I purchased my condo in 2009 and thought that the referral from my real estate agent for this law firm would have been great. As a first time buyer I wanted a law firm that was attentive to my needs. The only positive part of my experience with Mr. Joel was his legal secretary. She was always available when I needed her.
However, I discovered after I purchased my condo that not only was I overcharged for his legal fees, but that he didn’t actually perform the services I paid for. I had to go to town hall to show the deed and put my name on file. I also had to pay outstanding bills from the previous owner. And when I received a notice that my property line was changing, I contacted Mr. Joel. All of the aforesaid should have come up in the title search and the owner knew about the change in property line (I found out from town hall when I saw all of the signed notices from the owner while she occupied the residence). When I asked Mr. Joel for assistance he said I couldn’t do anything, which was a complete farce! I hope that those who purchase a home and think about using these lawyers read my review because I don’t want anyone to go through what I went through
