Wee Care Learning Center

My son has been attending Wee Care for about 5 months now and it has been a great experience! He started out in the infant room because he wasn’t 2 yrs old yet and he quickly grew attached to Miss Sarah and Miss Ruby. During this time in the infant room he surprisingly learned a lot! He was counting up to 10 in both Spanish and Korean. Most importantly I really felt that his teachers took good care of him and had a genuine bond with my son! He’s now been in the 2 yr old class for a couple of weeks with Miss Doris and I can see he’s continuing to learn (colors, shapes, numbers, days of the week, etc.) and grow everyday! All of the staff are very warm and friendly. Wee Care has been a great choice for my family and I am a picky mom when it comes to my little one!

Wee Care Learning Center has been the best choice my husband and I have ever made in terms of childcare. It is clear to me that each teacher at this site loves each child and works hard to help foster their social and academic development. As an educator myself, I was very picky about which daycare to choose from. I am so happy that Wee Care took my daughter in. The ladies at this facility are very focused on giving my daughter the individualized attention she needs. They have clear communication with me and we are always on the same page as far as her cognitive development goes. At 20 months, my daughter loves to sing, count, say the alphabet, and even read certain words thanks to the reinforcement she receives at Wee Care Learning Center. We love Wee Care Learning Center!

My son has been attending Wee Care for about 6 months (since he was 16 months old). Being a first time mom, I was very nervous about sending him to daycare, and compared all the facilities in the area. We toured Wee Care and loved the staff and facility. My mom had reservations because of the negative Unilocal reviews, but my husband and I felt confident that this was a good place for our son, and I’m so glad we made the decision we did! The teachers there really care about the kids; whenever we walk in or leave, teachers from other classrooms great my son by name. My son, after going through his separation anxiety phase, is happy to be dropped off, and is always happy when I pick him up. My mother, after visiting the center for herself, is now in love with it and the staff, and conceded that she’s happy we chose Wee Care because it’s such a wonderful place that really cares about the kids.

I have had my daughter at this school for a few months now and she loves it. I honestly can’t relate to any of the bad reviews. I am very involved as a parent and my experience with the teachers has been excellent. They are very professional and make me feel confident when I drop Allie off that I am leaving her in good hands. I have and will continue to recommend this place to friends and family.

This place used to be good when the director mrs. K ran the place. She made sure the employees followed the proper care for the kids. But sadly around October of 2013 she left and gave my gf inside info that she didn’t like the changes that we’re going to happen soon. Ever since then, we saw what she meant. The turnover of employees started to be frequent and that is a bad sign in any day care center. It means employees are being mistreated and unhappy and this usually trickles down to how the kids are treated. Within the last few weeks the turnover of workers have really increased. My 2yr old son has been showing signs of stress according to the pediatrician with him starting to bite the other children as a way for him to express his neglect. Over the last few weeks also he has been coming home dirty from playing outside meaning he wasn’t being cleaned after play. A few times recently also he has been picked up with pampers full of pee and smelling like poop meaning he hasn’t been changed. When mrs. K was there she made sure kids didn’t go home dirty and diapers were changed before they left! I finally gave them my 2 weeks notice to remove my son and this was Monday of the last week of leaving him there and they had the nerve to suspend my son for three days for biting another kid on his last week. How convenient! Make me pay for a full week and then watch my son for only two. So what did I do? I pulled his belongings out and told the owner that this is his last day. I left a check for the prorated price for one day and she had the nerve to call me to tell me that the rate for one full day was $ 95 after he was there for only three hours before he was picked up! This shows the owner’s agenda of just wanting the money and not caring about children! PARENTS BEWARE NOT TO SEND YOUR CHILD HERE WHEN THE EMPLOYEES RUN THE PLACE AND THERE IS NO MANAGEMENT TO OVERSEE WHAT GOES ON! The owner shows up supposedly for a few hours and leaves. Is this safe? YOUR CHILDREN ARE AT RISK PEOPLE.

