Tran saved my dress! I was the unfortunate bride whose dress was too small for me. So just imagine the stress and anxiety I had one month prior to the big day — looking not only for my couture dress to be altered, but to be resized! I knew Tran was the go-​to person with all the detailed questions she asked even before she agreed to take me on as a customer. I was elated when she agreed to help me on such short notice!
She let out my dress and added a corset. The corset was beautiful, especially with the square knots. She spent an entire hour with my sister teaching her to how tie the corset perfectly for the big day. She put in nice breast cups so that I didn’t have to wear a bra. She made a rhinestone sash because I needed some bling. She also made a bolero for me to cover up for the church ceremony. And the 5-​point bustle for the reception was gorgeous.
Each appointment was about an hour or so. But I even stayed for two hours once or twice — and I did not mind one bit! I knew Tran had an eye for detail, that she was a perfectionist. Tran is a designer by trade so she has an eye for what looks good too.
Oh and on top of that, Tran is so personable and kind. She is easy to talk to and makes you feel totally comfortable.
So in the end, Tran resized and altered by fit-​and-​flare dress to an exquisite fit on my body, to give me an hourglass figure that I don’t even have! I’m truly grateful for her expertise and skills. Because of her, I fell in love with my dress and truly felt beautiful in it.

I can not say enough about Tran. Not only is she the sweetest lady, but truly knows what she’s doing when it comes to wedding gowns. I am probably the pickiest, most detailed person when it comes to my wedding gown. I want it to be PERFECT. I found Tran a few months ago and decided to meet with her because of all her positive reviews. We are in the beginning process of tailoring my dress. So far I can’t believe the work she has done, just in the first fitting. I am so so excited to see the final product for my wedding in June! I will post my feedback about my final fitting once my dress is complete. I have total and complete confidence in Tran which has lowered my stress through this whole wedding process. Everything can go wrong at my wedding and ill be okay… but not having the perfect dress with the perfect fit… that’s the scariest part. So glad I found Tran!!!

Tran Pham was wonderful to work with. She really listened to my needs and wants. She took the time to get to know me so she could best suit my needs. She knew exactly what to do to fix anything that was wrong. I love how she did everything she could to make the dress perfect and up to her standards. She was worth every penny. Tran came with excellent Unilocal reviews. Everything she does is efficient and lovely. From text message reminders about the appointments to encouraging to bring in examples of what you wanted changed on the wedding dress, she is as professional as they come.
Upon our initial meeting, she was on time and listened to my ideas. And because she has been in this niche for more than 20 years, she would input her experienced comments making me see if the changes I wanted could be done as I wanted or in a different way, the convenience for me and the fees. This is a paperless company and I was glad she even cares about these details.
I brought my gown and showed pictures and she created a budget on the first day. The agreement is made so nothing is a surprise at the end. We also scheduled 3 fittings in our calendars. When my scheduled changed, she was flexible in accommodating dates.
She doesn’t measure you and send you on your way before you go back to receive the dress. Tran was so detailed (to the point where extra tailoring sessions were added) that I felt better about the dress each time I saw it. And let me say I went to her about a month and a half before the wedding day. Very fast and elegant work.
The dress was cut from both sides of the waist several inches, cups were added, a waist sash sew in a cascade back hidden behind the closing buttons, material at the ends of the dress added so the dress would flow, the length modified on all sides and a hidden bustle incorporated. she did all these modifications for a very reasonable price.
Once again, Tran is all about details. She recommended a length of the dress based on the shoes I would wear, gave jewelry recommendations that would suit my dress, gave so much information on why she recommended certain alterations not be done and how to better the proposed ones that you know she truly cares about how her work is presented. She even recommended a better fabric for the sash I originally wanted and that made all the difference.
The completed dress received so many compliments and compared to the original, the finished product looked like it was made to suit my body.
5 stars does not do it for Tran. I felt like a princess in her super comfortable and beautiful creation.

I don’t even know where to begin? It’s YOUR WEDDING GOWN! Once in a lifetime (for most of us) to look absolutely stunning on our wedding day. You can’t go cheap and have to find a seamstress who knows what she is doing. I saw that another Unilocaler on here had an amazing wedding gown and I couldn’t help to reach out to her. After a few messages I knew I had to get my dress tailored by Tran. She is amazing!!!
My dress came in a size 6 and I’m guessing I lost weight over 6 months because when my dress came it was loose. Tran said I could have gotten the dress one size down. With that said, you can imagine how much work had to be done. I had one month before the wedding to get all this done. I had both sides taken in, the hem taken higher, bustle for my train and cups added. I saw Tran at least once a week and she made sure that at every step she takes in the dress, you try it on right after to make sure it all fits perfectly. After about 5 appointments, my dress fits flawlessly, I can walk with confidence without worrying about stepping on my dress, and my boobs have never looked so good. Lol. She also managed to tailor my sash since I purchased a size large online for $ 100 (Bridal shops can run $ 300+) and she made it all fit.
She also gave a great recommendation on where to get my dress, sash and veil pressed. Though they didn’t starch the lace to make it stand. I was okay with the outcome.
I put ALL my trust in Tran and I couldn’t be happier. I don’t have photos right now, but will be back to post them!

