My last review was a lie… Just like the stuff you guys promised to give me to leave that review… Terrible customer service here and a bunch of liars

Went in to trade in a BMW 3 Series and buy a Countryman. Roy Beach was awesome. All questions answered and got a sweet deal. Not pushy and was able to handle any/​all questions/​hitches that came up. Drove off the lot in no time. I had heard the service was amazing but was so happy it was true.

Came in to check out the Mini Countryman. Sales person Monica helped us out. I have to say from first contact I felt like she wasn’t going to be such a pressure sales dealer, which is definitely a plus for us. We made a decision to purchase a countryman in between the dealing we met with Jaime after a very short haggle and he made it short and direct playing zero games. We got a sweet deal that included EVERYTHING! Even the finance guy Matt got us an even better deal which also includes all the warranty and maintenance. So when you’re coming in to shop you can ask for Monica, Jaime and Matt in finance to deal with you through the process. They’ll take great care of you guys! I usually only post if the service was excellent and/​or terrible. In this case the service and experience was outstanding. Thanks Mini of Ontario! You saved my marriage. ;)

Roy Beach worked with me and exceeded my expectations to get me into the exact vehicle I desired. The process was quick and painless. I have been to many dealerships and this one by far, was an enjoyable experience (which is how it should be when purchasing a vehicle). I highly recommend this dealership, and when you go, ask for Roy! He will definitely take care of you!

I recently had my car totaled and was in need of a car. It was tuff between Jeep and Mini, but Seller Stormy did a way better job of selling me a car than any of the several dealers I went to did. They really made my purchase for a brand new car smooth.
In regard to the other people writing bad reviews recently, 1 don’t lease a car because no part of it is yours. No one has to explain how simple that is. 2, don’t buy a used car from any make that can be expensive to fix. That simple as well. Want used? Go with Toyota or Honda. Every brand has it’s bad apples. Take care of it, get some warranties. BE A SMART BUYER!

The dealer gives you two options to become the owner of a new car, buy or lease. Explaining the differences and make it sound so beneficial to lease a car. We are at the end of our lease after 3 years. We did drive to the dealer to get the pre-​inspection. The car is in EXCELLENT and well maintained condition… no accidents, no big scratches, only the small scratches you get from driving on LA freeways. The only think that really has to be replaced are the front tires and 6k miles over the 30k they gave us for 3 years (not even 12k per year as it is absolutely NORMAL in the market).
The guy who inspected the car was clearly making an effort to find things and make things look bad. He was running around the car throwing out prices like $ 400 for the tires, $ 200 for a bumper scratch because they would have to take off the whole bumper when the scratch is too deep. The scratch is a joke and the guy just kept throwing out numbers…
He was also making an excellent looking car look like we return a piece of junk to get the most $ out of it for the dealer. At the end we were at a few thousand dollars for miles, tires and all the stuff he clearly was making up.
After we complaint about the cost and what the dealer found as reasonable to charge for minor wear & tear, they lowered the price to $ 2300! That is ridicules and clearly a rip off for a lease. They make money EVERY month, get the car back, and try to get the most out of you.
Horrible customer service and bad attitude.
We leased a car, that means paying every month a fee to USE a car and not to own it.
When you return it to THIS DEALER, they really make sure to make money out of you and make it look like you cannot have ANY wear & tear on it.

Today I finally got rid of my Mini Cooper and I must say having this car was a nightmare. I purchased this car at Mini of Ontario in 2013 «preowned-​certified» and for the three years I had it, it was constantly breaking down. I finally traded it in because it needed a third engine since I had already replaced it twice at this Mini dealer. The last time I came in I asked for the entire vehicle history and I came to find out this car was breaking down every 4,000 miles even before I purchased it. Mini of Ontario knew this all along and didn’t care for me, their customer, all they care about is money, I still don’t understand how they certified this vehicle with the prior history it had.
When I tried complaining or atleast looking for help or options they just referred me to their parent company BMW North America and let me tell you, they don’t care about their customers either and they DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT, they basically tell you they are not responsible or liable for anything and that you are out of luck. I will never in my life buy another Mini Cooper or BMW and I would never return to this dealer or recommend it because they are not an honest company. I am glad to finally take my business elsewhere.

My car was having a difficult time starting up especially when the weather was cold. I brought my car to Mini of Monrovia and I told them something was probably wrong with the spark plug since last time the exact same thing happened and Mini of Ontario fixed it with changing the spark plug. I left my car there for 2 days and had pay out of my own pocket for car rental for 2 days since they don’t have a loaner at that time. Yet in the end they told me nothing was wrong with my car and the computer did not detect any problems.
Then I took my car to Mini of ONTARIO, they found the exact problem that I was talking about and they offered me a free car to drive. My car got fixed and I didn’t have to spend extra money to pay for car rental. Oscar was my service advisor and he was polite and professional.
Dear mini drivers, I really recommend mini of Ontario. Even though it might be a little far for you, but they offer free car rental through enterprise if they run out of loaners. Their employees are more friendly than Mini of Monrovia too.

The service department ROCKS! Miguel, Rosa and the team are all extremely nice and professional. I was able to get my car in the same day, which was a nice surprise. Everything was completed within 2 hours, which was nice since I opted to wait. When I inquired about places nearby for lunch, Miguel provided a ride to a yummy little place nearby by one of his coworkers. All I had to do when done was call for a ride back. All in all, I very much appreciated how nice everyone was to me. They all made what is usually a long and boring task quite pleasant.

