Anthony’s Moving Service

I have used Anthony’s moving service several times and love them!!! I would recommend them to anyone in need of moving! They are efficient, very careful with your belongings and on time. They helped me out twice when I was in a bind and being 9 months pregnant they did EVERYTHING. The guys are super friendly and know what they are doing and Dena is super sweet and will accommodate you no matter what you need! If you need MOVERS these are the guys!

When I was on a way to new place. I followed mover’s car but they took different way and I lost them. When I arrived my new place I was waiting for them to arrive more than 30mins. Finally they came in and told me they needed to stop for gas and the guy was holding scratch games in hand and played it in front of me. ~_~;
Of course they charged me whole time they went to gas station and so on.
It should be enough gas if they came with full tank of gas. They are charging by time so if they were well prepared I didn’t have to spend that extra.

Dena and Anthony’s are so awesome! I used Anthony’s for a move a couple of years ago. The guys were so friendly and helpful and completed my move in record time, so when my most recent move came up, Anthony’s was the first company that came to mind. Dena was able to fit me into the schedule right away and is always so accommodating! In my job at Chapman University, I work with students and their families and always recommend Anthony’s for their moving and storage needs. Since I’ve used them personally for my own move, I feel confident and comfortable referring Anthony’s out to students, families, and my own friends!

Jerome and Ron were excellent and very professional. Deana is very sweet lady. They all did what they promised. What else could you ask for?

This is a super belated review, but everyone needs to know how awesome Anthonys is!
During one of the most stressful times of my life (needing to leave one place of residence on short notice while not yet having a new place during the holidays) these guys did all the heavy lifting! Once we did find a place, Anthonys was super flexible and eager to make our move possible. There’s nothing like coming home (your new home that is) after a long day of work to find all the hard work has been done. Everything was where it should be. Nothing was broken. It was all done quickly, professionally and with a smile. The rates are the best you’ll find and the service cannot be beaten. They treated my not-​so-​expensive-​DIY furniture like it was their own antique furniture passed down through generations.
Do yourselves a favor if you need a move: hire Anthonys. It’s like family moving your stuff, only faster and more reliable!

Below was my original message about Anthony’s Moving and Storage, yet when I posted this message someone behind the wizards screen at Unilocal decided they deserved only 2 stars rather than the 5 Stars that I had given them, then they went further and discharged the rating to the dump pile with numerous other 5 Star ratings. So I clicked my ruby red slippers and ordered a house to drop on Unilocal just like OZ. They explained that much of Unilocal is computer generated and mistakes happen… lol Really that many times a good rating is dumped… or are they just not willing to pay you for advertising? Shame on you Unilocal!I will never trust a reference from your site again… but I would trust Dena at Anthony’s to move me any day of the week.
Better work on those computer glitches before Unilocal gets a bad Unilocal…

Still trying to see the forest through the trees… but Forrest and Company moved me to where I needed to be. No hassel, no hidden fees just honest hard working guys that took the time to wrap all my belongings and keep them looking prestine. They worked hard and long. Didn’t waste time on their cell phones. I was their number one priority. They stopped to eat only at my insistence and then got swiftly back to the move. I would not hesitate to hire them again or recommend them to friends and family. Dena said we were in good hands and she followed thru. She even hand delivered wardrobe boxes before the move. Anthony’s Moving and Storage rock!

So we had to move. Ugh. Moving has to be one of life’s worst experiences. Anything that can go wrong, usually does. And it did. Fortunately, there are places like Anthony’s Moving Service. From the very first nervous phone call I made to the last call I made, it was an absolute «calming» and «stress free» experience. Dena, the owner, took wonderful care of our move. In a move that took a lot out of us. Anthony’s restored that faith that everything would be OK. It was an experience that I wish everyone would have when moving. Thank you Dena. I would’ve loved to give this company a 5-​star rating like the others did but I was not given the chance. I talked to a girl but she seems like she was not paying attention. Finally she took my information, «locked» me in on the day and time I needed and said she will call me back in 20 minutes. Hours later and no call, nada. I have since moved on and finalized a transaction with another company. Life is short. I have to move on. Too bad, I would have given an excellent review.

We recently moved from Santa Monica to Venice. After calling around to different companies, we decided to use Anthonys moving service and could not be more happy with the excellent service we received. Dena was very accommodating and went above and beyond. Her workers were punctual and very friendly. Their work was done fast but efficient. I would definitely recommend this company to all friends and family who are looking to move. Dena and her workers turned what could have been a very stressful day, into a very pleasant one.

