Set up an eye appointed for my husband about 10 days in advance. The night before his appointment at 6:30pm he received a voicemail stating that they couldn’t get him in at that time, and if he didn’t call back, they would assume he was okay with showing up 30 minutes later that next day.
Good thing he got the voicemail, he showed up 30 minutes after his scheduled appointment, and still had to wait around over 30 minutes longer before telling them he needed to reschedule due to another scheduled appointment.
Even after rescheduling, at his next appointment the employee helping him find glasses gave him a huge sales pitch, and intentionally mislead him on what his insurance would actually cover for frames.

I have been going to Dr. Malashock since 1986 when I was a junior in high school and their location was on 42nd Street so I’m a loyal customer. I’ve never had a problem with any of the contacts or eyeglasses I’ve purchased there over the years unlike places I went to previously (which is why I’ve been loyal for so long). Glasses can be pricey anyway but my current pair has lasted six years so the quality is great. While I’ve been tempted to try some of those places that advertise too-​good-​to-​be-​true discounts on tv, I’ve heard/​read negative comments about the selection, service and quality. I appreciate that they offer evening hours a couple days per week so I don’t have to take time off work for an eye exam.

i have used Malbar and been a patient of Dr. Malashock for over 25 years (as has my family) and have always been more than satisfied. The office is welcoming and the selection great, but most importantly I am confident that I’m getting the best eye care possible.

I scheduled an appointment for my husband and myself over our lunch hour. We were in and out with very thorough service. They were detailed about what our insurance did and did not cover and the prices for lenses and frames were very, very reasonable. I would definitely recommend Malbar to my friends and family.

Decent eye service– Ilike my Dr (Malashock) and his assistant (Alaina) It gets pretty busy here in the evening so make your appt in the morning to beat the rush. I have felt confident recomending this place to my friends…
