New Happy Day Spa

The masseuse are great.

Very basic massage location. Ambiance is bland but very clean. I’ve been here since they opened and use to be a regular when they were new and the masseuses were serious about giving great massages. Every time I come there’s always a different experience, in regards to the recent massages. One time I had the masseuse speaking during 10 minutes of my massage and another time I had a great quiet relaxing massage from a masseuse who knew exactly what she was doing. My private body massages are almost a guarantee it won’t be a good massage, for some reason. But the foot massages are a hit and miss.

I’ve literally been trying reach out to them to set up an appt. and they wont pick up the phone! I got a voucher as a gift from Groupon and it clearly says I have to make an appt. I’m trying to call to do so and NOTHING. The way this is starting out already makes me think this place is under bad management. Horrible first impression and very frustrating! I have yet to go in person but I’m already not looking foward to it. So unprofessional.

Found this place on groupon and went there on a whim with my fiancé. We both needed massages and bought the combo foot massages and back massages. The foot massage was great and I felt very relaxed. Then the massage came… it was literally one of the worst I have ever had! The lady who massaged me literally just rubbed my body up and down with a ton of cold oil, there was no real massage happening, except at my neck and shoulders which hurt! I was grimacing in pain and almost asked her to stop. Also the face holes on the massage beds are much smaller than a standard one and I had trouble breathing. This is an Asian spa with all Asian personnel, and they even have signs up that state they do not offer happy endings, which was sort of funny to see this hanging on the wall in the massage room. Pros: the front desk guy was friendly (although they made us pay before the massage) and they accommodated us on the same day. My fiancé enjoyed his massage, which was good since mine was so awful:/ Lesson learned.

Today was a good visit. Minimal cross talk between employees – it was quiet and relaxing!
Amy was not as experienced as the prior régime’s masseurs, but she made up for it in enthusiasm and energy. She didn’t use her elbows, but had powerful control with her thumbs and knuckles. Amy could reestablish New Happy Day as a destination Spa!

Came here with a Groupon and I liked that the spa was very nice and we’ll kept. I really loved the massage.

Called to ask if they sell gift cards, and the guy who answered had no idea what the heck i was talking about. He just kept saying «come here.alright.alright.happy day spa» over and over until i just hung up. They should really hire someone who can better communicate with their customers.

My first time here… NEVER AGAIN! First of all. Very minimal English… The older man «receptionist» was talking to someone on the phone «client» who was asking if they found her necklace… (I could here her perfectly) he kept saying. (I give you free! Just come.) she kept on repeating. No, my necklace. He said: you come, we talk more. OMG. And they talk in their language amongst themselves as they are working on your feet!!! I felt like I was in one of those Nail salons where they talk about you in their language. As my middle age male comes to massage my temples and sinuses… His hands smelled like Cigarettes!!! He was burping in his mouth!!! It was just disgusting!!! His massage was not bad… At the end. I decided to tip him only $ 5! He grabbed the tip holder turns his back on me, sees the money, puts it in his pocket and gives me this STARE!!! I was like… WTH!!! I had already paid my fee! NEVER AGAIN… Will go to an English speaking SPA from now on. At least I would understand if they are talking about me!

I asked the masseuse to not be so hard because he was hurting me and he insisted that it was to get the knots out. I cried through the whole thing because he was hurting me. I left with scratch marks all over my back and my back is so sore I can barely move. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

I went today and thought the place was quite clean a bit dark where they do foot massage but the full body was nice but I know tomorrow I will be sore! I did ask for a woman and got a male but I just went with it and it wasn’t so bad
I also used groupon and left a tip
I will return again maybe with my hubby next time

Tonight was the last straw. I have been going here since it opened and have been patient with the new ownership. Ever since the business changed hands I have noticed the masseuses reeking of cigarettes. I have asked for hot stones, been charged. No hot stones… and when I asked about it the response was «next time»
Tonight the owners must have been continuing their fight from the review posted yesterday. It was heated… awkward
Anyway, I asked for medium pressure as usual and feel like I just went through a horrible beating. It was one of the most intensely uncomfortable, painful, miserable experiences i’ve ever had. During the back massage portion I kept
Saying «ouch,» or «too hard». Nothing. At one point I moved my arm up over my ribs and it was pushed back down. Tears streamed down my face when I finally sat up said «you are hurting me» the response «ok lady lay down.» It got worse. I had to leave and I will NEVER return.
So disappointed, I used to love this place.

