AM PM Shuttle Transportation

Booked a round-​trip fare for my family of 5 from Long Beach Airport to a Disneyland-​area hotel one week before our trip. Pre-​paid online at the time of reservation. Price was good at $ 10 per person each way, (but not the lowest price we were quoted… shop around!). However, they FORGOT us.
Our flight landed a little early, so I wasn’t worried when our shuttle was not there when we checked in at the shuttles airport «office.» After waiting till 30 minutes AFTER our scheduled landing time (now 5:05 pm), I started calling the only published number for AMPM.
Initially, no answer. I left a message and called back 5 minutes later. After 3 calls, one right after another, I finally got an answer. Gave the lady my name and confirmation number; she did not seem to know who I was or what date it was. She tried to tell me she had our reservation down for September 21^st… I informed her «yes. That’s today. We’re waiting at the airport and there is no-​one here to get us.» She promised to call me back in 5 minutes. 15 minutes later, I called her back to find out if we were ever going to get picked up. She called a driver from another company to pick us up (luckily already waiting at the airport to take call-​in pick-​ups). The driver was very kind, van was roomy and well kept.
For our return trip I called to confirm our pick up 24 hours before (I did not want to get forgotten when we had a flight to catch). This time the driver was early, but again, from a different company that AMPM gave the pick-​up too. We make it to the airport in excellent time.
Over all the service we received from the drivers was good. However, that really didn’t have anything to do with AMPM Shuttle. AMPM was essentially a booking service, and seeing how they forgot about our pre-​paid reservation, not a very good one. I’d rather book directly with the drivers, who are often small business owners themselves, than ever go through AMPM Shuttle again.

The best thing about this shuttle service was the price. We chose this shuttle service because we liked the fact that they kept track of your flight. That way if we were delayed they would know and still pick us up. Well we were delayed 40 mins, then due to an airline mix up, my parents had to take a later flight and meet us another hour later. This meant we were 2 hours late. We talked to them on the phone and they said no problem. Well we waited 10 mins outside before our shuttle arrived. The driver was stressed about how much luggage we had, even though we had told the business how many bags we had and that we had a mobility scooter and stroller. They had said it wasn’t a problem. The driver had two large guitar cases in the van taking up a lot of room and refused to let my handicapped mom ride in the front passenger seat. This left us with two less seats. My husband and father managed to guide the driver and help him make everything fit. I had to ride with stuff on my lap and under my feet. The driver even complained that we needed to move faster since he had been waiting for us for two hours!!! The balls! It was all I could do to not tell him where he could stick it. The last thing I needed after a very stressful flight with two small children was this jerk complaining about his needs! The trip home was not without bumps either. We called the day before to arrange a pick up time a half an hour earlier than their original pick up time, and they said they would pick us up at 11:00. They never told their driver and he showed up at 11:30. He was very courteous and had no problem with all our luggage. He let us use the front seat and made the trip easy. He knew how to do his job and the owner should ask him how to do business. I think his name was Andy. Poor guy didn’t have any a/​c in the back of his van because the owner of the company won’t pay to fix it, so he has to ride with the a/​c on blast in the front, so we wouldn’t melt in the back of the van. My advice to this company is to charge more and hire better drivers and fix their vans. I’d rather pay more and have better customer service than pay less and have all the stress. The only reason I gave the second star is for the service we received from our second driver Andy.

I made a reservation to be picked up on a Saturday at Orange Country Airport to be dropped off at a hotel near Disneyland, and to be returned to Orange Country Airport on a Tuesday.
I landed, made the call when walking to pick up my luggage. Once I had my luggage, I walked outside and they were pulling up. Was taken to hotel and dropped off with friendly service. We landed at 11:15 and we were into Disneyland by 12:30.
My reservation to be picked up at hotel on Tuesday was at 9:30 and they showed up on time and got us to airport in plenty of time. I made reservation for 9:30 because most shuttles are late. Well they were on time and we were at airport to early.
Look online for price too! I got $ 8 per person each way. (Without tip)
