls from the girl working with you. The first time was when I was new to your business and the second time was with her also. I don’t remember getting any calls from you at all and I have really good memory. The only time I heard your voice on the phone was when I called YOU to let you know I’ll be picking it up tomorrow because I get out of work at midnight. You specifically said «Yes, okay, no problem» No storage fees were mentioned still.
Please don’t tell me I am not fair in writing a review because I rarely even have the time to sit down and type this and I make time if I’m happy or not happy with the business to help improve it. Don’t worry, no need to email the receipts because I have it on file here too. Don’t worry about my business with Lighthouse, I’m just one person I’m sure a lot of people are pleased with your place. Thank you for responding.

So I stopped in here after seeing reviews for dry cleaning as its around the corner from my office. Apparently they do a good job on dry cleaning but do not clean, suits, suit coats, dresses, and any number of other items that would normally get dry cleaned… *SMH*
Pro Tip: This is just a launderland to self wash your stuff… don’t come here for dry cleaning as they wont dry clean hardly anything that you bring in to them =\
Parking is a royal pain as well. You are unable to park on the street and literally ¹⁄₃ of their parking is marked as handicapped. So be ready to have some issues if you brought the car… This makes total sense when you are going to do your laundry as its so light and no one brings more than one load at a time *rolls*eyes*
The office inside the laundromat has the manager in it and he seemed rather gruff and ornery. Not someone that I would entrust hardly anything to.
Overall I was not impressed with this place and definitely will avoid it in the future…

Sir, unlike your erroneous statement below, I did enter your facility. I found the dim, dank, dungeonesque environs to be a bit of a turnoff. Perhaps it was due to it being a bright day outside and your facility is poorly lit with the fluorescent glow of aged tube lighting. Please see the linked photo for reference:
I would invite anyone to look at the photos that you have had posted of your facility and not draw the same conclusion. Let alone the «caution» wet floor signs and the deep shadows in the apparently «well lit» areas. However there appeared to be embedded dirt in the flooring in areas when I did visit your facility. Perhaps your cleaning crew was planning on coming in the next day. This is not something that I would be proud of.
Furthermore, if parking was allowed in the back, it may have been helpful to HAVE a SIGN showing that. It appeared that the back lot was owned by another facility and wasn’t part of the «Laundromat». Perhaps such a small thing may help your business out dramatically. Normally I do not park in gated areas that are NOT CLEARLY marked with large signage showing that I can park in the gated area. Surprising isn’t it?
Now as to the subjective opinion that your manager seemed gruff and ornery, well that is the impression that I received. Wait you said I didn’t go in, so how would I have been able to get this impression? ohhh you think you got me. Well your libelous statement is damning. I could not have written the details that I did had I not even entered your facility and found the manager to query him about my questions.
Your attempt to mar my reputation through your ineffectual dismissal of my comments was foolhardy and has failed. Unfortunately for you, I have actually visited all of the places that I have reviewed and consequently relate my impression.
I will also now suggest that others AVOID your laundromat as well. Thanks for also making me want to drop you to a one star. However I will let my original rating stand.

This place is wonderful. It was easy to get in and get out.
They do not take coins but they do have the cards to load cash onto. This brings a different crowd of people. Which is nice.
They have a nice patio area to fold as well as hang out to pass the time.
Found our new go-​to location as our complex is tiny and only has one washer and dryer.

Friendly and Affordable!
It was my first time here, and usually that means I’m confused as a turkey when it rains, but a helpful staff member (Gus — maybe the owner, I didn’t ask. He seemed like he knew the place well and wanted everyone to have as wonderful a laundry experience as a responsible adult activity like that can be. Also, he’s great and full of stories!!) walked me through the process.
There is an ATM, if you bring a card and then you take your cash over to the laundry card machine and add dollars to the machine. $ 5 can cover wash and dry.
I felt at home here, although I’m visiting from far away.

Been here a few times now, clean machines and fairly priced. They use a card system, and when you load it with $ 20 you get $ 3 more, at least I think that’s the happs! My first card I got the $ 3 extra, then with a Unilocal check-​in I got $ 3 more on my next loading of $ 20 on the card.
They have a little store counter with all kinds of stuff, both for your clothes and for your stomach!
There has been this gentleman here the last couple of times that I came who is very helpful and very, very nice. Came here another time and there was a nice young girl who was also very helpful.
I think they do a drop and pick-​up service too, but I wouldn’t put anyone thru washing my not-​so-​tidy-​undies…
Come on by and wash a load or 8, they have machines to handle to all!

Bring CASH!!!
I am not a fan off laundry mats for many reasons but after doing my laundry at this location I may start becoming a regular. I had 8 loads of laundry that needed to be completed and instead of doing it at my apartment complex that only has 2 washer and drys –i decided to take it this this location based on the many positive reviews it had.
I absolutely loved this place! CLEAN machines, great customer services and such a larger location. They have a snack bar, TV, and free wifi for customers only. Also bring quarters as you will need it in order to use the restroom.
Gus was the employe or owner that helped me when I first walked in. He explained how the machines worked and showed me how to place money on the card. It seems like your able to drop off your clothes and have them wash them for you. I don’t know the price but seems like it would be nice when your in a rush or busy with life.
I would highly recommend this place for anyone in the area.

Not bad. Honestly it’s my first time going to a Laundromat! It’s very clean. There are different machines, 1 load size too loader for 2.00, 3 load washer for 2.75, 5 load washer for 4.75, 6 load washer for 6.50, 8 load for 8.50. I’m unsure of the real sizes since I usually have two loads worth and I just stuck it in the 5 load washer and it all fit ! Remember to look at the top right for the amount of soap you need if you’re not using the 1 load size.
Regular wash took 30 minute for the 5 load washer. There are two sizes for the dryer, one regular size for .25 per 9 minutes or a big one for .50 per 9 minutes. I opted to split my clothes and use the small dryers! Over all not a bad experience.
Also, I forgot to mention it cost a dollar to get a card so you can load money in. Then you’ll reinsert it in and add your bills in (1,5,10,20)! There’s also free wifi, it does look a little sketch when you pull in though. But it’s nice inside!
Edit: apparently it’s 10 pounds per load!