Tran is a miracle worker! My wedding dress was rather difficult and very time consuming and she made it absolutely perfect. I am fairly petite so my dress needed a lot of alterations and of course the place where I bought it did not tell me how difficult the alterations would be for that particular dress– I had cascading ruffles which meant having to take every ruffle in. Thankfully, Tran worked with me and made it look and fit exactly how it was supposed to. She even customized the bustle to make it work. I also had a bridesmaid dress altered by her and she did a great job on it as well. I highly highly recommend Tran, she is the sweetest lady! Just a heads up, she takes her time and likes to err on the side of more appointments than less so make sure you give her an appropriate amount of time. She does not charge per appointment, only per alteration made!

Tran was incredible and she was truly an incredible person to work with. She really values her clients and because of her background in design, she can see things that not all other tailors can see. She was able to change my dress to fit me and made incredible suggestions that I didn’t even know were possible. She is an incredible woman with amazing talent and she is absolutely worth every penny.

She is very talented at looking at the dress and seeing what’s wrong with it. She recommends things to do to the dress to make it fit you like a glove. I took a dress to her about 5 weeks prior to my wedding, and it was completely done 2 days before the wedding. She is really sweet and nice. Her prices are on the higher side for altering a dress but I’m sure it’s because of the location of her store. It cost me just over $ 600 to alter my dress (I initially went in just because I wanted to shorten the dress and get it to fit better, as it was too big. But on her recommendation, I ended up putting in a bunch of other stuff and also getting the sweetheart neckline which I hated in the end). On my first fitting, she recommended that I go buy a bustier at a store down the street. I don’t know if she gets commission or not, but I purchased a pretty expensive bustier from that store and was told that she sends a lot of customers to that store. She made the dress so low in the end, that I could not wear the bustier that I purchased, which was a waste of money. She kept pushing me to get a sweetheart neckline, which I finally agreed to towards the end. But when she put in the sweetheart neckline, it made my dress super low, where I was almost popping out and I definitely couldn’t wear the bustier underneath because the bustier would be showing way more than the dress. Also she forgot that I wanted detachable padding in the chest because she sowed it directly to the dress. Overall, the dress came out nicely and fit well, except for my sweetheart neckline which I wished I had never gotten and it cost over $ 100 just for the sweetheart neckline. Also she schedules a lot of fittings, which I guess is good, but she seems forgetful sometimes because she kept going over the same things every fitting.

Wow. Tran is amazing! I don’t even know where to begin but to put it simply, she made my gown look like it was made for me. My wedding gown was beautiful and dramatic but when Tran added her personal touch… it became stunningly gorgeous. Thank you so much Tran! the bustle was perfection, loved it! My husband (then groom) came to Tran to have his suit altered and same thing… her work is unbelievably spot on. We DEFINITELY recommend her to anyone. She works fast and you wont have any regret :)

Tran is by far the best! She altered my wedding dress and did a wonderful job! She was so sweet and caring during the entire process. She worked with me on timing I had a few family issues and she was there me I can’t say enough how wonderful Tran is. My dress came out looking so beautiful! She really cares about her work and for the person she’s doing it for. I felt so comfortable and would use her for everything from now on.

Tran is a life saver. I had an unconventional wedding dress – simple but extremely delicate. She made it look like it was made for me. Even the bustle was a challenge, but she nailed it. She was so sweet throughout the entire process. She even walked me down a few stores to the dry cleaners when I came to pick up my dress so I could get it pressed. Anyone she recommends I trust. She told me she would «keep an eye» on it, which took off a little wedding stress, and even picked it up for me when it was ready.
Alteration skills aside, I really resect how this woman does business. There is a reason she has five star reviews on Unilocal.She works hard to maintain this high standard. I would recommend her to absolutely everyone.

I came to Tran with a sample dress I had purchased on sale from Glamour Closet. The dress fit pretty well and I thought just a hem and a bustle would make it a great wedding dress for me.
What she did with that dress was unbelievable! Her attention to detail and vast knowledge of material, style, and body type made my wedding gown fit LIKE A GLOVE! I thought my dress was beautiful before, but her careful insight into fit, bustle options, and the strapless sweetheart neckline turned my dream wedding gown into one that surpassed my dreams. I actually let go of my self critical nature and allowed myself to feel stunning– which was a priceless gift. No matter how much I laughed, cried, or danced the dress stayed in place and I never had to give it a second thought (which is such a blessing on a day with a million details and lots of nerves!) I honestly did not want to take it off!
I am so grateful that my mom found this place! We were always greeted with smile and nice conversation. Tran offered styling advice and wedding day tips. She let my mom and I cry while my dad fumbled around trying to take pics with my iPhone.
Tran is a genuine and caring individual and she creates a personalized and private experience. She even played show tunes for me when I came in after we discussed my theater background and how much I loved them!
Worth every penny! One of the best decisions I made for my wedding day– after, of course, my groom!

