Yan Zhang Clinic Ontario

First of all, I have nothing against Dr. Zhang per se, she is a nice internal doctor. The upside is the clinic is not busy, went there three times, no line at all, no appointments needed.
The downside of this clinic is that it does not have it’s own lab and Dr. Zhang is the only one available to do all the work she can. You will be asked to go to a third party for blood draw. My insurance covers everything if processed within the clinic, however, I was charged for the lab work at a «discount» price due to the lab work done out of the clinic, each test is about $ 50-​$ 80 after discount. I was asked to do 5 tests in 2 months seeing her.
If you are like me, who has PPO that does not pay for lab work done by third party (including specimen collected in house but sent to third party for processing), I do not recommend this clinic. Go somewhere who has in house lab or covers the lab expenses. Because you will be saving hundreds of dollars, time and more convenient care somewhere else. But if you have better insurance who pays for everything, then go where you want.