I called around to many moving companies and really did my homework before booking anyone to help move our family on a local move. Each and every time I spoke with Dena she was so helpful. We had a couple last minute hiccups that were out of our control and caused a lot of stress on our end. When I called and explained the situation to Dena she was beyond FANTASTIC and went to work with problem solving and helping us make back up plans (she acted like a friend not just someone doing her job). The morning of the move there was a car accident right in front of our house which blocked the moving van from pulling up. The movers and Dena were on top of it and so helpful in trying to figure out how best to do the first portion of our move so that we weren’t delayed. As for the movers they were hardworking, respectful and treated our belongings the way anyone would want their stuff treated, with care! I would highly recommend using them as someone who researched a lot of places and will be a repeat customer for a future move.

This company was very professional. The worker’s pay attention to details and worked hard in getting us all moved out. They remembered mine and my wife first names, and communicated to use like if we have known each other for some time. They were on time and had us moved out pretty quickly for moving a entire home. Best moving company out there! We used their services to move a business and a home — all in the same day — it was a 12+ hour job! The movers were excellent, they were professional, nothing was damaged. Manager Deena is a hoot — but she knows how to manage the move and her employees perfectly! We will definitely be referring our colleagues and even our family to use this moving service. We are soooo thankful to them; it was an extremely difficult move — no way any other moving company would have been able to handle it! Thank you!

I’ve been using this company for 10+ years. They have become part of my family! Ive never had the pleasure of meeting Dena the manager and friendly voice that always answers when you call (even at 9:00pm). However, she knows me by my voice this is how much I’ve used them. «who’s moving this time, mom, grandma, YOU! We finally get to move you» she says when I used her to move me back in April. Most recently I needed to move my grandmother. Dean went out of her way to make the move easy, dropped of boxes early so my mother would not stress and because I was not going to be available the day of the move.
Her guys is out of the world awesome! Quick! Friendly and careful, also quite handy! I had a broken piece of furniture I told one of them about and before I knew it, it was fixed!
For using a company as long as I have and for having never met the woman behind it all I feel as though I’m apart of her family! She gives great deals and is passionate about her job and is super compassionate especially when he knows that not all moves are for exciting purposes. Anyhow I can’t say enough besides I have her number saved in my contacts. I guess that’s as good as it gets right! Thanks Dean for all the years and help! You guys rock!

What a pleasurable experience! A quickly scheduled move for my boss went off like clockwork. Checked out five companies. One had great response but was high priced. Anthony’s was a personal referral. Called them next. Deena answered the phone. Was to the point and professional. Told her I would call her back. Called three others with no live person. Got pricing off websites. Anthony’s pricing was more than fair. The two guys they sent worked their ***es off and were pleasant. Thank you for making me look good! Will be hiring you again in the near future!

If you need a good moving company with reputable management, you need to consider another company. We contacted Anthony’s Moving from a referral. A verbal agreement was reached for their services on a Saturday morning. They contacted us and asked if Saturday afternoon would be okay and we agreed for them to arrive right after lunch. Saturday at 1:00 pm came and went… then 2:00…then at 3:00, we called and spoke with the manager. She said she would find out where the movers were and call us back in 10 minutes. Ten minutes went by and we called back… no answer. Over the course of the next 3 hours, we called repeatedly only to have ALL of our calls go unanswered or to voice mail. Many messages were left and at 6:00 pm, we received a call saying the guys would be there in an hour and a half. At 7:30 no one was there so another call was made with no answer. We had to set my wife and mother in law up in a hotel since all beds had been disassembled. At 9:00 pm we got a call saying the guys were on their way. We told them it was too late and they would have to come the next morning. A time of 9:00 was agreed to. At 9:00 on Sunday morning, they were not there. The movers finally arrived at 9:30. The movers began to wrap and load our things.
The manager called the movers and had them call another customer with whom they had a 10:00 appointment to tell their other customer they would be late. The mover was on the phone with the other customer for over 30 minutes which kept him from working on my move. The movers were very careful with our stuff but it took much longer than I had anticipated to move our two bedroom apartment (10 hours and we were only moving 2 miles).The manager had offered us a reduction of $ 10.00 per hour for not showing up on Saturday along with no charge for the tape. Due to it being a weekend with no way to contact another mover, we agreed to the reduction.
As the movers were finishing up the move late Sunday night, I called the manager to negotiate reimbursement for the hotel room due to it being their fault that the room was needed in the first place. The manager refused to pay the cost of the hotel and told me that «I am not in the business of paying for hotel rooms», even though it was her company’s fault in the first place. When I disagreed with her response, she placed me on hold with the excuse of having someone in her office (I don’t know if anyone was there or not). She immediately called the movers and told them to stop the move until this was sorted out. I could hear the mover talking with her on his phone and the conversation lasted 18 minutes which also took away from my move.
We were exhausted and needed the move completed so we didn’t push the hotel issue. We had to pay the movers because they had to pay the company out of their pocket and if they didn’t get paid, it would cost them money so I reluctantly paid the $ 600.00 to complete the move.
While the movers themselves were good, the company as a whole leaves a lot to be desired. Their customer service is non-​existent and the attitude of the management is totally unprofessional. If they are the only option, I will make my next move by myself.
