This place and its owners are the best. My husband and I had a breakdown of her car right before we were moving actually on the day that we are moving out of Omaha. This is a family owned business and their son drove all the way to help us out, followed us to the shop and got us in and out within an hour. We were so grateful. They are the nicest people and full of peace during times when an auto repair can be chaotic. These people aren’t just auto mechanics. Their family is full of grace and love and really truly love helping people. We always tell the owner Tom that he is like a «doctor of cars». Thank you Excellence in Auto Repair we will never forget your kindness!!!

BEST PRICES, SERVICE & overall experience. Tom, Renee & their son are a real pleasure to work with. They were so accommodating to my sudden schedule changes. The price was really good… which at the moment was a huge priority. I have been looking for a local business for my car repairs & I feel I have definitely found it. It seems they are really looking to just have a good & successful family business… not take advantage of short-​term customers with inflated prices like the «other» places.

This is the best auto repair shop I have been to anywhere. They did a same day brake, pad and rotor on my SUV for a shockingly reasonable price, then I showed them my receipt from the same at Firestone for my van just a couple months previous and the Firestone price was quadruple what they charged me! The service was fast and courteous and I will be taking our vehicles here for as long as we are in Omaha.

My Kilgore died recently, at a really bad spot during rush hour. I called AAA and they suggested towing it to Grand Island. I may be new to Omaha but I’m not an idiot. I got on Unilocal and found Excellence in Auto Repair. Tom was amazing! He fixed my car, explained the problem to me, and even suggested I call AAA back to complain about the poor service. (Which I did.) Renee, his wife, is so nice! She came and picked me up so I could get my car back even faster. This is the only place I would go, considering how poorly the situation started it ended very well.

Let me start by saying: GO HERE.
This place has been in business since 1993 and has never advertised. Drive up to the place and you’ll see why. They don’t have a lot of space but don’t let that deter you from walking in the door. It is family owned and they take pride in their customer service and most importantly, honesty.
I had to take a car in for sway bar extenders and bushings and the work was ‘excellent’ and affordable. Tom (the owner along with his wife Renee who works the front desk) will not BS you. If work doesn’t need to be done they’ll tell you that. Just go and you’ll see what I mean. You will feel very comfortable. They run a business the way people should and I am confident if you go you’d feel the same.

great small repair shop. the guy that owns the place tom is straight forward, honest, and is actually trying to SAVE you money. his prices for repairs were extremely low in comparison to other shops in the area. he did the work in less than a day and even explained what he did and showed me the damaged part that he pulled out. overall a great experience that i would recommend to anyone. these days its hard to trust people with all these scammers around, i feel like this shop is trustworthy, honest, and looking out for the best interest of the customer.

Going off R Y. and Joel’s reviews I decided to give this place a shot. I was first impressed because they moved up my appointment since it was more serious than most (brakes). She told me I could actually leave my car there that night and use the key drop-​box feature.
I have to admit that I was a little put off by the appearance of the place (not bad, just not expected). That plus I was dropping off my car/​keys to someone I didn’t know personally. Anyways, it all turned out great. The owner was very nice and down to earth. I appreciated his honesty in telling me what had to be done at the shop and what I could get done elsewhere for cheaper. They actually had it all done that day, which was great for only calling the night before!

I followed Joel’s review and went to EIAR and they were just as described. They were all very friendly and seemed willing to go the extra mile. For example when we pulled up one of the mechanics was helping a man aim his headlights and I don’t think they charged him a dime. We got a little nervous when we noticed they had a entire lot of cars, but they finished our repair in 24 hours as promised. When the bill came, it was about $ 100 less than we were quoted, which is doubly good during Christmas season.
Water pump replaced, washer fluid flushed and lube/​filter.

Finding a solid, experience mechanic who’s trustworthy is tough enough for anyone, but especially to someone moving to a new town. Not long after I’d moved to Omaha, someone recommended EIAR to me and I’ve found them nothing but, well, excellent. I don’t even live anywhere near the shop, but they’re still my primary mechanic. They get work done in a timely manner despite being crazybusy most of the time. The one time that they did make a mistake on my car, they reimbursed me for added expenses without any hassle. Otherwise, they’ve always been amazing and never try to invent extra reasons for me to spend more money with them. I recommend them as highly as I recommend anything else.
