Dinh’s Pass or Don’t Pay Smog Check

In and out in less than 10 minutes. $ 40 cash and done. It really was that simple. No more dynamometer test for cars later than MY2000 sure makes the process easy. This is my second time here and neither time have I had to wait.

The smog check place is awesome. Quick. Inexpensive. I highly recommend. The place is a little hard to find. It’s in the back.

Great service, in and out of there in less than 10 minutes! No gimmicks, just straight forward service and the gentleman who took care of my car was very polite and pleasant to do business with. Will be taking my car here from now on when needed!

Like the almost 200 reviews already on Dinh’s Pass or Don’t Pay, this place is tops. I needed a quick smog check and my husband had found Dinh’s on Unilocal — took his car in and was impressed by the efficiency and cost.
I decided to stop by and take my car in as well and it did not disappoint! I highly recommend taking your car here if you’re ever in need of a smog check. He takes cash or credit and it is written directly on the wall.

Seriously how to you review a smog check station?! It’s just a smog check after all? Nope — this place is fast, friendly, professional and has great prices! So happy I looked them up.

Took Wife’s car here a year and a half ago. Went again today.
This is STILL by far the best Smog Check station in the area.
If you pass, it is $ 40 — cash and $ 42 — credit card. There’s no gimmicks, BS, ripping people off/​deceiving them, etc.
The smog check takes less than 10 minutes. While Dinh is Asian, he speaks great english and is very kind and friendly (as is his family who is sometimes there). He will actually walk out to you to greet you. For the test, If you fail, he will give you the exact codes and what is wrong so you can take your car to a mechanic/​shop and get it fixed without getting ripped off/​cheated.
The station/​location is a slightly ghetto (ghetto in that it is dirty and small BUT there is nothing shady and nothing dishonest about the location). He has chairs and couches to sit down on.
If you like bacon (and who doesn’t), you’ll like taking your car here to get the smog check

Finding a smog place that offers good prices and fast service are very hard to find. I came to this smog location based on 5 stars on Unilocal and wasn’t disappointed. $ 40 and 10mins later, my 2000 bmw 740i model had passed. Very happy. Will come back again.

The best! Legit, no bs Smog Check.
I came in and didn’t pass, he told me exactly what the problem was so I could get it fixed and gave me the code so I wouldn’t get ripped off.
Came back after and got retested and passed
Was in and out both times in less than 15 – 20 minutes.
Prices are posted and are exact. It is a little more if you pay with your card.

Fast smog check. Plugged in to my obdii connector, and 15 minutes later I was out. It’s $ 42 with a credit card cause the credit card company charges a lot to vendors. $ 40 cash. Really nice guy. Best part was no wait. I went in on a Saturday at about 11 and got in right away. Please patronize businesses like this one and not the corporate scum sucking jerks.
Highly recommend and will be going back 2 years from now.

Brought my sister’s car here for a smog check on the day her car registration was due. (You can pay online and DMV gives your two weeks to complete smog check)
So easy. It’s like Dinh advertises, pass or don’t pay. Luckily the car passed and it was an even $ 40 (for cars 2000 or newer, $ 50 1999 or older) which includes the certificate.
I was in and out of his shop in 15 minutes. Definitely fast and friendly service.
