History

Established in 1980.

The Designers Furniture Gallery was incorporated in 1980. Our first home was a 6000 sq. ft. mansion in disrepair at 39^th and Dodge. We renovated it, submitted it to National historic Landmark, and received it’s designation in 1982. In 1998 we moved The Designers Furniture Gallery to 121^st & Emmet St. It gave us 8,000 sq. ft. of showroom space, to display our furniture, accessories, lamps, and art. Space to help others visualize beautiful things displayed for their imagination has become a benefit to our clients. The showroom supplies our many projects with instant furnishings and possibilities to complete interiors. We continue to design award winning interiors. Today, The Designers Furniture Gallery represents over 27 years in the profession of interior design. Our projects range from renovation of new homes, commercial projects small and large, and sometimes a small project involving our design consultation.

Business Owner

Marilyn Schooley Hansen, FASID has over 35 years experience in the profession of interior design. Her accomplishments include:

Bachelor of Science, Iowa State University.

The Designers incorporated 1980.

Chairman of the renovation of the Governor’s Mansion, 1997 and 1998.

Designated as Fellow of ASID 2001.

Participation in every ASID Symphony Showhouse to present.

Street of Dreams homes for the Metro Omaha Builders Association.

Over 15 ASID awards for Interior Design.