Loved buying my car here from Stormy! So nice and comfortable. My first car purchase and when the day came to pick it up, I was literally UNVEILED to me! So cute and such a nice touch!
Now, 4 years later, out of warranty, trying to get some information on work that was done to my car while under warranty, no call back. Left a message talked to people the day before and I can’t even get a call back. I just want an email on what was done. I have the paperwork somewhere of course but I should be able to get it from the dealer!
Service center is definitely lagging.

Roy was our sales person and we felt he deserves a generous Unilocal review. My wife and I knew we wanted a mini but weren’t expecting such a pleasant buying experience. Roy made us feel comfortable, welcome and like we knew him for years. Plus he got us a smokin’ deal on a 4 door.

This is my second purchase from this dealership and they are just an amazing team!
Pablo Hsu was my sales advisor and he definitely went above and beyond for us. He didn’t approach us like a vulture looking to take our money (like in other dealerships), he was very accommodating, offered us water and snacks while we waited and was overall incredibly helpful. He worked with us all day to try and negotiate a good price for my car — he definitely cared and pushed for us! Even after the deal was made, he was kind enough to help us transfer my stuff from my old car to the new one!

This review is for the sales department. I have purchased seven cars in my life. Never have I paid sticker for them. All different makes and models from Toyota to GM to Hyundai.
Note to potential car buyers. The «invoice» is nowhere near what the dealer actually paid for the car. That is an industry invented number because they have to publish something. Check Kelly Blue Book for invoice costs. Never pay sticker.
The sales staff was professional but their approach is to bully you into paying sticker (which is still going to be $ 2−4k more than sticker when you add in the taxes, fees, etc). We wasted over three hours trying to negotiate with them. Here is what it will look like for you:
YOU: I’d like to negotiate somewhere between invoice and sticker. How about sell at invoice [NOTE: This is about $ 1,500−2,500 on average for MINI].
THEM: These cars sell themselves. You will pay sticker.
YOU: How about $ 1,500 below sticker?
THEM: These cars sell themselves. Come on, it’s just money (actual quote from the sales manager). You pay sticker.
YOU: Come on, I’d like to think that you are willing to negotiate with me. How about $ 1,000 below sticker?
THEM: We might take off a couple hundred, but we don’t take off thousands. You pay sticker.
So I walked out. Went over to MINI of Monrovia and bought a far better MINI (premium stereo, moonroof, etc.) than the one that had been sitting on their lot for months (remember «these cars sell themselves») for several thousand less than what they were trying to push on me. MINI of Monrovia started negotiating at invoice, all negotiations were on «out the door» price, and we still paid about $ 900 below the sticker price. And that was the final «out the door» price which included tax, title, fees, etc.
I’ve since learned that MINI of Ontario is owned by Penske. That certainly explains things. There is no other corporate entity so money hungry, ruthless, abusive to its employees, and mean as Penske. All of their affiliates are forced to follow the «Penske line» which is to grab as much as they can from customers and keep costs as low as possible through complete lack of service, follow through, and abusing their employees. I feel sad for the workers at MINI of Ontario but have no problem taking my business elsewhere.

I was really happy with my experience at Mini of Ontario back in 2010 when I bought my car (as evidenced by my previously glowing review), but ever since they changed ownership to Penske I feel like things have gone downhill.
First of all you can expect to wait a minimum of 30 minutes to get your car checked in for service. Despite always having appointments, there have been times when I waited an hour! What is the point of even having appointments? Second, they don’t even call you when your car is ready to be picked up. I always have to call them to check if my car is ready because I haven’t heard anything and it’s almost closing time. Third, I don’t think the quality of their work is there. I took my car in for service and less than a month later, the service light is on again. Couldn’t they have done it all at once? Also, the overheating sign started coming on which was weird and when I checked the coolant it was practically empty. I took my car to another dealership (Bob Smith in Calabasas) and it turned out there was a leak which they fixed for me right away. On the plus side, I feel like they don’t really push a lot of unnecessary extras on you which is nice.
Now that I’ve experienced better, I just don’t know if I can go back.

This review is for the Service Dept. only. As I didn’t buy my car through them, I do not know how the sales staff is.
I went there two weeks ago, and I must say that I am completely blown away by the awesome service the service dept. has provided. From the time of me making my appointment online, to receiving the follow up phone call, everything was a breeze.
I showed up with my car and was greeted by someone right away, I was instructed to go inside, grab a drink/​snack and relax until my service advisor called my name.
Mike «the bear» was my advisor and he was very pleasant to deal with. He was very patient and answered all my questions and addressed every concern.
I seriously wished that I could take ALL my cars here. Yes, they are that good. I would recommend them to anyone. Five stars!

$ 163 diagnose nothing shows up on the computer so they take my car to a car wash and return it to me and it was clean car anyway. made me to believe that they were going to hand wash my car and instead they took it down the block to the carwash they didn’t have my permission to do that either terrible service terrible, I don’t run my BMW through a mechanical car wash.
They were diagnosed in my car for transmission default signal and you see what I got the car wash
I think if you don’t find anything wrong with my car. I shouldn’t have to pay $ 163 that’s ridiculous maybe a $ 45 labor fee.
