Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft

Love this store and their great associates. I saved a ton of money and aggravation when Maria at the cutting table corrected my measuring error on a large piece of yardage I brought into the store. She then collaborated with me to identify just the right complementary fabric to complete my project. The associate at the register cheerfully assisted me in signing up for their text rewards program. This was all near closing time on a Saturday night when everyone is tired. These two cheerful professionals sure didn’t show it.

I had an amazing experience at this Joann’s. Judy was extremely personable and understanding and helped me find exactly what I needed. Isabella helped me out as well. They were funny and just great people overall. Their input was insightful and very helpful. Their customer service was exceptional and I will definitely be coming back here again.

I’m a huge fan of arts and craft stores and I love Jo-Ann’s but this particular store was unorganized, small, and limited in selection. I was able to find a few things but overall the store was not that great compared to other Jo-Ann’s stores that I have been to. However, we did have a kind and polite cashier who let us use more than one coupon.

Lots of junk, fabric, art supplies, crafty things and holiday magic. I like to make things and JoAnnes has almost anything and everything to do it. Along with a coupon to buy it.
I decided to make one of those tie blankets, picked out my fabric, had them cut it then sent me on my way. Blanket was super easy to make. If your not crafty they have patterned fabric with pre drawn lines telling you where to cut.
Whenever I go, the store seems to be dead. Hardly ever any customers and little staff walking around.
Plenty of parking in their lot with easy access on and out to Tustin Ave.

This place has turned into a dump. Incredibly disorganized. Took 32 minutes in line to cut ¾ths of a yard of fabric on a Saturday afternoon. Then stood in line at the registers for another 17 minutes.

If people give this store more than 2 stars, they are lying.
My wife and I both craft, and Joann Fabric is our fabric purveyor choic… eeeexxxccccept for this dumpster fire of a store. Ritchie was today’s rude employee, watching us stand at the cut counter with our fussy 7 mo. old baby while she fiddled. When we asked if she was going to help us, we were made to wait for the non-​essential task she was doting on, then proceeded to greet us with attitude. Though this store is literally minutes from our home, we will be driving twice as far from now on, due to this location’s abhorrent customer service.
5 stars for the brand, –5 for the location. Do yourself a favor and don’t make the same mistake. Go elsewhere.

The store is cluttered and junky. They need to sweep and organize the shelves. They also need to train the cashiers, specifically Jessica. She has no sense of time management and customer service. I visited this store on 11÷16÷15 at 3:34pm, and waited in line 15 minutes while Jessica allowed a customer to transfer money on her phone (which was slow because the battery was low). Finally, another employee showed up to help with the line. Ridiculous.

Best staff, most stocked product, most discounts anywhere! They’re even accepting double coupons!
What I’ve learned from the staff here — always bring your phone and always go to the coupon link on their website. Tonight I was able to use a 40% off of one item AND a 20% off your total order coupon! I got everything I needed + a new glue gun for around $ 14.
You cannot beat their prices!
Many many shout outs to the ladies working tonight. I’m thinking they may have had some changes in staff over the last year because I’ve never seen these gals before and they were such a joy! From the cutting table to the cashier I never felt like a customer but more like a friend.
If they only sold more craft supplies I could avoid Michaels altogether! Shucks darn! :)

The service was very good, they were extremely polite! Justin and Matthew provided expert service for us, with Justin pointing us in the right direction of what we needed and Matthew cutting our fabric for us and taking his time with it as to not make any mistakes. Overall great customer service!

Unfortunately, I get to call JoAnn’s in Orange my local store. There are many things wrong here, but they all boil down to poor management.
First, the store is dirty and poorly stocked. It’s inevitable that I have to change my plans while shopping because the items I need will not be available. The fabric section is typically a mess, as is the floor, the restroom, and especially the cut table area. They never have supplies needed at the front register either. When my teacher discount card expired, I literally waited 20 minutes for someone to bring one from some mystery location in the back. Only three employees total were working and every single one was overwhelmed trying to help customers.
Secondly, the staff is stressed, slow, and clearly do not get along with each other very well. There are clearly not enough employees working at any given time. I’ve been in on various days and evenings, and when I’ve had the misfortune of shopping during one of the managers’ shifts, it’s clear that the toxicity is coming from the top. Poor attitudes and lack of concern for employees and customers alike is hard to miss and makes for an uncomfortable shopping experience.
Finally, I want to say that it’s just too bad. These issues could all be resolved by a management team that actually nurtures their employees and staffs their store well enough such that workers actually have the time to keep the store clean, the fabric organized, the registers stocked, and stress levels reasonable. The ONLY reason I shop here is because it’s close to home. From now on, I plan on shopping at the Fullerton store. At least it’s clean and the employees are clearly better taken care of.

