Sunshine Growers Nursery

Was very impressed with the size of this nursery and the variety of plants they offer. They take you around with golf carts to help you pick up plants. Everyone working there is so nice and helpful. My mom has been a customer of theirs for years and I am a new customer as of today!

We purchased from them a few weeks back. For being «wholesale» they didn’t give me a good deal on their plants. I have been in the wholesale nursery business for years and if someone is buying wholesale, you would expect a decent discount not 4 cents off each flat! The guy made it seem like he was giving me a great deal by saying,” for you I can do 9.96. (lol) Their regular price is 9.99!!!
Today, I called inquiring about poinsettias, (looking to buy 200 plants) and the guy was so rude and said that he couldn’t have someone count their availability. I’m sorry but this is your job, a business! You should know your inventory and if not, have someone go check. He totally blew me off and said I had to go in and see what they had available. I explained I didn’t live in the area and he didn’t care.
I am not about to drive 2 hours to go «check» if they have any. Very rude and unprofessional.
As a business owner, I would never treat a customer in the way that he did! I will not be recommending anyone to this nursery nor will I ever purchase from them again.

First off, this place has a humongous selection of plants. I came here for specific fruit trees, which they had. Unfortunately, of the 3 fruit trees I purchased, 2 have died (Granny Smith Apple and European Pear), and 1 (valencia orange) has failed to thrive. I purchased 45 fruit trees from various local nurseries to plant my orchard, and of the 5 that have failed, 3 have been from Sunshine.
In my estimation, their fruit trees are less protected from harsh element like wind and sun/​heat, which may beat up on them more than at other nurseries. Nearly all of my deciduous trees are from Dave Wilson Nursery, but those I purchased here have struggled.
The extra star is because I found the employees to be very helpful and willing to engage in discussion about my orchard, and answering questions I had.

The place is huge and has a great selection. The downside: half of the plants that we bought died in less than a month. We followed their advice on what soil amendments to use and how to transplant and water the new plants, however all of the plants died.
To add insult to injury, we paid $ 75 for an avocado plant that literally died in 3 days but Sunshine Growers would not refund or give us a new plant.
So if you’d like to waste money, then buy their plants and their products to help grow the plant and then watch all of them die, please go to Sunshine Growers.

Well this Sunshine nursery has a lot of nice plants. However most of the plants they have sit there with no price therefore they are losing a lot of money. My intentions were to go there and buy all my plants for my new house but ended up buying nothing. You are losing a lot
of customers. You might want to put signs up with prices.
The employees are not very helpful or friendly, when you need help no one around to ask for
help.

We have travelled almost a hour drive to Sunshine Nursery several times over the past couple of years. There prices are great but the service is terrible. They are disorganized and mislabel their plant prices and descriptions. When we asked for a color (the plant was not blooming) they said it was red. When it bloomed pink months later they stated they have a 10 day return policy, regardless of their misinformation. Eventually (after much hassling) they replaced with the proper plant, but reminded us of the 10 day return policy for next time. It cost them nothing to exchange the plant while the hassle to me was troublesome. The women are always very rude (especially the blonde). An older gentleman is much better but he is not in charge. They would benefit greatly and have a better business with some organization and customer service respect.

I think I’ve hit the jackpot this is the hugest Nursery I’ve seen ever. They are wholesale but they’re open to the public. They have a lot of organic fertilizers. Not everything is priced but they do have a price book that they give you for free. They said they are 17 acres I can’t believe it. Ifyou do go I recommend some good shoes and a big sun hat my new favorite place to shop for plants

Since I am sitting here waiting for my load to be delivered I suppose I have time to write a review.
I ordered 7 yards on Tuesday and was told wait till Saturday morning because it is going to rain till Friday. Well stick to selling dirt because we didn’t get a drop of rain. He promised we would be the 1^st delivery Saturday morning at 730 so I had my crew here bright and early on a weekend.
I called sunshine growers around 8 when the delivery was late and they said I was bumped to #3 delivery and they would call me when it’s my turn.
Sooooo I am paying for a crew to stand here and wait for these idiots to drop off the load whenever they get to it hmmmmm.
Plus the $$ was out of my account Wednesday it isn’t even c.o.d.
Now I’m almost a week behind schedule and I’m losing money as we speak.
Thanks sunshine growers I love spending my Saturday in the front yard doing nothing.

I have been shopping at Sunshine Growers for the past 15 years. It’s a great nursery with a wide variety of seasonal plants that thrive in the area. The plants are well tended and healthy. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and will find the answers to my questions if they don’t know them. Prices are much better than other stores. I highly recommend shopping here!

I really like this place too! But please be aware that they have these ticks on the premises! If you know anyone that has been here, please read the symptoms of LYME DISEASE! Please contact me if you know anyone that has gotten ill after walking through this place. I WAS LUCKY FINDING MY TICK IN MY SCALP. please contact me if you are symptomatic and you believe you have lyme disease from this place.

Nice little nursery tucked away and secluded. Great prices and offer a variety of herbs, fruit and veggie plants, trees and roses. They’ve got great (cheap prices) and lots of planters, trellises and decorative pieces. Love the nursery every time I go however I’m always ignored or maybe they are just to busy to bother. There is the ONE lady that is always working that actually is very nice and attentive. All in all, great place.

For such a little nursery tucked, way out of the way… they sure do have a lot of nice plants. All their plants are nice and healthy and their service here is excellent

I was expecting more of a variety from what people had told me about this place. We didn’t end up buying anything because we were looking for something specific. The staff very extremely nice though.

Fantastic staff. I teach photography on a high school level and this business totally accommodated me and supplied me plants free of charge for my students to photograph. They have a large selection and I was impressed.

Went today and got just what I was looking for, got a great price. Got the cart ride and very happy with the service!

The worst nursery ever! The customer service awefull, and their plants die quickly. Their sod is diseased, and their plants don’t last long. They should be rated as the worst nursery ever. They do not help people with disabilities.

This was my first time to Sunshine Growers and it was a very pleasant experience. The nursery is very large and due to the organization of plants and trees it’s very easy to find anything you may want to design your garden or yard. The variety is impressive. The staff was so helpful with tips and information, as we are novice when it comes to planting. Thank you to Mark, Shelly, Mike and Pedro. We have more plants to buy to complete our design and we will definitely return. Oh, did I say how reasonable the pricing is? Well, they are very reasonable, which means a lot for quality.

My favorite place to go to buy flowers, herbs, and vegetables. The staff are very friendly and know a lot about flowers and growing vegetables.

This nursery has started getting better over the last year or so. The first time I went in about 2 years ago I would have to say they were less then friendly. I have been in about six times over the last six months and things seem to have turned around. They were very helpful. One man in particular older guy, said lives locally and was able to share a great deal of information about his fruit tree experiences with me. Every employee I have talked to about issues or wanting information were spot on with knowledge.
Speaking of fruit trees, they offer the best line in fruit trees from Dave Wilson Nursery. DWN fruit trees are simply the best. Sunshine offers a huge selection of every variety of tree. Do yourself a big favor, if you are going to buy a fruit tree, buy a DWN tree from Sunshine. You may find the tree a little cheaper at the big orange box store up the street but they aren’t of the best quality. So you get a guarantee but I want by tree to grow and produce fruit so the time wasted waiting for something to grow sometimes close to a year isn’t worth it.
Sunshine also has a great select of high quality fertilizers and mulch. They also have a large selection of plants and fountains.
If you want a nursery with a smart people who can answer your questions without guessing this is your place.
