Mr. Cupcakes

I finally found a decent cupcake place !! I absolutely love the peanut butter and jelly cupcakes. If you’re not into pb&j, I’m sure you can find a flavor of cupcake you will like because there is a variety of unique flavors.
The only downside to this place are its limited hours. It closes pretty early, so if you have a sweet tooth plan early!

The cupcakes are oookkaaayyy. but this bad review is mostly for the service. I went there this morning and the girl that «helped» me was SOO rude, it’s like I was BOTHERING her to pick up a cupcake and put it in a box for me. She didn’t say thank you and barely said hi when I came in. I don’t know who she was but she just made me not want to go there again. There’s a reason why that tip jar is empty!

Mr. Cupcake is one of my daughters favorites, I can say, it really puts a smile on my 3 year old. She loves to share with her friends, and Mr. Cupcake offers very nice selection of flavors and decorations. Of course Princess’ are always a must.

Came here a few times and realized I never wrote a review. Bad Unilocaler… that being said.
Mr. Cupcakes isn’t my favorite place to get cupcakes by any means but they do hit the spot when I’m craving some sugar. I’ve sampled a few but the fruity pebble is my favorite along with the raspberry cheesecake.
The fruity pebble is yellow cake with fruity pebbles baked inside, cream cheese icing with fruity pebbles on top. The raspberry cheesecake was yellow cake with raspberry preserve baked inside it topped with cream cheese icing with a raspberry drizzle on top. They were both fabulous.
I came to pick up a few dozen cupcakes for my friends party not to long ago and I was pleasantly surprised to see that their cupcakes weren’t dry like the first time I had tired one. The cupcakes I sampled were moist and delicious. They were a huge hit at the party too.
The store itself is small with a large counter and display case filled with all the cupcakes along with an area where you can buy some Mr. Cupcakes apparel such as shits and so on. It’s in a great location on the strip and hope they do well there.

Wonderful cupcakes. I got a half dozen and wasn’t disappointed with a one.

Picked up a dozen cupcakes for my brother’s graduation party and they were a hit! Upon arrival at the bakery you are welcomed by a wonderful scent of baked delicious-​ness and the cupcakes were certainly delicious. The cake was moist and the frosting was light and fluffy. The cupcakes were in my fridge for a few hours prior to being served to the guests so it was great that they held up and still tasted fresh. The service at the shop was also amazing. I had an Amazon Local deal that I used and I’m usually hesitant to use coupon deals like that because I’ve found that customer service isn’t as great as if you were paying full price, but that wasn’t the case here. The two girls behind the counter were extremely friendly, helpful, and patient. I will definitely come here again whenever I need cupcakes for any upcoming events.

Im really not a cupcake fanatic, but I am sold on these.
The location is inviting and cute. Sooo many different options. The cupcakes themselves were very good! Nice and moist! I tried:
Roberto’s flan: Chocolate cupcake with buttercream frosting and a cute and delicious flan sitting on top. Very tasty and well balanced. I was afraid of it being too sweet but it was perfect!
Strawberries and cream: strawberry cupcake with a creamy, light and whipped strawberry frosting on top. Also very good. Not too sweet and moist and flavorful.
French Toast: it had good reviews but i wasn’t fond of it. Basically tasted like a cinnamon spice cake, but wasn’t bad by any means.
Viva La Leche: yummy, kinda like the hispanic dessert Tres Leches, it is made with three different kinds of milk to give it a super moist almost on the wet side consistency. Decadent and indulgent.

these cupcakes are outstanding. the are moist, always taste like the flavor description, and never overly sweet, simply delicious. we stop by for our share every so often and will continue to do so as long as they continue to serve up these tasty delights.
on our last visit we shared four cupcakes, raspberry cheesecake, triple chocolate, red velvet, and chocolate caramel. all four tasted as advertised. the cake was delicious, and the frostings were perfect. other cupcake shops should take lessons on what cupcakes should taste like.
Johnny definitely makes them better.

I already gave a review for Mr. Cupcakes for the Hackensack location (inside a mall). It was not a positive one due to the cupcakes not being the freshest. This location is good because I can tell the cupcakes are nice and fresh. As for the flavors, I guess (based on the reviews) you’ll either love the flavors and textures of these cupcakes or hate them. I personally was impressed when I had the cupcakes from this location because they were how they were supposed to be (moist and flavorful). So far, my favorite is the red velvet one… as boring as that sounds. I know, it surprised me too. There’s still plenty of flavors I haven’t tried yet though so this may change.
Update: I just got some for my birthday party. Tried Strawberry for the first time. That’s my new favorite. It just melted in my mouth. The topping was whipped, he cake was perfectly moist and flavorful. Delicious.

Like another Unilocaler said, I really want to like Mr. Cupcakes but the cupcakes just fall short. I’ve probably tried all the flavors because so many of my friends love these cupcakes. But every time I take a bite, I instantly regret it. The cupcakes are just greasy and heavy without much flavor. Just disappointing.

