Service price gouging.
I would consider buying a different bike if this is the closest BMW store. Kawasaki/​Aprilia/​Ducati/​Yamaha all have bikes just as good as BMW but they won’t gouge you when getting serviced.

My side pannier opened about 50 miles into my 61 mile rush hour commute I make each way and I found out when I turned the bike and heard the scraping. Thank God I did not have anything in the pannier at the time. I drove over to IRV Seaver and shared my story with Jeff Ottinger who told me that it looked like the rope and metal piece got caught in the pannier which is why it opened after extended driving over the rumble strips on the way home. I asked him if he would please look into this for me and that was over three months ago. I called and left messages every few weeks with no response. I finally had to leave a message for the manager who then had Jeff call me back and tell me there is nothing he could do to help me. I really like this dealership and especially Harley from the service department so it pains me to leave this review but it’s the honest truth of what happened. In the end BMW decided not to help me on honor this warranty claim for my 2013 bike and Jeff Ottinger did nothing to communicate this to me after many repeated attempts until the general manager had to get involved.
Feb 5^th, 2016 update Called JEFF in service yesterday and asked for some paperwork on a warranty he was trying to get me back in Aug of last year. He told me he lost it, then he told me he shredded it. I asked for a copy of some of the emails correspondence and he said he deleted it. I asked to be sent to the GM David and he said he would not do it and he owes me nothing and hung up on me. Called David who never returned my call. Impressive dealership you have there.

PARTS: I can’t believe these guys quoted me $ 155 for a battery that I paid $ 117 on amazon, AND got delivered free in one day thanks to Amazon Prime. The Yuasa YTZ10S didn’t come with the BMW logo on it, but I have several gas tanks worth of cash now. That’ll come in when I do the oil change since I use full synthetic. I mention that because I’m at the point in my life where I’ve always done everything myself but want to have someone else do it for a reasonable price. What is not reasonable is paying $ 40 more for a BMW logo, which is what my OEM battery had. The kicker? Cyclegear could have sold it to me for less but I didn’t want to drive there.
SERVICE: I can say the same since I’ve called several times for quotes for oil changes. They’re just absurd-​high on price.
Sales: It’s a dealership.

I took my 2015 R1200R in for it’s one year/​12k service a few days ago. I bought the bike here from Kevin in Jan 2015. This is a great shop with great people. In addition to the 12k service I had new tires mounted. After I asked them to check the tires out, they told me they had a bit more life in them. I said «change ‘em.» Very happy with this shop and every time I go in it’s a pleasure. No hard sell, no up sell, no attitude. Problem after this last visit is I’m itching to buy my bike a brother to keep him company.

After I totaled my bike, I called almost every dealership within 100 miles of my house and talked pricing. Few dealerships still had 2015 S1000RRs, but lucky for me Irv Seaver had the exact bike I wanted. Not only were they the only dealership with that kind of bike, but they didn’t jack up the prices just because it was the only one in the area. In fact, I got the best deal I’ve ever gotten on a bike (my last bike was a 2014 S1000RR) and when you throw in the great salesman, Kevin, I am confident describing Irv Seaver as the best BMW dealership I’ve been to. Kevin has a great sense of humor and great customer service, and made me feel sure of my purchase before I even went into the dealership. I also want to rave about Edwina, the apparel manager. She is an amazing woman, and it was great seeing another woman who loves bikes and isn’t just there to attract other woman riders. She does a great job listening to customers needs and can get you whatever gear you need. If we are being honest, I went to New Century before this and, well, Irv just stole their customer. Great people, a nice environment, and amazing deals keep customers coming back!

I’m a foreign national and I wasn’t familiar with the process of buying a motorcycle in the US. Kevin Foster guided me through the entire procedure. It was Dec 31 and the dealership closed early for New Year’s. But Kevin waited for me and even after selling me the motorcycle, he stayed back and helped me pick the right gear and also spent some time helping me get adjusted with the motorcycle and its controls. He didn’t rush things and was very patient even though he didn’t have to. Evan was very pleasant and friendly too. Both of them offered me various tips and advices and they’re very knowledgeable and highly skilled. Great staff, great bikes, ¹⁰⁄₁₀ will go again. Actually I did go back just to say hi to them. That itself shows how good they are :)

All the people that work here that I’ve talked to have been very friendly and knowledgeable with their products and services, that’s why I chose to purchase my 2015 BMW S1000RR here.

