Had the best vegetarian wrap ever, it tasted better than a cheesesteak. Definitely will visit and have again.

We stopped in today as a halfway point on a roadtrip after looking for something nearby on Unilocal to grab a quick bite. We didn’t realize they closed at 2pm and we walked in the door about 1:50. They were still welcoming and gracious. The food was served quickly and it was delicious. I ordered a pork loin sandwich and my husband had the ham and brie. We may stop in again on the way home

Multiple visits have always resulted in delighted taste buds and tummies! Breakfast or lunch, we have enjoyed everything we have had at Jane’s General Store Café… excellent fresh and delicious! If you like salads, you will be amazed at the size and quality of the ones here!

Quality food and a bright clean atmosphere. We met the owner, Janet, who has done a great job creating a diverse menu with quality ingredients. There was an impressive list of specials, including my selection of the ham, Brie cheese, granny Apple, and Dijon mustard sand which on a toasted roll. The roll itself was worth the whole sandwich. Their iced tea is fresh brewed. This is a perfect stop for breakfast or lunch when driving through the area. If you are driving through, drive a few blocks further down and see the waterfront. Also, I noticed an Onley Creamery by the highway on our way back… it looked worth checking out, but I didn’t have time.

This is the freshest food in town! Affordable, adorable, and so yummy. From huge salads, to sandwiches. To the best veggie wrap I ever had!

Absolutely the best breakfast and lunch food on the shore. Homemade items from fresh ingredients. NOT like most places locally that throw diner style food at you. Janet is not a big talker most of the time and we joke that she«throws the food at you», but that’s just her way! That gal knows how to cook, and how to run a restaurant. It’s also decorated adorably. Only open til 2:30 though! I recommend this place to everyone. Don’t waste your time anywhere else. If you want fresh food, go here!

This is a very good local café. I tried both the Cuban and roast beaf sandwich. Both were some of the best I ever had. Delicious, soft, fresh bread. Delicious clam chowder. Top notch hospitality. Friendly staff and patrons. This is a true gem and a great spot for lunch.

I had a Belgian waffle — yum! Cooked well and very tasty. It’s a cute little place, too.
