Gilbeaux’s Towing

DO NOT USE THESE SCUMBAGS! My son was in a horrific 3 car wreck only liability with towing on the car. police called gilbeaux to the wreck site they towed the car while my son was rushed to the hospital. when my husband went to collect our belongings out of our car he was told it would be 150 dollars to retrieve the property that was ours. gilbeaux assumed because we only had liability that he would not be paid for towing and therefore was going to charge us to retrieve our own personal property. We was also told that the speakerbox and amp that took up the whole back seat could not be taken because we were devalueing the car ‚(a car that I owned) and if they were attached to the car we could not
husband got upset and cussed out the guy at gilbeaux because he was trying to sell me MY property thinking he would not be paid for the tow bill. Gilbeaux then filed charges against my husband for cursing them out, we had to go to court to try to fight this but apparently there is a law against public cursing somebody out so we did pay a fine. We received the letter in mail that we had so many days to get our property out of the car, my husband went back only to be told it would be 1000 dollars to retrieve anything out of the car again still our
husband left ands all I can say is I hope they choke on everything in that car as they try to sell it and everything in it especially that huge speaker box and speaker with amp that they have basically stolen from us. That’s how they get parts for the selling and screw people. if you have a choice to go elsewhere and not use them please do. I have never been so disappointed in somebody that would take advantage of somebody in their time of need in my life. lesson learned if you have something you care about do not leave or keep in car because if you are in a wreck and they call gilbeaux you can count your property stolen and gone. Oh and all my keys to other vehicles and my house keys I was not allowed to retrieve.