Very unusual experience. When I arrived, two of the employees (owners?) were in a screaming match with each other in a language I did not recognize. They were nice to me, but they continued screaming at each other throughout the first part of my massage (I could hear them through the wall). It made me tense and uncomfortable, and it took a while for the effect of the screaming to wear off. I tried to ask the person administering the massage to ask them to keep it down, but she did not understand English. Instead, she dimmed the lights.
I would rate the quality of the massage as a little below average. It was uncomfortable in the beginning, and I was afraid at first that I would be sorely disappointed (pun intended); however, the quality improved, and I was pleased that they worked on me for the full allotted time – some places end a few minutes early, which makes me feel ripped off. I ultimately left feeling relaxed, which was what I was going for, but next time I will go somewhere else.

I feel lighter and flexible again! Tip: stick with the masseuse you love, don’t let the front people sway you from trying someone new. I learned it the hard way-​twice.

I asked for my massage to be medium intensity and it was way too hard. Also, my (male) masseuse not only massaged my butt inappropriately but he actually grabbed it. At least 5 times. As for my feet, it wasn’t hard enough and was more ticklish frustrating me even more. Definitely not relaxing and wouldn’t send any friends here.

I’ve been here like 4 times. Favorite thing about it all is the price. So inexpensive. The experience is relaxing and soothing. I go there for foot massages. They get the work done.

Unlike those smelly places in Alhambra. This place is neat and the massage is so good! Just cross street from the Outlets.

I purchased a 60 minute massage and a 30 minute Reflexology through Living Social. The price was great as were the services. The Spa was very clean. I felt comfortable and appreciated.
I was a little concerned because I also saw the same posed sign as Leslie-​Ann D. did. It makes me wonder if truckers visiting the Ontario truck stops pop into the New Happy Day Spa looking for more or why they feel the need to have such a sign.
I had «Lisa» do both of my services. She was great. The pressure was good and she worked out any kinks I had when I walked in the door. I left relaxed and refreshed.
I hope to return to the New Happy Day Spa again soon.

I have read the previous comments and want to share my experience with those considering this location. place was clean and nice… but as another customer has mentioned they spoke in their language and giggled the whole time. Massage was standard nothing spectacular. I have been to nicer ones locally… do some research for the best experience for you.

HORRIBLE. Stay awaaaaay from here. THEY BEG YOU FOR A TIP.
They are completely rude and unprofessional. If they have to beg you, then I would say they need to raise prices.
I’m all about tipping nicely, especially if I’ve had a nice experience. But how dare you ask me for a tip before the massage even happens! I was disgusted the whole time and can’t believe the nerve of them.
I payed the extra $ 3 for hot stones and my girlfriend didn’t even get them!
Even while I was leaving, 4 or 5 of the ladies kept harassing me and getting louder with me about the damn tip! I honestly felt uncomfortable and was waiting for a fight to go down.

Bought a deal off living social for an hour hot stone plus 30 min foot reflexology. I was thoroughly impressed with the set up and how the shop looked. Clean and modern.
Front receptionists were very sweet and welcoming and friendly. We barely had to wait before we were called to the back. Probably cus we were the first ones there this morning.
Foot massage was first. They soak your feet in a ginseng mixture while you lay on your back. They perform a nice head and shoulder massage while the soaking takes place. Then after about 5ish minutes they massage your feet ankles and calves. By far the best foot massage I’ve ever had. Most places I go are either too soft where I end up just getting really ticklish or too hard where I want to cry. Jin my masseuse was fantastic and massaged with perfect pressure.
Now to the hot stone massage. Jin worked my entire backside down to my ankles with perfect pressure and really got all my knots. Checked with me a couple times to make sure she wasn’t hurting me but she was so great I told her to just do her thing. When she brought out the hot stones she made sure they weren’t too hot. I had to tell her several times that they were fine but she noticed my back was very red so she was afraid to burn me n damage my skin — I thought that attention to detail was really considerate on her part and appreciated it.
She ended the massage and had me feeling super relaxed. Went outside to tip and found a cup of ice cold water waiting for me. The receptionist did try to sell me a 10-​ticket massage packet which I turned down but I do think I’ll be back in the future.
