Answer Bail Bonds

Do not post bond with these guys. Very shady, posted bond with them now they are asking for more money to repost, they should not be charging me or anyone to rewrite a bond. Very shady

These guys are scammers. They called me offering to help bail a family member out of jail asking for all kinds of collateral. I refused at first since they were asking for some valuables that I was unwilling to part with, but finally they made an offer that sounded good and after my making sure several times, told me absolutely they’d do it, the owner Joe had approved it. They wanted $ 500 and a piece of collateral that was heavy and hard for me to load into my car.
After giving it some serious thought, I felt bad for my incarcerated family member and decided to go. Went through the whole process with Joe or Junior or Carlos not sure if they are all one and the same or what, but he interrogated me for an hour at least and then we finished the deal. I was told for sure my family member would be out the next day by noon and I’d get a phone call when it happened. Sounds good right? The next day came and they never called. No explanation or nothing.
I called when I got off work and got the runaround from a very rude and evasive guy that told me first they needed another co-​signer, then of course Joe/​Junior/​Carlos was gone for the day and was the only person who could give me further explanation. Called later in the evening to see if anyone else could be of more help, no luck. Got another rude guy who also tried to be quick to blow me off until I told him to be a freakin human being and let me vent because I’m not happy about being ripped off and taken for a sucker, and I’m sure my family member was 10 times more unhappy thinking he was gonna see freedom in the morning only to be screwed over by some heartless money-​hungry jerk. So he obliged and listened to my rant about the owner not being a stand-​up guy.
Finally heard the full story from family members: This guy wanted a lot of extra money to continue with the bond!!! He promised me this deal and made me arrange for someone to watch my kids late at night, load a heavy piece of collateral into my car, drive 25 mins, and tell my kids they would soon be able to see said family member that they missed so much. Not to mention incarcerated family member who was very upset at being deceived.
Heard from a few other people this is NOT an isolated incident! This guy has a reputation of offering a good deal, signing you up, and then suckering you in with requiring more money. Of course your money is tied up and he WILL NOT give a cash refund if you paid with a card so you that you might proceed to pay another bail bondsmen to help your loved one. Don’t even bother calling him to ask for an explanation because he will never be there or hide behind his equally rude employees who of course won’t know what’s going on and haven’t been there the last 2 days. Finally when you get a hold of him will he insult you and hang up on you because he doesn’t want to be accountable. Very unprofessional and not good business at all.
Still waiting on my refund that I hope was processed like they said. Guess who has to drive down there and pick up that heavy collateral also. Yeah no fun when you’re a single mom trying to get by and your $ 500 is gone for «3 – 5 business days».
BOTTOM LINE: DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME,
ANSWER BAIL BONDS IS NOT THE ANSWER.
*UPDATE*
So just this morning they called me and said i needed to come in because the bank returned the refund because they didn’t have my signature and a copy of my card and license. This was after telling me 3 times over the phone on 2 different phone calls yesterday that the refund was processed and it will be back in my account in a few days.
SO RECAP:
We signed the contract on ⁸⁄₂₆.
No phone call or resolution from the owner on ⁸⁄₂₇.
Had to call on ⁸⁄₂₈ and was told card had been refunded.
Called again later that day to verify since i had a bad feeling.
Was told the same thing.
⁸⁄₂₉ got the call about this mess.
BUT here’s the real joke: The lady named Lupe that called me said she is the only one who can do the refund and she leaves at 4 and won’t be there the whole weekend. This of course was after i said i was working til 6 and could come by afterward. I already filed a dispute with my bank because something tells me I’d be jumping through their hoops for a while before i see any money. Oh and my bank said no record of any refund trying to go through was found! What crooks, thank God I paid with my debit card and my bank is very good about these things because who knows what kind of BS story they’d come up with for cash.
But this is just proof of the above mentioned reputation and confirms what I heard from others.
