I ordered the dark chocolate mousse cheesecake online. Anthony followed up with me to confirm my order and arrange for pick up. He’s a wonderful person and provided excellent customer service. My colleagues commented that this was the best cheesecake they had ever had. Thank you, Anthony! I will order again for my next event!

Had the classic with raspberry sauce and also tried chocolate for a Mother’s Day gathering last night. Exceptional! Pleasantly surprised on how light and fluffy cheesecake could be. These bursted with a ton of flavor. Great treat and will be back for more.

Tried the original cheese cake with raspberry sauce. Hard to describe how good this is. My best description is that each bite is a struggle to either eat slowly and savor the flavor or just devour it. It is unique in texture being so light and creamy. I shared it with a couple others who were blown away by it. It will be the first of many more to come. I am looking forward to trying them all, and the future battles of «savor vs devour».
Anthony was a joy to talk to. Without a doubt his passion shines through in this product. I love in this day and age the ability for people to share their goods through the Internet. I found it amusing that the one less than 5 start rating here is solely based on that fact. It had nothing to do with the product or the proprietor. Late review, Last month in December it was my sisters birthday and she requested a cheesecake my first thought was Cheesecake Factory but I decided to look outside the box and utilize my favorite app Unilocal, when I came across Above all cheesecakes and read the reviews I figured I would give it a shot let me just say Anthony has exceptional customer service that to me alone is everything. I strongly believe that he considered everything from making sure I was comfortable with picking up from his home, making it very clear that it was not your normal cheesecake letting me know the texture and even going into detail on how he started selling this little piece of heaven «Cheesecake» it was amazing my sister and her family absolutely loved it… I actually took his advise in keeping it wrapped up and saved a slice for my fiancé who arrived 3days later it remained fresh as he said it would!

Simply to say it was delicious. We only got one piece of the lovely cheesecake soufflé that we brought to Christmas eve dinner. Very light fluffy and well flavored. We I am sure be buying more when it calls for a desert.
We did place a last minute order and do owe a huge thank you for the great service and kindness during the holiday season.

Best cheesecake in the Orange County! Honestly, I never thought I’d find the best cheesecake in LA/​OC tucked away in a quiet neighborhood in Orange. I am a cheesecake junkie, and let’s be honest… Cheesecake Factory is just bleh! Too sweet, too heavy, too guilty.
I had a sudden sweet tooth craving and came across Above All Cheesecakes while surfing Unilocal.The high number of 5 star reviews attracted me, and I had to find out why. Anthony answered my call promptly, and arranged for an impromptu cake pick up! He usually sells out of a bakery in Downtown Santa Ana (where Portola coffee/​Playground is), but because it was on such short notice, I had to pick up from his home. He carefully asked me if I’m comfortable with picking up the cake from his home. I thought… «Wouldn’t you be more uncomfortable in this scenario?» All your customers would know where you live! Upon meeting Anthony, we were overwhelmed by how much passion he has in baking and running his own start-​up baking business! This guy is genuine, and a lot of that love goes directly into his cakes!
On to the cake itself… AMAZING! We had the lemon cheesecake and pumpkin spice cheesecake… Both were absolutely phenomenal. Light, airy, fluffy, melt-​in-​your-​mouth, just effortless. Like another reviewer mentioned, it was very close to Japanese style cheesecakes, but had that extra kick to it because of the flavors. I honestly think Anthony should be getting way more publicity and epic reviews for how awesome his cheesecakes are, one of the best desserts in LA/​OC!
Oh, and to that reviewer who left a 3 star review simply because you had to pick up from his home late at night. Honestly, if someone called me at 9pm to buy and pick up cheesecake from my home, I’d turn them down. I don’t know where you live, but that neighborhood is nowhere close to shady! The man put in the effort, you loved the cheesecake, and yet you gave him 3 stars? Many small businesses rely on Unilocal to bring customers, you’re just causing unnecessary trouble, run along now. Keep up the good work Anthony!

Anthony’s cheesecakes are divine. I tried the orange sauce, blueberry sauce and just the plain cheesecake… all are so yummy! It’s super smooth and almost feels like cotton in my mouth. I would order again!!!

Oh myyyyy goooooidness! Seriously the best most unique tasting cheesecake ever! Will definitely be using him for all my events and holidays and just cause I love cheesecake!

I ordered two originals, one as a gift to our business friend, one more for myself and my co-​workers because we wanted to try after reading all the good reviews. One word — AMAZING! His cheesecake was much more than we expected. So smooth, light, not overly sweet, and very very tasty. All of us were so impressed. Some of us are Japanese and we’ve been looking for light and not so sweet cheesecake (unlike NY cheesecake) we had in Japan but couldn’t find any in OC unless you go to Japanese or Taiwanese bakery. So we were so happy that we found a place we can get the cheesecake we really like.
Also, the owner Anthony’s customer service was great too! We could tell he really loves his job and is very proud of his cheesecake. :) We’ll order again!

This review is long overdue. My husband and I hired Anthony of Above All Cheesecakes to make our wedding cakes just 3 months away from our wedding date after our previous wedding cake baker backed out. He so kindly opened his home for our tasting and even provided tea and coffee to drink while we tasted all of our options. He was very friendly and so pleasant to work with especially since my husband and I changed our order several times before our wedding day arrived. We couldn’t pick just one flavor because they all tasted so yummy so we ordered a couple of each flavor with a total of 8 cheesecakes. Now I can’t stop boasting to all my friends, family and co-​workers about what a great experience I had with Above All Cheesecakes. I highly recommend ordering from Above All Cheesecakes.

