Tuffy Tire & Auto Service Center

Just found out that we had a fraudulent credit card charge typed in by someone at Tuffy. We haven’t been there in months, and are now in the process of disputing a $ 496.29 claim. Very disappointed in this behavior and are looking into involving the police.

I took my car in for a routine oil change to the location near 183^rd St and West Center Road. As advertised… the oil change should have included check of basic fluids and tire rotation. Four days later here in Omaha we had a hard freeze. I discovered that my windshield fluid was completely dry (and of course since it was during a winter storm this proved to be a big problem for me as thick salt and grime covered my windshield). About that time I recalled that when I asked if my tires were rotated as the mechanic returned my keys… he informed me that he had decided that tire rotation was not needed (but he did not ask me and led me to assume the complete service was done). I returned to this Tuffy location and spoke with the manager about my concerns… he was very glib and did not offer any apology. I told him that I was not satisfied and he finally agreed to provide wiper fluid. I sent a detailed email to the Tuffy corporation via their website but received no reply or return telephone call. My advice… stay away!

This is the kind of place that give car guys a bad name. I bought a coupon from them about 3 months ago, tried to use it today and was told that the coupon rules have changed. I was no longer allowed to use it for both of my cars. On the coupon, all it says is one coupon per visit. I told them that this is a bait and switch and was told, «If you don’t like it, go somewhere else».
