Great place! Love the atmosphere and beer! The beer cocktails are amazing! Smart and simple drinks makes Scriptown a great place to relax!

It’s been over a year now, and my opinion definitely has not changed about Scriptown. We are there between 2 and 3 nights/​week. The beers are all fantastic, and mostly lower ABV, meaning I can have a few in a sitting and still drive the mile and a half down the road to my house. All of the bartenders are also fantastic. They all work their tails off, especially now that it gets busy even on weeknights and there might only be one working. If one of the owners are there (John and Scott) and it gets busy, you will see them get behind the bar and start serving drinks as well.
Tip: Wednesdays are all-​day happy hour! $ 1 off all beers!

Their beers may not be anything earth shattering, but that’s not what they’re going for — they produce classic styles and generally do it really well. It’s rare that I’m truly *excited* by their offerings, but I always enjoy a night there.
I wish they’d have some food (even a few small plates), but I understand the challenges there. Ultimately, it’s a tap room for a very solid brewery, and I commend what they’re doing!

The owner is super friendly and passionate. Bartenders are helpful and knowledgeable.
Lots of wheat and IPA beers when I visited which made it difficult for me to choose a beer when I visited (not a huge fan of IPAs). They do offer wine and cocktails however.
Atmosphere is nice and the interior is definitely a throwback to the era the brewery is named after. Great place to check out with friends.

This is a place I will be coming to now and for years to come. Great beer, good people, all around exceptional experience.

The beer is pretty good for a session IPA, but It would be even better if it were a bit more complex in flavor. It would be great if they offered a regular IPA, or perhaps a double. I like the ambiance, with the brick walls and barn door, and one of the people who works here was very friendly and helpful to us as we approached the place.

Really nice staff all around. We were in the area for the Blackstone food truck event and they let us sit inside (AIR CONDITIONING!) to eat our food and gave us lots of cold water. The bartender was sweet to me. A friend ordered a ginger beer and even though I’m not a fan of ginger beer it was pretty darn tasty. It was like grown up lemonade, very subtle ginger flavor and only $ 3.
Even though I don’t really drink, I’d definitely go back with friends.

This is a new brewery in the Blackstone district, which seemingly popped up overnight. Scriptown has some fierce competition in the new area with Nite Owl and Mula close by (two great places if you are in search of food!), but Scriptown is a decent bar to meet friends and enjoy a drink.
A friend and I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon, and it was dead. There were only two other people in the entire place. However, it seems most places in Omaha are either closed entirely on Sundays or close early, so I wasn’t shocked when I found out Scriptown closes at 6pm on Sundays. I have been here on a weeknight when there was more of a crowd, so I do hope people are making their way to this gem of a place.
I believe parking can be an issue for the Blackstone District, but Scriptown does have some parking behind their building. The two times I have been here I have also seen they have a ‘gourmet waffle slider’ food truck; unfortunately I have not been here when this is open, but I am definitely wanting to check it out and get some gourmet waffles!
Overall, the place is fun. My wheat beer was good, and my friend had one of the mixed drinks (the GG) which she said she really enjoyed. They do have a short menu which makes it night as their aren’t too many options that can sometimes be overwhelming. We also had a great bartender – Kelsey – who was super pleasant, friendly, and very fun to talk to.

I haven’t had their beer but I hear it’s great.
Their Moscow Mules with their ginger beer are the best ever. I really can’t even bring myself to drink canned ginger beer any longer. The spice of the fresh ginger in the ginger beer is superb.
Service – has always been top notch. Great atmosphere. I love this place!

Good enough to visit twice in one day, we had the pleasure of eating all varieties of Rig’s waffle sliders for the month of July (before the small but strong menu was updated for this month).
And if you’ve ever been frustrated by trying to locate your favorite mobile food venue, don’t fret. This waffle wagon appears to have set up shop permanently in the Blackstone District parking lot in a wonderful symbiotic relationship with Scribtown Brewing and Archetype Coffee.
Rig offers 4 total options for sliders. Three what I’ll call savory and one sweet. Sliders are $ 4.50 each, or two for $ 7.50 (a bit over a 15% discount). I’d recommend getting them all — that’s what we did — before we went back later and got more.