It was almost 9pm and my husband and I were craving cheesecake after dinner. After Unilocaling the words ‘best cheesecake ever’, we called the number for Above All Cheesecakes because of the great reviews. I spoke with Anthony on the phone and he let me know that I could get a slice of cheesecake from the Fourth Street Market in Santa Ana or buy a whole cheesecake directly from him. We chose to go with a whole cheesecake since the market was closed. He gave me directions to his house where he had the cheesecake. This seemed odd but we headed over. As we got close to his house, my husband couldn’t shake the feeling that it was sketchy and we decided not to meet up with him. As we drove away though, we saw him outside his garage and decided to just go for it since we were already there. Thinking back on it, even considering going to some guys house to buy a cheesecake after dark was a terrible idea.
Anthony was a very pleasant person and very passionate about his cheesecakes and his business. He described his cheesecake as a cheesecake soufflé and it was exactly that. Delicious fluffy cheesecake complemented with raspberry sauce. It tastes more like cake than cheesecake so it’s not something I wasn’t crazy about but it was still good.
As far as price, it was $ 38 for the classic cheesecake plus a 2.25 fee to use card. It’s more than I expected to pay for a cheesecake but I figured, why not splurge this one time. The small fee is from the square app he uses to charge but I don’t feel that should have been passed to the customer. It should be a courtesy to customers for him to cover that fee because the Square allows him to reach more customers by accepting card.
Anthony seems like a nice person who makes a good cheesecake soufflé cake. I hope he finds a safer and more convenient way to sell them.

Ordered the Original and the Lemon.
My expectations were high after reading the reviews and seeing the consistent 5 star ratings; however, I was wary since cheesecake in America is typically more like fudge than like cake. The reviews read «light» and «not heavy at all,» but that’s subjective because «light» when compared to something like fudge is still not light.
Beginning with ordering, I submitted a brief note through the website. Anthony promptly replied even though he was overseas on holiday. I was impressed, but felt bad he was doing work emails while on vacation. I felt even worse when he said he would be baking the same night he returned from his trip.
Coordinating pick up since I live fairly close, Anthony was consistently courteous and thoughtful. He is very personable and you can hear in his voice how much he values everyone who wants to try his cheesecakes. After speaking with him, I was looking forward to meeting him.
Pick up schedule was easy and everything was ready for me when I arrived. Packing was clean and presentation was very attractive and simple. Cheesecakes should not be adorned with too many decorations or sauces. Traditionally, cheesecake is a deceptively simple dessert and should be enjoyed for what it is without additional distractions; texture, taste, and appearance should all match, and the process of tasting and how the cheesecake responds to the temperature on the tongue is something that most cheesecake producers ignore. Taste needs to develop as the bite you just took melts, and so many cheesecakes are too heavy, too processed, or too thick, and they lack this aspect of development.
They might not look all that exciting, but A LOT of attention goes into making a proper cheesecake, and it ain’t easy by any stretch.
When the two boxes were handed over to me, I noticed how light they were. I was excited since most cheesecakes weigh about the same as the moon.
When I got my boxes home, I immediately unwrapped and sliced (with a warm blade that had run under hot water for at least 30 seconds to ensure a clean cut). The cheesecake didn’t compress or stick and came out cleanly. The texture was creamy but also fluffy but didn’t lack body. Despite the lack of heft, the cheesecake stood up well.
First bite: Lemon.
Light, airy, cream cheese and lemon flavors were very well balanced and not over powering. I didn’t feel I needed to drink tea immediately after. My fork went in cold and came out clean (but that doesn’t mean a cold knife would be the same). The slice didn’t cave in or crumble.
Second bite: Original
Started fluffy then melted into a beautiful sweet cream. Flavor profiles developing subtly and slowly.
My husband and I agreed that something like this came as a surprise in terms of American desserts. We didn’t think we’d ever find cheesecake like this in the US. He said that this preparation is very similar to what is found in Japan.
Delicate, unobtrusive, and yet still very deep and deliberate.
The raspberry sauce given is meant to compliment, not coat, the cheesecake. Quite honestly, the cheesecake doesn’t need it and I think people would benefit from not having the option to add sauce at all (it almost insults the cheesecake), but tradition demands raspberry sauce, and it’s good. Clean and sweet and plays well with the cheesecake, but I personally don’t need it. I’ll use it for something else.
Will be ordering again very soon, and have already recommended to several people.

The cheesecake is Phenomenal. Funny story is that, when I served the cheesecake to my 16 guests, only 3 accepted a slice because most of them are so full from dinner… One out of three said «Oh wow! i didnt want any but I take it back. THIS IS GOOD!»… (and the other two agreed). I couldnt believe what I heard bec I thought of the Unilocal reviews and they say exactly the same comment… they were right… anyway, so the rest followed and wanted to try it. … It is very light and it has that beautiful taste to it. I ordered the traditional… try it. you wont regret it… Anthony is very personable… profesional and friendly. You can just tell it is his passion… he makes sure you enjoy it… So yes – 5 star… You will be happy. I guarantee…

Ordered the classic cheesecake with the raspberry sauce for a New Year’s Eve dinner. Everyone LOVED it!!! You could tell it was fresh, very light but so flavorful at the same time. I was so glad we were only six people, which meant I got to keep some for later to enjoy with coffee. He also gave me a piece of the orange cranberry cheesecake to try. YUMMY!!!
Worth every penny! Will definitely order again and highly recommend it!
