Camden Landmark

After spending months looking for a new place to call home, I finally landed here at Camden Landmark. Overall, my experience has been wonderful and I am glad to call this place home.
The entire staff, including maintenance, have always been extremely helpful and responsive. Yes, issues may arise every now and then (there are nearly 700 residents here, and over 400 units), but when they do, I have found Robert, Kevin, Isabel, Mindy, Martin and Paul all to be ready and willing to listen to my issue and take whatever steps necessary to find a practical solution.
The apartment itself is beautiful — high ceilings, lots of windows, a large balcony, and a very spacious living area. I looked at multiple different complexes, and this place by far had the best layout and use of space. The common space in the community is kept clean and maintained, and the pool and gym areas are nice amenities to have.
As for some of the safety concerns some folks may have, I personally have not witnessed any police or criminal activity, and feel safe walking around day or night.
Also a huge plus that they accept large breed dogs!

I moved here from Redlands a year and a half ago and wanted to give praise. My apartment is cute and spacious. I have a one car garage that leads straight up the stairs to my apartment. The on-​site gym is a plus. The office and maintenance staff are always friendly and helpful. Whenever I go to the office, I am greeted and immediately helped. Thank you for making my experience a good one!

I give Camden three stars for my overall experience so far. I have to say when moving in my unit the carpet had a few stains, when bringing this to the managers attention they had maintenance come out and all the workers did was use an clothing iron and spray to remove just that one stain, which did not work that well (a little bit) and was noted for records. Come to find out neighbors had the same kind of problem and the office had their entire carpet replaced, this was very disappointing. Parking is more of a hassle over the weekends and after 5 during the week. The stairways are pretty dirty looking always, homecoming is a lot better at keeping their concrete clean and pressure washed. It almost appears as if they try to keep the most noticeable areas of the complex clean but not the parts you don’t see unless you already live here. The community is very friendly and I love how pet friendly it is here. The units are spacious and seem to be kept clean. Every morning their is a cleaning lady who pulls a loud trashcan on wheels around 8 a.m. Never fails. The coffee machine is kept right in the leasing office so you have no choice but to interact with the leasing staff even though you don’t really want to, just want your coffee rather than have to feel like you have to ask to walk past their leasing desk. Appearances are pretty nice, definitely a lot of flaws but overall it seems to be working ok. Don’t bother asking for relocation of your parking stall to a closer spot, staff pretty much tells you too bad. Not a horrible place to live, a lot of nice people just could be better managed.

Camden would like me to step into the office so they can tell me explain how they systematic bi weekly pressure wash the breezeways… so let’s add liars to this review. The breezeways and stairwells look like the projects and they have for days! I will say landscapers are great and ee picking up trash is efficient. The beautiful black topped parking lots track black ALL over carpeting, probably remove shoes always inside because carpets are ruined quickly because of it. I have already found new place to live and after so much police activity, including throat slashing in parking lot (at least Camden sent letter to tenants explaining that fiasco) we have decided almost 2000 is too much. We are breaking our lease and moving. Our family’s safety and cleanliness is way more important than Camden. Come in the eve on a Sun and check out how ghetto filthy one of the main attractions, gorgeous pool area can get. Bye Felicia

This is ridiculous! Getting home from work and no parking space available! Been waiting for hours now

I was amazed how this community treats their own tenants.
* Tow their own tenants vehicles without notifying, warning, don’t even have any notes on the ground where your car was parked*, at first I thought my car got stolen, called 911 noticed that my car was towed., what a joke! Your own community tows your own vehicles inside your community parking lot!!! Who does that!!!
Paid $ 450 for overnight towing parking fees, why, because they won’t let you get your car unless is at their convenient and they want you to pay more than you should, «they arrange the pickup time for you», you don’t get to decide when to pick up your car. I remember it was a Friday night, called and they made a pickup appt for 19:40, but it was 19:10 already no one can make it to the towing garage in 30 minutes, so I asked for a later appointment, was told there were no appts available until 1 AM but no guarantee if I can get my car or not, please call back after 12 midnight, be noted – over 12 midnight there’s $ 50 extra to original fees and they don’t open for weekends if I decide to get my car on Monday there is $ 50 extra per day., are you kidding me!!! I did call at 12:05 AM this time they told me only 4 AM appt is available, please call back after 3 AM… for real?! Make me wonder how much percentage does Camden Landmark get from every towing.

there is nothing wrong with this community. you have unhappy people that were never satisfied when they moved in. what they can do is move out. problem solved.
camden is a great place to live. if the unhappy people move out then this would be the second happiest place on earth, second to disneyland.