Great, great beer, excellent service and ambience.
No food though, however, you can buy some next door and bring over.

Place does it right. Meat and potatoes = drinks and brews. I started with the Johnny B, totally legit. Bourbon, line juice, and brown ale. Followed it with the steve D; vodka bourbon, root beer something and brown ale. Great mixes. Doing it the right way.

A new local brewery that is only getting better with each and every new beer they release. Aside from the beer, the woody interior of their Blackstone location is warm and inviting, making it feel like a big communal lodge with its wrap-​around bar.
So far, the menu is short and sweet, just how I like it. You can order a variety of house beers and beer cocktails, plus select small batch whiskies and cheap wine. If you’re hungry, they are plenty of great options nearby to grab a bite.
Located in a the white-​hot Blackstone District, Scriptown offers an inviting brewpub experience. And whether you’re looking to sample some interesting beers or just looking for a spot to relax and chat with friends, this is your spot.

This is my first time at Scriptown and I must say it looks really nice. You can smell the wood from the fresh wood floors and the bricks walls gives the place some character to it.
There’s a variety of beers, beer cocktails, whiskey and of course peanuts and pretzels!
The ambiance is pretty chill and a great place to hang with friends to chat.

A fun new place to check out in Omaha. I always love the Décor of repurposed Bardwood, exposed brick walls and an open ceiling, which is exactly what scripttown embodies. I am not a beer drinker, so sometimes I feel it is a little bit unfair for me to write a review of a brewery, but we had a great time here. I got the Johnny B cocktail. I really liked that the cocktail included maple syrup. Something a little unique I don’t recall seeing before.
The staff was friendly and willing to allow us to sample any of the beers our party was interested in.
This is definitely a place I would check out again.

Nothing but class here. I was really impressed on my first trip that I thought it would be a good idea to bring some others with me after we had dinner. We attempted to hit Farnam House, but they were closed. Nite Owl also was not an options so we came into Scriptown. I was under control, as was a majority of my party. We did have one with us that I should have thought more about. I got a #7 and a Cpt. and coke. Wifle had a Scriptown Mule because they brew their own Ginger beer. She really liked it and my beer was also pretty good. Our one obnoxious patron started to get stupid and Eric was really nice in letting us know that we had to go.
I have been removed from a few bars in my time and none of them were as polite and discreet. Keep in mind that I wasn’t belligerent, but our party had to go. I will be back because I feel bad that I represented Unilocal in less than a stellar way.
I really liked how I was remembered upon entry and the choices for liquor are pretty close to top shelf.

Great new local brewery, and keep ‘em coming! I love that Omaha is turning into a beer city to be reckoned with. Also a great addition to the Blackstone District. I hope more places fill the empty storefronts here and make this a new Dundee/​Benson type area (with worse parking).
Real cool layout on the inside, the bar is huge and takes up a lot of the open room, but leaves everything feeling spacious. There was only a couple people in here at the time so I didn’t get to see it crowded. They have TVs you can view from pretty much all angles which is nice. Awesome employees as well.
They have a good selection of beers for just starting. Like other reviewers have said, all their beers have a pretty hoppy taste to them, not like a hardcore IPA but you can taste the hops above pretty much everything. The St. Meinrad is a great example of a Belgian golden, probably the best local Belgian beer I’ve tried. Everything else is decent, but nothing really outstanding. I hope they will continue to come up with new brews and tweak some of their previous ones.
All in all, great new brewery and great atmosphere, hope people will keep making it more popular.

Another awesome local brewery in Omaha! I am loving these breweries that have been popping up the past couple of years, and this one just may be my favorite.
The atmosphere is laid back and cozy… almost like you’re in a ski lodge. The smell of fresh wood is welcoming, and the glimpse into the actual brewery is pretty cool. The bartenders are all friendly and really know their beers.
They’re currently brewing a Christmas beer that I’m excited to check out in a couple of weeks, but right now, they have a solid list of beers on tap. I went with a beer flight and for $ 7, it was totally worth it.
Definitely worth checking out!