I bought my bmw adventure a few years ago! the only think I don’t like is the customer service from the guy with long hair at the front desk. He is rude and he shows how much he hate his job but I give this place 5 stars because the rest of the employees and super nice and their bikes are the best in the market.
They also gave me a bike for a test ride and they offered me to ride all the time I want!!! awesome!!! Of course I bought the motorcycle.
bmw has the top technology in the world and that is the reason why they are leaders in this industry.
The show room is awesome with the latest bikes and great service.
I totally recommend it!

A great dealership filled with truly great people!
I’ve now bought 3 bikes from them going back to 2002 to my most recent purchase just a few weeks ago.
Devon is a great guy, did exactly what he said he would do with the deal and made the entire process the most seamless in and out deal I’ve ever done– 30 mins max!
Have been back for the 600 mile service, dropped the bike off, got a loaner and a few hours later my bike was done and ready for pick up.
Service dept was fast and super easy to deal with, thanks Jeff and Harley.
I would recommend Irv Seaver BMW to anyone. Go talk to Devon in sales, he will take care of you.

It’s difficult to know how a place really is until there’s a problem.
I’ve been going to Irv’s since I moved to Orange County in 2012. I ride my R1200GS over 10,000 miles a year.
Now, I went a long time with absolutely phenomenal service. I have always been happy and enjoy my infrequent visits there very much. Over time I have met everyone, know almost all the staff by name, and it’s been a wonderful at just that level. Jeff and Harly in service have jumped through hoops to work with my extended warranty and get me what was covered, making it no effort for me. Edwina, Jim, and Shawn are always there to help find what you need. In multiple situations they have each helped me by taking what I think I want and asking the questions to present me with options. Sometimes it’s what I wanted, but other times it has led to less expensive offerings that did the same (or better) thing that I didn’t know about.
Additionally, everyone from Kevin to David, Bo, Dustin, and the rest of the gang have taken the time to learn who I am and provide exceptional service and that feeling of being your friends down at the shop. Evan runs such a great place, that alone drives me towards BMW motorcycles.
My bike was in an accident several years ago, which was made to be like new by the team. It’s also needed minor parts and standard service, which have kept my GS with 60,000+ miles on it feeling like the day I drove it new out of the shop. If they didn’t do such a great job, I’d likely have needed to buy a new one!
This above is enough to warrant a 5+ star review. However, the reality of any service relationship is what happens when something goes wrong. It was unfortunate, but I recently did experience an issue. Nothing was intentional and it did have to get towed back into the shop for repair. It was not an easy fix. The long story short, after diagnosis and evaluating the issue, the shop showed their true (wonderful) colors. The integrity of Irv Seaver’s is second to none. Although the situation could have gone so many different directions, they took complete ownership of the issue and repaired the bike to a state that was better than before. While my bike was out of commission, they made sure I had something to enjoy and even provided a bike for a road trip I had previously planned (a camping ride to Yosemite over the 4^th of July… which had to be booked 6 months in advance and could not be easily changed). My wife and I were looking forward to the ride and they made sure we had an awesome RT for the ride.
I got a little worried in the repair process, all the bad things that could happen went through my head. At the end of the experience, I realized, there can’t be a better shop out there and my worries were completely unnecessary.
It’s now been several months since I got my bike back. It’s running perfectly and it’s already been several thousand miles! Evan, David, Jeff, Harly, Edwina, Jim, Shawn, Dustin, Bo, and everyone at Irv Seaver’s, I cannot thank you enough! THANK YOU so much, my bike is a huge part of my life and without you, it would not be nearly the same pleasure to own, maintain, and enjoy all that is BMW Motorcycles!
Time to ride, keep the shiny side up!

Top class dealership with great customer service. Very laid back and knowledgeable staff that let you browse with no pressure. Purchased my R Nine T about a month ago and I absolutely love it! I cross shopped around for a bit at several different BMW Motorrad stores and a Ducati store, but the deal that the fellas put together for me at Irv Seaver was by far the best one. It’s no surprise that they are one of the top selling stores in the country. My picture even made their Facebook page :)

Don’t try to maintain your own bike or complain about an issue, you will be the reason the bike has an issue. The fact that you may be a mechanic a seasoned rider does not matter. They have strange tactics on handling customers complaints if your brakes wear out prematurely or your engine is noisy it must be the way you ride or it’s the fact you change your oil and used the wrong oil and God forbid you bought something from an aftermarket company.
I bought my very first bike a Suzuki from irv seaver in 1972 and because of the way I have been treated after buying a 2014 GS a bike I love to ride which I do everyday it will be the last one I buy from IRV SEAVER.
Don’t believe all the great reviews but if you do go ahead take your hard earned money to them that’s what they love… not the customer.