This was a huge mistake. Everyone is nice and helpful until you move in. Twice I could not get the garage door open, 3 ½ hours until the emergency maintenance came… I was very late to work. Whatever you do, don’t complain about your neighbors playing loud music, waking up your baby and rattling the dishes in your apartment. They will tell you to call security, but they do nothing. They don’t care, all they want is there money. The neighbors now taunts us and they will do and say nothing. Also, there are so many people and only one pool, so there is not much room to move.
After 6 months I could not take it and broke the lease. For the money you pay every month, it is not worth it. Save yourself the money and frustration.

I have been living here for about 8 months now and it has to be the worst place i have ever lived. When i moved in the walls were all chipped up and the office staff told me they can give me paint to paint myself. Then my dishwasher did not work and it took them 3 weeks to fix it. This should have been checked before we even moved in the apartment. I work nights and when I got off of work I had guys chase me though the parking lot screaming at me trying to attack me, my car was just broken into last night and I tell the office staff about what happens here and they tell me that is not their responsibility or problem. I have had to call the cops several times for fights going on in the parking lot. I can’t even take my daughter to the pool because everyone is drinking and playing beer pong, they act like its a pool in Vegas. This place is a joke if I were you I would not move in here.

Been living here 3 years. At first when it was Landmark only it was great! Rent was not so ridiculous. Repair guys were awsome… Now I pay 400 more with Camden company buying the property. I would expect more for more money. But they let in ghetto people. I pretty sure I seen 2 drug dealers. I pay more in order to avoid the hood. And noe they are coming here. My truck was stolen and the security was no where to be found !! I do not recommend anymore!

It’s been three weeks since my last review and they still have not powerwashed the disgusting staircase. In fact, to make matters worse, people that reside there that have grown weary and are now dumping trash at the bottom of the staircase and over the neighboring fence. I guess they are done looking at it. I’ve put in another «service request» and am would be lying if I said I had high hopes for any action.

Our friends live at one of the apartments here. Beautiful building, clean facility, pet friendly. Always parking when we visit.
Those with pets, pay more. why? Those who have kids, pay more too? Not trying to be a smart ass or anything, but I thought that’s odd. But, hey… I don’t live there. BUT… my friends who do, the wife loves her apartment. The husband, not so much.
I LOVE the apartment too. It’s so spacious! So cozy! With a cute balcony! If i ever downgrade from being a homeowner, into a smaller condo type of home, I wouldn’t mind living here.

Horrible, stay away — all Camden Properties I’ve lived at in California and Colorado have been a complete nightmare to deal with

Been leasing here a little over year. My experience has been interesting.
Pros-​Plenty of parking only times that parking can be issues is doing the holidays.
–Maintenance Crew professional and gets the job done in a timely matter.
–Nice pool
–Location is close to everything
–Apartment is modern a pretty spacious
Meh
Gym, elliptical and treadmill works fine but for weightlifting it wont be ideal. Cant really blame Camden apt for tenants mis– using machines and stealing weights
–After some crimes they have increase security. Not saying crimes have stopped but theirs only so much they can do.
Cons
–They require a 60 DAY NOTICE BEFORE MOVING OUT!
–Washer and dryer are complete garbage. Have to dry my cloths for 120mins (double use)
— BBQ area always broke or only one of them works. If i was you just assume you wont be able to use it. Especially doing the summer where your competing with 200+ ppl

From the first look this apartment looks great, but there are many small things that this place lacks. Customer service is very poor and the Jacuzzi is always cold or closed due to the fact that the office people are lazy to open it. People are always playing extremely loud and offensive music at the pool and smoking illegal substances. Crime rate is also very high.

