When Brian arrived to check my pool, the water was murky with algae. He immediately told me that there was no excuse for my pool water to be in such poor condition. He asked for a chance to turn it around. Following his recommendation for some new equipment and a thorough cleaning, he brought my pool to sparkling, pristine condition in just a couple of days. Our fiberglass pool had lost its gel coat, so we decided to change to a pebble-​based pool bottom. We also really wanted a shallow area — a baja step — in our already small pool. In addition, our new tile had to match our existing stack stone.
Brian was very helpful in choosing a simply stunning tile. He suggested the pebble mixture we decided upon and absolutely love. He also designed a perfect, aesthetically pleasing baja step.
When I posted pictures of our new pool on Facebook, I got many comments saying that my backyard looked like a resort.
We used to hardly ever go in our pool. Now we go in it at least a few times a week. Even our previously water-​avoiding dog loves our new pool.

We recently had our pool built by a different company back in May 2015. And we already have a plaster issue in which case the plaster started turning lightest brown when it was first installed. We were told that it’s normal, but then as time passed by the brown/​black color started to spread. We were giving the run around by our Pool Contractor and their subcontractor saying that it’s a chemical alkaline issue but other company said it is a plaster issue. Brian was able to help me with the issue and with his advise to contact the contractor bond insurance to get some result. Brian was honest and professional, he gave us his honest opinion. My mother had Brian’s Pool Plastering come to the house because our pool heater was not working. There was actually nothing wrong with the heater and Brian’s showed my mother the issue. He didn’t even charge her for the service call. I really appreciate the integrity, honesty and professionalism shown by this company during their interaction with my mother. For this alone, I give them five stars and will not hesitate to recommend them to others.

We had 3 contractors bid on our pool remodel. 2 of the contractors came recommended by friends and we found Brian’s Pool Plastering on Unilocal.All our bids were within $ 1,000 of each other so we went with our gut and chose Brian because he was such a personable guy and very knowledgeable about pool remodels. I also want to point out that Brian was the only pool contractor who said he would NOT take the job if we were not getting it permitted (because we were adding a spa and re-​doing gas and electrical) and he didn’t want to risk losing his license over this.
We were challenging clients as my husband is an engineer and VERY picky about paver layout, grout lines, you name it. Brian always told us that he just wants us to be happy and always gave us great advice when it came to picking out lights, pavers, coping, heater, etc. My husband had given his workers a challenge with a complicated paver layout and after the first day my husband discovered that one section did not have the correct pattern (it took me forever to find it even though my husband was pointing it out to me). The next day I explained it to the workers and they saw the problem (one brick got laid incorrectly and that set off the incorrect pattern). They never questioned it and actually THANKED me for pointing it out saying that they were glad we caught this before they finished the entire deck. I was so shocked because I knew I was delivering bad news and they would have to re-​do ¹⁄₃ of yesterday’s work. I spoke to Brian that morning and his guys had already notified him and they were happy to fix the problem. To top things off, Brian gave us a bonus and had a guy (took him all day) carve a single paver into the skimmer cover and another paver for the auto-​fill cover. So our deck looks like perfection! Our next dilemma was when we were trying to decide on a pebble finish. Brian took me around to a few homes he had done and helped us come up with a custom pebble finish to get the perfect blue to match our tile and look like we were in a resort. We love the color!
I always think that businesses show their true colors when they return to a job after they have been paid to still make the customer happy. Our spillway from the spa into the pool was dripping over the stone around the spa. Brian sent over his guys to chip out the tile and build a brand new spillway that was further out. I asked the guys to build it way out but they explained to me that it is a safety issue and they didn’t want someone jumping off of the spa and into the pool and hitting their head on the spillway. I appreciated their expertise and they still were able to increase our spillway (at a safe distance) so it no longer splashes the stone face on the spa.
My husband and I couldn’t be happier with how our pool and deck turned out! Brian and his workers were top notch and I would highly recommend Brian’s Pool Plastering.

We are VERY pleased with the work Brian and his team did on our pool. Brian came out and clearly explained our options and the costs for each. We established a budget and Brian was able to meet our needs and exceed our expectations. There was a glitch with the wiring for the underwater light which Brian promptly corrected. Brian also added an additional return to make our pool more efficient (it was built in 1970). The work was done in a timely manner and we appreciate the effort that his staff made in keeping the debris cleaned up before leaving. I would definitely recommend Brian to friends, family and anyone considering a pool remodel.

