Stayed here with my daughter after a concert at Thrasher-​Horne. Just stayed to sleep and have continental breakfast. Comfortable beds was happy with stay.

Stayed here while visiting my boyfriend’s family for just one night. We asked for for a room at the end of the hall and on the first floor due to medical reasons for one of the children traveling with us because his equipment makes a lot of noise and we didn’t want to disturb the other guests. The staff at the front desk said that unfortunately there were no rooms available at the ends, but that we were on the first floor. He also mentioned that if any guest called to complain about the noise that he would explain the reason and would ensure that we wouldn’t have any issues. For us, that was a great comfort that he was willing to handle any issues. Our only issue was that the air conditioning unit did not cool the room adequately. Other than that, the staff was great, the room was clean and the children enjoyed the breakfast thoroughly! Definitely will return when we visit family again!

I stayed at this hotel for eight nights because i was in town to attend to a passing in the family. The hotel was a three minute drive to their house, which made it convenient.
The rooms are strictly average. Though it may have been remodeled, the remodeling was not well done. It is basically a step up from your basic Motel 6.
The breakfast food tasted below average. The fruit did not appear fresh, and was individually wrapped. The eggs were not edible, and the bacon was too greasy.
What really set me off about this hotel was that it is the owners decision to play the Fox «News» network 24 – 7 in the lobby and the breakfast room. They would not change the channel, and subjected my mom and I to this propaganda for nine days and eight nights.
If there was another hotel in the area, I would have checked into it instead. But I wish I had just stayed 10 min away anyway looking back at it.

I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff. They gave me candy and upgraded my room because I was a diamond choice member too! Also, very convenient to some good restaurants.

At the time of booking I was assured the rooms were all newly remodelled and nice. I arrived after midnight from the west coast. Exhausted I went to my room. OH MY! The smell was overwhelming. A combination of mold, mildew, smoke, and a massive amount of coverup cleaning perfume. It was strong enough to make my eyes water and shut my throat down. As I sat on the bed the lounger chair beside it reeked of urine.
I immediately went back to the front desk. I explained the situation and asked for a less mildewed, remodelled room. I was told by Steve on night shift that he did not have the ability to switch my room but would return my money and I could leave the hotel. The closest hotels were approx 45 minutes away back in JAX. it was now 1:30 am and I had been flying for 10 hrs from the west coast. Exhausted I opted to deal with it and go back to the room… gross!
I received a call from Steve about a half hour later offering me a handicap room that had just become available at 2:00 am. I was already in bed and passed on the offer.
The next morning I spoke with the front desk. They offered to upgrade my room For an ADDITIONAL FEE to a supposed king suite room (it was the same room but add a couch instead of chairs). I was fine with that. I just wanted to be removed from the smell. I will pay the slight upgrade for a nicer room. OH NO NO NO! this room smelled of just as much mold, tobacco and mildew if not worse because they didn’t spray that awful perfume to cover it up. The carpet was stained and sticky,
The rooms smelt as if they had been remodelled with carpet and furniture that had been purchased from a Florida Hurricane/​Flood Salvage Store.
I would NOT Reccomended this hotel. In my opinion I would NOT bring a CHILD to sleep in this hotel. If you have BREATHING OR ALERGY PROBLEMS I highly Reccomended you stay somewhere else.
I will give this hotel 1 stars just because the bathrooms were clean. The bedding appeared to be newer and clean.
The beds in both rooms appeared to be older and not very comfortable.
The staff was nice but not overly helpful. The departure front desk woman was nice. She stated she was aware of similar complaints and that this was not new or uncommon to receive such complaints or information upon check out from guests.
Bottom line: They made no effort to offer any type of compensation for the discomfort and charged me a higher rate to switch me to a room that was just as bad as the first.

Housekeeper extremely rude. When informed front desk response:“she’s not a very nice person”. Then why is she still working and interacting with customers? Place was clean but experience ruined by rude treatment. Housekeeper knocked on door at 11 am and informed us that checkout was at 11. We thought it was 12. She threatened to charge us for another day. Then she proceeded to open the door every 5 minutes!

This hotel is fantastic. I stayed here twice in November for work. Everyone on staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. On my second visit, we arrived earlier than the check-​in time and our rooms weren’t ready, so the front desk attendant worked with the head maid to find us rooms that were ready right then. The hotel is practically brand new; it even still smells new. Both rooms I stayed in were immaculate and very clean. There is also a pool, FREE hot breakfast (including a waffle station), a gym, and free internet. It is in a newer part of town too (and only a few miles from Orange Park proper), with plenty of restaurants on the same street (Applebee’s and IHOP are in the same parking lot) and shopping. I LOVE this hotel and the service far exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended. GREAT value.
