KQVMFM is very active in the community. We promote new and unknown bands, support non-​profit events for good causes and participate in promotional give aways when its for worthy charity events.

History

Established in 2007.

KQVMFM has been in operation for almost 3 years now. Originally WQVM Radio in New York City, KQVMFM came about after I moved from New York to Los Angeles, California. I had the station WQVM Radio since the early 80’s, where we thought people had a right to listen to the best music without being bombarded with commercial brain washing, hence the inception of WQVM. Since beginning our West Coast project, we have had nothing but compliments about the station. I thought it was time to bring on talented DJ’s from across the country to enhance our format and listenership and have welcomed our family of new DJ’s with open arms. I hope you too will find KQVMFM to be a refreshing variety of music from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and today as well! Enjoy listening!

Expert & proficient in sound/​electronic equipment maintenance.

Solid skills in the repair and maintenance of microwave transmitters, closed circuit television, projection television and public address systems. Extensive experience in the maintenance and installation of studio systems and equipment experience in the design of patch boards and video systems. Background includes expert design of television MDS stations in the New York market, sound equipment maintenance.

Possess FCC license and electronics tech certification.

Presently accepting part-​time contracts for service.