So, so happy with how my wedding dress turned out. I bought my dress as a sample and there were more alterations necessary than I thought, and I didn’t leave much time. However, Tran was able to complete all my alterations within a month, and she was so sweet I just loved working with her. While the alterations were certainly not cheap, considering the quality of the work she did it was absolutely worth it.

Tran is wonderful! She altered my wedding dress for me and did an amazing job. I had a very full ball gown with many layers of ruffles on the skirt and she shortened my dress, taking the time to make sure it didn’t impact the look of the dress. With all the layers, this really wasn’t an easy task. She added ruffles to the bottom to keep the integrity of the dress and you couldn’t even tell it had been shortened. Tran also added horsehair to the petticoat (something we hadn’t even thought of), which made it easier for me to walk. Also, my dress had a very long train and she bustled it perfectly. She even showed my mom how to bustle it (and lace me in) about 5 times to make sure she was totally clear and was very patient explaining it.
Tran was so helpful and kind and really was a perfectionist. After meeting with her and dropping off my dress, I felt 100% sure she would do an excellent job and she did! My dress was absolutely perfect for my wedding day and I can’t say enough good things about Tran and her work.

Tran was amazing! She is talented in what she does! She tailored my wedding dress and it was absolutely beautiful! I highly recommend Tran for your custom tailored dresses and wedding gowns! Tran tailored my wedding dress and the shorter reception dress and they both turned out absolutely beautiful. My first gown was a mermaid style that fell a little flat at the bottom, so she added crinoline underneath for fullness, and then a trim of horsehair to make the hem stiff and swingy when I walked. She did a french bustle for my dress as well, which was very hard to design since my dress had a long asymmetrical train. The icing on the cake was a gorgeous blush colored sash with crystal details and a full, fluffy bow on the back of the dress. I got so many compliments on that bow; it definitely made the dress!
My shorter dress was nothing special at first, to be honest, but then Tran added Austrian crystal trim to the neckline and then a large crystal detail at the waist that made my waist look super tiny. My mom said she ended up loving this dress more than the long gown.
The pricing here isn’t cheap, but the quality of work that Tran offers is worth the money. I’m glad that I didn’t go the budget route with my dress alterations and instead went with Tran, who spent so much painstaking time and care with my dresses (and with my mom and I during our many dress fittings!). On our last dress fitting, she gave me this beautiful letter with wedding advice rolled up and tied in tulle, and I felt like I was graduating from wedding dress fitting school! She’s just a lovely person and of course a talented tailor.

OMG. Tran of Designer Touch Group is seriously a lifesaver/​guardian angel/​amazing. I called Designer Touch Group to see if they could alter my wedding dress. I ended up talking to Tran who asked when I was getting married and I told her. um in less than 2 weeks and I am desperate. I was originally going to use a family friend but they had a family emergency and could no longer alter my dress. She said to me «Okay, let’s see what we can do. I had a cancellation at 1pm. can you come in?» I immediately said «Yes! Anytime works for me. I will come whenever you need me! Thank you thank you thank thank you!»
When I got to the store, she had me try on my dress to see what kind of work needed to get done. She came up with a game plan of what was needed. I needed bustles, cups sewn in, shorten the dress (which had 7 layers), and a new hook in the back.
We setup a schedule where I would come in 3 times in the next 1 ½ weeks to get fitted. On my final fitting. just wow. Her work was impeccable. My dress looked amazing! I was no longer tripping over my dress and I was able to move/​dance and walk around. I brought my MIL with me and Tran told her how easy it was to bustle my gown.
My wedding coordinator even commented on how my bustle was incredibly gorgeous and the easiest setup she had ever seen.
I will be recommending Designer Touch Group to all my friends. Their work is flawless, the prices are very reasonable, and most of all, Tran of Designer Touch Group was so understanding and accommodating of my unfortunate situation. Instead of turning me down, she was able to find a way to fit me in to her very busy schedule.

Came back for my final fitting and as always Tran was so amazingly sweet. She made me feel beautiful and confident in the bridesmaid dress. She added some additional boning for support and didn’t charge me and arm and a leg for it.

As promised, here is my updated review after the wedding. All I have to say is… AMAZING. My dress made me felt beautiful on my wedding day, I fit it like a glove and was comfortable in it ALL day. I was able to sit comfortably, danced and walked around to take so many pictures. I have never in my life felt so pretty in a dress or fit into something that was made just for me. I couldn’t thank Tran enough, really. It wouldn’t have been possible without her. Everyone complimented on how beautiful the dress was and how great the fit was.
Tran also custom designed my crystal sash and bow for me and it was icing on the cake. It made the dress complete. I LOVED the custom bow that clipped on the back. She took her time to make sure the bow was perfect, not too big, not too small.
There are not enough words to express my appreciation for the hours and hours of work Tran had put into my dress to make sure it was my dream dress. THANK YOU a MILLION, Tran… you are truly AMAZING.
p. s. The dry cleaner next door can press the dress after alternations for a great price, and afterwards they can dry clean and box it as well. Tran referred them, and I am grateful for that.