It’s unfortunate about the bad review but I can personally say for my children this is and will always be the best daycare center they have ever been to. The only reason why I didn’t give 5 stars is because it was very expensive but honestly it was worth the price. If I still lived in the area, I would be back there in a heart beat. My children never had any problems, never came home swearing or with bad behavior. In fact they learned very good manners. My youngest son found a passion in arts and crafts which they did every day. I really wish I could have them attend again. It was so good that we tried so hard to buy a house in the area just to have them continue going there. I highly recommend to anyone.

my daughter has been going to Wee Care Learning Center for a few months, and i can say that this school has been the best at dealing with any issue i have had as a parent with situation that i may have thought needed attention. My daughter has been through several day care preschool, becuase i care very much about my duaghter care and education i hadn’t found a day care like wee care learning center that really cares about every area of my child life, socially and academically. i am a single parent and have state aide for my daughter, my daughter is a awesome child and aide has nothing to do with who a child is, so the comment made by the previous parent was very uncalled for. children often learn from home, so wheather it be postive or negative, it is us as a parent who have to continue to teach them how to deal with everyday life situations. this world is not a perfect world and in it will always be nice and not so nice people. It is how we handle the situations that make the diffence in there lives. Yes it helps when their environmentis problem free. That seriously would be like putting our children in a bubble. this is the reason why we have so many adult children living at home still. they are not taught how deal with everyday situations, i recommend this school very much becuase the director cares very much about the children and there success in life and also cares about helping the staff learn better ways to help our children

I don’t recommend this school.
I had a bad feeling from the moment I came in that first Monday morning and the kids were swarming while the ONE and only ONE teacher look frazzled and irritated… No one seems like they remotely care about the kids here. The staff looks unprofessional with the exception of the ‘Dean’ who is a very stern woman with a high regard for curriculum. Which is good, just not good enough. This school exposed my son to foul language and awful gestures that we as parents did not appreciate.

My son was bullied for his long curly hair and was called a girl repeatedly by the kids. We were NEVERinformed of this by the teachers by the way, Lack of supervision or just lack of concern? I dont know.
He was always happy with himself until one day when he was upset and told us he wanted to cut his hair. He had always thought of himself as Samson from the Bible and now he was ashamed? Talk about a heartbroken mom. When we brought this up to the teacher she said «Well, maybe if he got a haircut the kids would take him more seriously.»
WHAT. Wow, bully yourself I see. Hey, just a thought– why don’t you take this oppportunity to address the class about bullying and how it’s an inapporpriate behavior? — I guess that would’t strike as a good idea tho, not when the teacher seems to have ZERO regard for morale.
Yes, I know bullying is something to expect in a public school, but for $ 150 a week I expect a tad bit more.i.e. get a grip on the children’s mouths please!

I walked up one day to see one boy choking another and throwing sand in the face of the poor poor kid WHILE being choked, while the «Teachers» sat there chatting away.
I was then told that MY son «Was playing too roughly with another individual and thats why he had to miss freeplay». I said «So tell me is ‘Paul’ (alias name, for sake of parents’ embarassment) in touble for choking that boy there? Do you know if maybe they have been horseplaying all day?» (What I wanted to say is that I know where he learned the behavior!!)
«He was not, we would have seen that.» Right. Not very thourough in keeping the kids in line at all. They are neglected and screaming for an adults attention.

I also assume thats why when one of the 5 years old screams out loud «Hey, LOSER!» to my husband and child the teachers turn a blind eye and just laughs it off. I get it: you have some trouble makers there — DISCIPLINE them, don’t act like they are a lost cause! Also please make sure to have the“teachers” have actually gone through courses for child development or at least are brushed up on some courses forgrammer. «Askeded» is not a word. And it’s ‘he «doesn’t «have problems with school work.’ Not ‘he don’t have problems with school work. ‘
I can go on for pages about the standard, or lack therof, of the staff hired there, but for now I will say this. Convenience in terms of location is NEVER more important than the child. This was my sons 3^rd experience in a daycare/​preshool and it was the first and last time I have ever had a bad report regarding his language or behavior.
If I wanted this kind of school for my child I would have gone to Headstart and taken the FREE route. BUT I thought to myself «My child is much too important to me than that.» Solly me, i should have went with my gut instinct. I later found out more than half of the kids there are state funded… um, explains a lot. It IS a glorified Headstart. I still wonder WHERE did all my money go? Definitely not on the curriculum, crafts or playground. Just awfully managed. Im the third on my block that says they have had to remove their child/​granchild.
3 months after enrollment (and TWO registration fees! WTH?) and about $ 2500 later I finally took my son out. Since then he has been back to his normal sweet, intelligent and mannered self.