I found Brian’s pool service by accident. I was walking my dog, when Robert came walking out of a neighbors gate. Robert is one of Brian’s workers. I asked him for a business card. I called Brian and it has been one of the best calls I ever made. I have some stubborn parts in my pool with algae growing, and Issac, who is now cleaning my pool, has kept the algae away. Oh I should also say that when Robert was servicing my pool he did an excellent job also. Back to Isaac, he even went into my pool to scrub off the stubborn algae. I felt bad for him having to get wet, but he didn’t mind. At least it was a hot day. Now I feel like my pool could be in magazines, because it is so crystal clean. I even saw one of Brian’s employees at my neighbors house and I told him my name and he knew exactly who I was. He said that he cleaned my filter one time. A few weeks later I saw him again and he still remembered me. To me that spoke volumes about the type of company Brian is running. I have suggested him to friends and I would suggest his business to anyone. He has a top notch company.

We had a pool heater issue our pool service company could not figure out and they pointed us to Brians Pool Plastering. Scott Hines, who obviously knows his equipment came out and did a thorough cleaning of our heater and fixed it within a day. We were able to enjoy the father’s day weekend with a heated pool and got a bill that was very reasonable. I gladly recommend this company and am really impressed with Scott.

I’m not sure if it was an off day for Brian. I had him come and take a look at our pool because we want it redone with pebble tech, new tile, and coping, etc.
When he arrived and explained what I want he was a little combative. My pool is from 1964 and needs an update. He suggested a «acid wash, kept telling me that if he adds two drains and cut the pool he won’t be able to match it. The coping he uses apparently won’t fit either. He said it’s to thick to have installed. I want my copper pipes removed. He came back three times about the copper piping. I finally said I’m fully aware of what needs to be done.
I explained to him that I’m moving my equipment. I have a guy that will do the gas line, electrical, etc. I feel he heard about 10% of what I asked for. Not to mention in his bid he has a 1 ½ inch gas line in the quote which I believe the unit calls for 2 inch. .
Oddly it was hard for me to keep my composure. Especially when he suggested I sell my new equipment and don’t install a heater !!! First Brian you never asked what the heater usage would be for. Btw it’s for cold winter days. You need to ask before you assume. He then told me to buy a new smaller pump? I’m not sure why the suggestions but I have to say you made me pretty upset by the time you left. By all of your glowing reviews I expected different. I won’t go into much more detail but needless to say I was/​am disappointed. Brian I’m from San Francisco and sold my property and have plenty of money to spend. You made me feel like I had non. As a business owner myself I would not treat new clients like you treated me. I’ve never written a negative review based on a bid but I can’t imagine actually working with Brian after this.

Brian and his crew, Scott and Diego, were the only ones of five pool companies that we interviewed who were genuinely compassionate and responsibly followed through with working with my special medical needs. Their pool service has been outstanding, and I am deeply grateful.

My pool was in desperate need of new plaster, after searching everywhere for Plastering companies I found Brian’s Pool Plastering in Unilocal and they had some great reviews so I decided to give them a call to see if they could come over and take a look at my pool, they were able to send somebody (Gilbert) the very next day and they let me know that I also needed to replace the tile and coping (which I didn’t mind because I had a leak in my pool that drained the water to the tile line so I was certain that changing the tile would fix it) but none of the less, after I heard that, I was picturing lots of money flying away from my pockets but to my surprise their quote for all that work was very reasonable so while I was at it I decided to also replace my old copper return line and add two return lines to my pool within a week my pool was drained, had the old plaster, coping and tile removed. The crew that did the work from start to finish was very friendly and professional. In another week my pools was looking brand new with new coping, new tile, new plaster and was full of water! They did such an amazing Job that I decided to have them service my pool on a weekly basis!
If you are considering doing anything to your pool do yourself a favor and Call Brian’s pool plastering first you will not be disappointed!

the gentleman that came to look at the job was Gilbert.
They were able to get the job started right away. This was a huge plus because the pool had already been drained. Our job was a pebble Tec job, & also mortar fill & deco seal replacement, there was some tile repair needed. Which they did very well. From the start of job to finish, this company was very professionally, the crew was tidy, & courteous.