I have been a resident for almost a year now, and I’m happy to say it is the best complex I’ve lived in. They have a resident daily digest that is sent out daily with communication from other residents, an excellent way to stay informed on daily events in the community. The office staff works hard to keep us all informed on events happening in the community, from local sports and fun events to unfortunate events that need to be said. The response to these events is the difference between a complex and a community. It is a true neighborhood where people care about each other. The units are new and kept-​up. I see pressure washing happening every week on every level and the stairs. The pool area is constantly renovated and clean, a clean gym that doesn’t smell bad, and the office has a business center for printing and computer needs which is a life-​saver if you are having an issue and need to get something done (not to mention free coffee, water and wifi). The entire staff is friendly and professional, not just the front office like most places. The maintenance crew will joke with you and Angel who works courtesy patrol at night makes me feel safe returning home late at night. If buying a home is not an option, I highly recommend this as an alternative to having a friendly neighborhood to call home.

The location of this property is terrific as it is close to shopping and freeways. I lived at this property for more than four years and experience 3 different owners/​management companies. Each management company was worse than the one prior. They used to do a great job of walking the property every day and keeping it clean and making needed repairs. In my last year, there was a balloon stuck about 5 feet high in a tree. It took five requests before someone finally removed it. It wasn’t unusual to see a dirty diaper or discarded fast food bags in the parking lot. By far, the two worst experiences I had was 1) when they entered my apartment without permission and 2) when there were several break-​ins and a tenant was mugged they didn’t tell us but did tell the apartment complex across the street. The entering without permission was a mistake by one of their staff, but when I tried to address it with the property manager, it was brushed off and turned back on me as if it was my fault. I had to email corporate who then had the assistant manager contact me. As for the second experience, several garages had been broken into and even the apartment adjacent to mine was broken into. A friend who lives in the complex across the street told me he had received a notice about the break ins and a mugging at Camden Landmark. We had not received anything so I called the complex across the street asking them what they had sent out and they confirmed what my friend had said. That sent a message that Camden Landmark was more concerned about the safety of tenants at another complex than they were about their own tenants. This all happened about the same time that they entered my apartment without permission. I no longer felt safe in this community and asked if they would be willing to transfer my lease to another property and was told that I would have to pay a higher rent if I changed property.
There is one girl in the office who is always friendly, but the rest do not follow her example. The maintenance guys are always friendly and helpful
I encourage you to read the other reviews as well as seriously consider another location before signing a lease here.

We have been here going on 3 years so far and things seem great on the outside. They’re painting the buildings, upgraded the color scheme in the pool, installed new TVs in the gym, even made a little internet/​computer room with multiple computers…
HOWEVER…
…I think this is all a ploy to cover up how ignorant these folks are at managing a complex. You make a cookie look nice on the outside but when you bake it with salt instead of sugar, you end up with a pretty pile of crappity crap and that is what this complex is.
I thought that they were bad before Camden took over but boy was I wrong. To save me the time typing and you reading, I will attempt to summarize the «saltiness» we’ve tasted over the years…
1. Parking is horrendous. No more movie nights with friends, babysitters coming to watch your kids at late hours, or friends just popping up to hang out for a while. They will be towed, no warning, no nothing…$ 300 done and gone.
2. Security is a joke, dude is a lanky security guard with a bright orange vest and a flash light. There have been muggings in the parking lot, stolen items from porches, and fire alarms going off like crazy.
3. The staff is clueless. They apologize endlessly but apologies don’t resolve problems, it just masks the fact that you can’t help and that you probably don’t know what you’re doing.
4. They allow gigantic campers to park there with no parking pass for several days, give everyone different color stickers to park in certain spots but no repercussions if those rules are violated but have the audacity to tow multiple vehicles with no parking pass without so much as a warning. Sounds backwards right? Well that’s how they like it.
There are good things about them, they do give free Keurig coffee to everyone in the office and they stock the printers in the computer room with paper, but the bad outweighs the good here especially when you factor in the cost of rent!