I came into the store to buy supplies for a Halloween costume. There were sale signs everywhere. When they rang me up, nothing was on sale! Why? They had expired sale signs posted! While they honored the old pricing, we wasted a good 15 minutes of our time at the register. When I got home, I realized that they double charged me for some items. I called the store to see if they could adjust it over the phone. Wishful thinking, right? Of course, they couldn’t, and they want me to bring EVERYTHING I purchased today back to the store, to get my $ 15 adjustment. With a full time job, and a newborn baby, it’s hard for me to take time out of my busy day as it is to get to this store once… let alone TWICE because of their errors.

This joannes is run by a bunch of grumpy old hags. Their tired and bored of working, period. Hence, the poor customer service and tore up looking store. Hire some younger energetic people and clean up your act!

Very poor customer service at this location. Why is there only one person cutting fabric on a busy Sunday? Had a fabric return and couldn’t take that to the front registers. They wanted me to wait with all the people who needed fabric cut. Makes no sense!

Unhelpful, horrible and rude management!

I went into the store on Saturday the staff was rude I asked where the no sew kits wore on of the staff pointed to the back wall and the kits r up on the top how r u sopse to see what they have if there r up high and not with eye level the had some on Clarence But nothing I liked. Tried to ask to see some and one of the lady’s growled and gave me a dirty look. Went home to call and they don’t answer all the phone does is ring no one answer. I will not be back for know on i am going to hobby lobby a least they r nice un like JoAnn’s

I am utterly in shock of how rude the management is here. Judy is the most unprofessional and rude manager I have ever encountered — and that’s saying a lot! I attempted to exchange some products that never worked correctly for the exact same product, but in working order. As usual, Judy stuck her nose into my transaction and refused to help me with an exchange. She told me I could not return used merchandise, even though it was defective. The last time I was in here, I attempted to return some fabric, but because I bought it at another store, she refused to let me return it there.
To make matters worse, when I walked in the store, Judy was gossiping loudly with another employee about another customer. «No, the customer is NOT always right!» was one of the first things I heard, along with subsequent exclamations of, «She was rude!» and other incriminating details about the woman they were discussing. As a customer, this is not okay. I refuse to go to this store again until this woman is fired. She has been rude every time I have shopped here in the last year, but the humiliation she put me through by ridiculing my problem and sending me away without assistance was the last straw.

It’s obvious the employee don’t like working here! The store is messy, unorganized, and dirty. I was one of the very few customers there and waited 10 minutes before I got any help. While I was waiting, the employees were busy putting things away, adding trash bags, talking negatively about customers. I get it when people have bad days but this was 9am! I will avoid shopping at this location.

Staff will not let me use a competitors coupon via phone. She said only paper coupons allowed. She spoke loudly and told all the cashiers to not take competitors coupon w/​o the actually coupon. Waste my time driving here and it was not honored. Very unprofessional.
I emailed Joann’s headquarters from their online website and they responded that they do honor competitors coupons via phone. So please know your policy.

I am not the crafty type, however, I’ve been frequenting Joann’s more these past few months than I have in my life due to my new venture in sewing. Its easy to get lost when you have no idea what you’re looking for but after a few visits the aisles become a bit more familiar.
It could be the times I’ve been in this store but the store seems to be in chaos and messy, but like I said it could just be the time of day.
Everyone, I’ve ever encountered here has been friendly and answered all my questions if I ever have any. They carry anything craft related that you can think of and then some, its easy to just go from aisle to aisle to see what they have.

I dont frequent Jo-​Anns that often, but hosting an annual Halloween party every year has me in here. For costume stuff or maybe some white sheets to throw over the furniture for a eerie look and feel to the house. I always great helpful service.
Last time I was in here the lady was so helpful. I dont know anything about sewing or crafts but man she went out of her way to make sure I had the stuff I needed and that I was getting it at the cheapest price.
It can get pretty busy in here around certain times of the year so be careful. Sometimes you can get a long wait to get your fabric cut. Just keep that in mind and if you dont know just ask. I find they are helpful here most of the time! CHEERS!!!
