AB Kitchen & Bath Design

We hired AB Kitchen and Bath to redo our whole kitchen in December 2014. The kitchen was installed February 2015, by March 2015 the cabinets were peeling and breaking. I spoke to Daniel about this and he came out to see the cabinets, contacted the company and had a representative from the company come take pictures. After that the cabinet company ENS started dragging their feet and our brand new cabinets one by one started falling apart. After 7months waiting to see what the cabinet company would do we asked Daniel to make it right and he continued to say be patient let’s see what the cabinet company will do. I reminded him numerous times we had a contract with him not the company and he needed to make it right. Fast forward to December 2015 and still nothing had been done. Daniel is the hardest person to get a hold of and when we would text he would not get back to us. The front office staff turned so many times that I dealt with three different people trying to resolve this.
After a year Daniel agreed to fix our cabinets, we ordered new ones from another company and were told they would be put in by the end of January 2016 because I was 9 months pregnant and I needed the kitchen done before bringing home a new baby, he promised it would be… it wasn’t.
Contacted him at the end of March 2016 to see if all our new cabinets were in and if they all matched (original cabinets came in different batches and were different color shades) It is May 2016 and still no response or follow up by Daniel. This company has the worst follow through and horrible customer service. We have been patient and waited a year, giving Daniel plenty of time to make this right and still nothing. I want to inform others so you don’t run into what we did. Our kitchen is the focal point of our house and it is embarrassing to have cabinets that are all chipped and peeled away. I dreamed of a beautiful kitchen and every time I look at my cabinets It makes me so sad.
If you hire them, make sure you know where your products are coming from because that was not disclosed to us, I have learned to ask now. Do not expect Daniel to get back to you if you have any issues at all, this company does not back their customer. In the end we paid a lot of money for cabinets that pealed and broke apart within one month of being installed and I have a feeling AB will never make it right. I would encourage you to practice great caution when hiring this company.

The most unprofessional experience I have ever been through. I too had issues receiving contractor license information. He promosed it to me and never sent it. I had to go into office and get it. I have a small bathroom and only one. My estimate and contract stated approximately 2 weeks. Daniel moved the job up a week demolitioned my bathrom and then no one came for several days. There were more than one occasion when someone was supposed to show up and didnt. His crew are inexperienced and careless. They damaged my vanity and did not fix it. His attitude is if they do it wrong they will do it until it’s right. Why can’t they do it right the first time they are professionals? My tile in my bathtub/​shower had to be done 2 times. My vanity still does not have a drawer and the job is completed? Daniel didn’t come out for final inspection. I am very disappointed and dissatisfied. The job took over 35 days. I have one bathroom. No working shower for a month. I advise caution when using this business.

We had our kitchen redone by them over a year ago and they did a great job. We had received a quite for cabinet refacing, etc from Home Depot and it was going to be a rip off. For a similar price we found Daniel and Anthony at AB and was impressed with their knowledge and had a great showroom. We went with them after getting an estimate and hashing out details and are very glad we did. They make very good suggestions and have a great eye for what is feasible in the space you have to work with. Finished it in under 2 weeks and the tile and cabinet work were definitely quality. We were very happy with everything about the experience except when it came to payment. We paid about ²⁄₃ of the price upfront with cash and then opted to pay the rest on a credit card even though it was subject to a 2.75% fee. At the completion of the job Daniel and Anthony came by and noticed some details that were not up to there standards and had them fixed, which was great! At that time I gave them my credit card information to get charged but It was obvious Daniel preferred cash. We were saving for a wedding at the time and offered to pay in payments for the remaining balance if he was set on a cash transaction. He declined and took the credit card number. Oddly, we awaited the charge and it never was processed. I was unsure if he was doing this for tax reasons or what. Fast forward over a year later and our card was charged last month without any courtesy phone call or warning. The card I gave him at the time had an intro APR of 0% which is why I used it. It no longer has one and is our highest APR card. Now we will be stuck paying interest on a balance we were no longer prepared to pay down. Very disappointed in the lack of communication, especially because the work was so good.

Our experience was very similar to Kari H. They have a nice showroom and seem to be quite knowledgable as it relates to design and product selection. Our experience was very strange in that we received a competitive quote with a very nice design option, but they refused to provide references or their contractor’s license number and then withdrew their quote because I asked too many questions and I quote, «Daniel doesn’t want to go back and forth».
UPDATE: Both Daniel and Anthony contacted me to let me know they felt my original review was not fair. After speaking with Daniel, I was advised that it is their practice to provide the contractor license # only after a contract is signed and it can be reviewed during the «3 day right of refusal period». They also do not provide references until a contract is signed to protect the privacy of their clients.
We agreed that it is a business owner’s right not to do business with certain customers and what we are looking for is not a good fit.

They have a great selection of items but I wasn’t impressed with the service. The owner was pretty rude when I was there. He made an appointment with me for later in the day and never showed. Two days later now and I still haven’t even received so much as a phone call. Not a great way to do business. I went in there a few months back and dealt with his son who was fantastic. One day when the owner passes the business on to his son I may be back. The son was excellent. Friendly. Helpful. Respectful. Knowledgable. Time to retire dad!!! Lost my business until then!

Our new granite countertop and white cabinets looks fantastic. We had a very positive experience working with Daniel and Anthony at AB Kitchen. Daniel came over to our place to do the first measurements and listen to what we wanted. He gave us great suggestions on what could be done and even suggested installing a curved granite bar top to our pony wall behind the sink. Now we can use our bar stools and make use of the beautiful bar top. When demo and construction began, Anthony was there making sure the work was done properly. They were clean and did the job quickly. We got updates often from Anthony and he answered a lot of our construction questions since this was our first experience with home re-​modeling. All in all, I would highly recommend them… good quality work and nice and knowledgeable people taking care of you.