My friends and I are obsessed with finding great «cupcakerys» and thanks to Mr. Cupcakes, I win! lol. Mr. Cupcakes is my go to spot for birthdays, special events and just because moments. No matter what event I’m going to, someone always asks if I will «bring cupcakes from that spot you like in Jersey». I live about 40 minutes away from Mr. Cupcakes but I make sure I make the trip when I need to! They have a great assortment of flavors, the cake to frosting ratio is just right and the prices are unbeatable; Unless someone was giving them away for free, of course! The cakes are moist, the frosting isn’t sickeningly sweet as most are these days and the different flavors are so unique and playful. I would most definitely recommend Mr. Cupcakes for anyone craving a delicious, unique, and well-​executed cupcake.

We love trying cupcakes from all over the country, but Mr. Cupcakes did not meet par level. The icing was super thick and taste like shortening. The cake itself had to much going on and lacked flavor at the same time. It just is not a cupcake with substance. We were very disappointed and would never go back and would not even recommend it.
My mom has way better cupcakes.

I prefer their normal human being sizes, and their variety of flavors makes picking out your cupcake a treat.

Stay away! Cupcakes are greasy and flavor-​less. Even my little ones didn’t like them! The only part worth eating is the icing, and even some of the flavors I had weren’t that great. If you do happen to be adventurous or just want to waste money, at least try the fruity pebbles one. Everything else is just plain nasty…

I’ve tried 2 of their cupcakes and both were very yummy in my tummy. The chocolate chip smoothie was heavenly all around with sweet but not too sweet icing and choc cake with chips in the batter! The french toast was a unique treat, had a cinnamony taste to it, and again not too sweet. I wish I’d seen these guys on cupcake wars recently, because I sure wish they’d won! they also have a lot of t shirts for sale at a reasonable $ 10

I want tO like these cupcakes because I generally love all cupcakes. That being said, I’d rather bake some Betty crocker.
I’ve tried many different flavors from mr cupcakes and they all generally taste the same! Granted the icing is probably the best part of these grease monsters, but I’ve had better on entemmens. All the cakes are oily, greasy, and I can’t tell their flavor profiles apart. My Tiramisu cupcake tasted the same as my bf’s coconut cupcake.

Wow, what a disappointment. I took my family to Mr. Cupcakes yesterday, Sunday 9÷4÷11, to sample a selection of cupcakes. We are having a party in a few weeks and wanted to narrow down the flavors. We bought 12 cupcakes and not one was full cooked!!! I couldn’t believe it. The store was 900 degrees and I asked what happened to the air and the young man behind the counter said they were baking all day. All of the other staff were sitting around eating and talking. After tasting the offerings, I am now thinking they rushed the cooking to be done for the day. We also went to Carousel in Ridgewood the same day to compare and the difference was night and day. Carousel had fresh, perfectly baked cupcakes. Needless to say, our party order will not be with Mr. Cupcake, nor will our business be any longer. What a disappointment. If you are looking for an undercooked cupcake that is as grainy as a muffin, then come here. If not, I recommend you pass!

Every ounce of these are delicious. You can tell the care and ingenuity they’re made with. These are first-​class cupcakes. Every time I walk in here I spoil myself with a dozen. The hardest part of it all is deciding which ones to get and how many of each. You can’t go wrong with any one you choose.

Usually, the icing is the best part of the cupcake; but when eating a treat from Mr. Cupcakes, both cake and icing are equally delicious.
The cake is dense, moist, and FULL of flavor. You’ll savor every single bite. The icing is rich and dense and so much more decadent than any other cupcakes I’ve had.
They offer a wide variety of cupcakes, many with amusing names. Some cupcakes are totally unique to the shop (for example French Toast, Cookie Jar, and S’Mores are cupcakes I’ve seen nowhere but Mr. Cupcakes) as well as the classics such as red velvet.
If you’re a peanut butter lover, try the peanut butter and jelly cupcake. The taste of peanut butter cookies has been captured in a cake and the peanut butter icing has just enough fruity drizzle to capture a jelly taste.
At this location, the workers have been very kind and always patient. Parking on the street can be a pain, so I recommend using municipal parking and just walking a little ways.
Whenever I finish my cupcakes, I begin thinking of the next occasion I can use as an excuse to get more of these delicious cupcakes!

The cupcakes you’ll find here are rich and packed with deliciousness. I’d recommend my personal favorite to anyone: Red Velvet.
I love the whole process of picking them out, then telling whomever I’ve bought them for, the clever name for each.
I’ve had only good experiences with the customer service, who are very good at wrapping up orders quickly & smoothly.
At this location in particular, the street parking can get a little tricky, so be prepared to carry your cupcakes a little farther than you might want too.
I’m really glad this place is so local & close.