Mechanics do not know how to read specifications properly.
My tire pressures were over-​filled by several PSI because the mechanic did not know how to read a specification with a decimal point in it.
When I discussed the issue with the service department, they were quick to tell me that I was wrong! They did not take this issue seriously at all.
I would not trust Irv Seaver to work on my bike in the future. They need better training for their mechanics.

I stopped into this dealership while vacationing in SoCal 2 years ago. I just happened to notice it while driving by and decided to stop in to gather information on the K1600GTL Exclusive. I was met by Kevin Foster who was amazing. I told Kevin that I was on vacation from MN and that I wasn’t quite ready to buy but this didn’t stop him from spending an hour with me giving me all kinds of information on the bike. He pointed out a lot of things I wasn’t aware of and even provided some information on the other bike I was considering (Honda Gold Wing) that I didn’t know yet either. I just purchased my K16 Exclusive in MN last month but wanted to take the time to write this review because of how great Kevin was. I visited 3 Honda dealerships in SoCal after I talked to Kevin and I couldn’t get a single person to assist me at any of them. Thanks Kevin! Go BMW!!!

Boyfriend bought a bike here in November. Received incredible service from Devin. He loves his bike! He was so happy he brought his co-​worker back today and he bought one on the spot. Nice people, no pressure. The bikes sell themselves!

Upon having a bad experience over at Riverside, I quickly turned to these guys at Irv Seaver. I was informed by Devin Strange that the bike, completely fully loaded with all the bells and whistles was on its way from Germany.
When the bike finally arrived, I eagerly went over to pick it up, but was shocked to see the amount of foot traffic the establishment had on this Saturday morning. Although everyone was very busy, especially Devin, I was approached by various friendly employees trying to make my stay more pleasant. Some of these employees, including Brian, David and Kevin, helped me pass the time by engaging me in conversation.
When it was my turn to be seen, Devin Strange went out of his way to try to get me the best deal that he could, working with what little margins he had. I didn’t feel pressured, insulted or cheated upon dealing with him. He was very down to earth and was more concerned about having me as a lifetime customer rather than a stranger who he could squeeze as much money out of. Devin worked all day, not even taking a break for lunch, all while having a great attitude and an eagerness to see another happy customer with a new toy!
I had a great experience and I recommend anyone looking for a bike to stop by Irv Seaver and see if they can put a giant smile on your face!

Irv Seaver BMW is the best, a modern yet ‘folksy’ BMW dealership that truly works hard to achieve sincere customer satisfaction. I called there looking for a new RT and spoke with Devin who described a used 2015 RT that had just become available. Although I live in the SF Bay Area with three local BMW motorcycle dealerships, it was well worth the flight to Orange County and meet Devin and the rest of the ‘Bell family’ to include Edwina. I have never purchased a new BMW directly from a BMW dealership and had never planned to, however this just seemed ‘right’. Devin was extremely thorough and ensured my RT was prepped properly with all the paperwork letter perfect with no bad surprises. Mr. Bell gave me a personal tour of his special collection of vintage BMWs along with his very knowledgeable and personable son.
I also watched another salesperson work with a newcomer to motorcycling in an informative yet personal manner. In summary, I will be doing business with Irv Seaver again and trust the BMW organization realizes the pearl they have in the Irv Seaver dealership and use them as an example for others.
The future of BMW motorcycling is in excellent hands with the outstanding staff at Irv Seaver in Orange!

Twice I have purchased a bike here, and twice I have had a quick, and painless experience.
Kevin is fantastic, and very patient. He sold me my first bike (a rare 2004 BMW F650CS) back in April, and by total coincidence, they had the used replacement bike I wanted as well last week.
On the second trip, we worked passed closing, and Kevin and crew were super patient and accommodating getting all of the paperwork done.
I highly recommend the whole crew here. Awesome job guys!

Love Irv Seavers BMW before and LOVE them even more since we met Edwina, Apparel Manager. she was so helpful in assisting us to our recent purchases. We came in on our Honda bikes and made to feel so welcomed (we also have a BMW bike). she sure knows her stuff!

This is our second home.
My boyfriend and I both got BMW bikes shipped from Florida in February and Irv has been our go-​to place for anything and everything. It’s also turned into a hangout for us if we don’t have anything important to do.
Highly recommended.