We used Brian’s Pool Plastering to re-​plaster our 13 year old pool a few months ago. The quality of his work was amazing. We were very particular and took quite awhile to settle on a plaster color. Brian was patient with us and willing to supply us with as many addresses as needed. We were able to go see in person the different color options available along with the work her performs. Every house we went to assured us how happy they were with Brian’s work and how easy he was to work with. Now that we are finished, we can also confirm he is wonderful to work with, reasonably priced and quick on completing the job. We settled with mini pebble in aqua blue and added blue glass and abalone shell to the mix. It turned out just like we wanted… it’s absolutely beautiful. The job, start to finish was done much faster than we anticipated and we would highly recommend using his services. After the job was completed, we canceled out our old weekly pool service company and now Brian services our pool weekly. His service techs are friendly and they do a great job as well.

Our pool was 25 years old and in need of serious updating. After meeting several contractors and reviewing proposals Brian rose to the top. After signing our contract demolition started soon there after and The stone, tile & plaster followed quickly behind. The whole process went smoothly and we couldn’t have been happier with Brian and his team. Their attention to detail was impeccable and their openness to our suggestions was greatly appreciated. We had some changes and add ons that were incorporated seamlessly into the project without delays. Our pool’s 19×36 with a raised deck and spa along the length of one side. The raised face was done with stacked stone which came out beautifully. We have steps on both ends of the pool that were nicely finished with coping and stack stone between steps. The raised spa was wrapped with stacked stone and capped with 2ft. Wide coping. We inserted copper spill edges at the spill wells of the spa which added a nice detail. The pool was finished off with white plaster.
Simply a Beautiful pool that our family will continue to enjoy for years to come.

After 15 years it was time to get my pool re-​plastered. Not sure who to trust to do the job, I asked my neighbors and coworkers about their experiences when they re-​plastered their pools. Everyone I had spoken to DID NOT recommend the company they used (mostly big name companies) because of the problem (s) they encountered with either the workmanship, quality of the products used, or the extensive timeline to complete the job. Without any trustworthy recommendations, I turned to Unilocal and found Brian’s Pool Plastering. I based my decision on the high Unilocal reviews his company received. I had Brian come out and give me a quote for a minipebble finish (black pebbles accented by blue glass beads) after receiving three quotes from other companies. Brian’s quote was fair and he was able to start the job immediately.
I am happy to report the project was completed on time and was trouble free. Jose also refaced my rocks and did an outstanding job! I am impressed with Brian’s Pool Plastering will be recommending his services to all my friends and neighbors with confidence!

I called Brian about repairing my spa heater and timer. He was able to send someone out very quickly. He was really easy to work with. And the actual bill was less than he quoted me over the phone. There was a little mix up about how things worked, but I was not able to be home to meet them when they did the work. He sent someone back out and they were able to get everything working without costing me a fortune.
I’ve been really happy working with Brian and gave him my monthly service contract. He’s been doing a really good job keeping my spa sparkling clean, and I’m much happier than with my previous service.

The estimate he gave included everything, some other estimates try to nickel and dime you. I needed my pool replastered, new tile, coping and pool light. I also needed my equipment rewired as the old conduit was rotted away. He gave me the name of his Electriction, John Bisso. John did a great job at a very reasonable price. The crew was on time and cleaned up when they were done. A good price, on time, no surprises, exellent work. I wish all contractors worked this way.

I called Brian a week ago, he came out on New Years Day to give me a quote! It was great! He explained the whole process and made my husband and I feel at ease with the amount of money we would be paying. He is definitely reasonable. His guys were prompt and any time I had a question he answered me back promptly. The work is clean and beautifully done! We had some major cracks and issues with the pool and he fixed it all! We hired Brian’s Pool Plastering after obtaining 5 bids total. We hired Brian because he was referred and highly recommended by another pool contractor that was outside of our area which speaks volumes in itself.
Brian was extremely knowledgable and able to give me great advice on choosing the materials for our pool remodel, he even went the extra mile to help me locate a specific stone I wanted as well as had his crew meet me at the material yard to hand choose each stone we used.
Brian always did a little extra every step of the way without charging an additional penny as I know from past experiences most contractors would jump on any opportunity to squeeze every red cent they can get, so this was a refreshing experience to say the least.
Brian was in constant contact with me throughout the 10 day process and still is to this day as we hired him for our weekly cleaning service as well.
Our job was completed on schedule and the results are amazing.

I own a good sized property management company and we have had Brian’s Pool Plastering re-​plaster and remodel at least five pools in properties that we manage. They do an excellent job at a very reasonable price.
We also have Brian’s Pool Plastering maintain all of the pools in properties that we manage, their technicians are first rate and the service is superb.
