I started at this school shortly after it first opened way back in 2003. I’ve noticed a lot of benefits from training, and it’s had a positive impact on me in many ways. Not only are the fellow students really great people, they are excellent to train with. The school’s sifu is a great guy, too. One of the things that I think really makes this school stand out is the ability to train at your own pace. Classes are held regularly, but you can set your own schedule. This has always worked well for me. I may not progress as quickly as other students, but every time you walk in the door, you’re welcomed and everyone’s excited to work out with you. I also like the family-style teaching. From day one, you’re learning forms and drills that you will use through your entire time studying kung fu. Some of the traditions can take a little getting used to, but once you«get it» it makes a lot of sense. Especially from the standpoint that this is the traditional and unmodified art that’s been passed down for over 400 years. Still taught the way our sifu learned it, how his sifu learned it, and how all the previous sifus in our family learned it. I highly recommend stopping by the school and signing up for a free lesson. Then give it a try for at least a few months. For anyone who is skeptical about trying a martial art, try this school. There aren’t people lining up and all repeating the exact same thing, there aren’t tournaments and competitions, there aren’t testing and advancement fees. There’s just solid training, every class, that will help strengthen your body, mind, and spirit.
