Bed bugs 1−12−16. Hotel didn’t take it serious. Was told they are like mosquitos without wings. I finally got the health dept involved after 1 week no action to make sure they followed up on this. Just heard back from heath dept and the hotel takes this serious now and apologized to them for their ignorance on these bugs. You decide if you want bed bugs to snack on you and come home with you. To this day the hotel has offered me a free night there. I’ll sleep in my rental before I sleep there for free. Customer service is horrible. I would have done whatever to keep this off social media, I even told the manager I would post about this with a response of we’ll give you a few night. Haha. You can verify this with the health dept.

Breakfast Buffett is good, staff is super helpful and kind! Rooms get a bit chilly but they will gladly bring you a heater.

The hotel itself is very nice. The lobby and amenities are top notch… The rooms are nothing special, but my bed was comfortable enough. I’m not sure where all of these complaints about the heating and cooling are coming from. My room had a fully function thermostat that I was able to adjust easily. Fortunately I am an early riser, because the guy in the room next to me decided that SportsCenter on full blast at 0530 is the thing to do. One major complaint I’ve seen in other reviews that I agree with is that the Wifi here sucks… Bad. I usually stay at the Hilton Downtown, and I think the rooms at that hotel are nicer, but the overall hotel experience at the Double Tree is better.

I travel for work and my company puts me up in this hotel. Normally it’s great! But they get cheap and run the a/c only during summer months and heat only during colder months. Well I’m sorry but you are a hotel not a house! I don’t have several windows to open for a nice breeze. As soon as I walked in my room tonight it was warm. I ordered a fan from the front desk and I have had my tiny window cracked since I arrived and the room is still warm. Trying to sleep now but it seems to be impossible. Working odd hours I sleep odd hours so because of light I’ve had to close the curtains which means no more air from outside! And the box fan in my room is so loud! I am becoming more and more upset as the time passes and my sleep time is becoming more and more limited. I really don’t understand how a nice hotel runs this sort of practice with shutting off the A/C it’s ridiculous. I can’t imagine a women with hot flashes sleeping here. I should not have to be this uncomfortable in my home away from home and I will defiantly be making my company aware of this and maybe they need to look into putting us in a different hotel.

We were in town for a wedding and stayed here 2 nights. When we first checked in our room was not correct — When I was booking the room I had called the hotel to ensure we had a suite with 2 queen beds and a pull out couch — at the senior citizen discount because my Mom was with us. When I checked in they informed me whoever I spoke to was mistaken because they don’t even have that type of room in their hotel and they had a room with just 1 bed and a pull out couch for us. The manager or director of sales overheard our conversation and stepped right in and was SUPER nice… he got us 2 rooms that connect for the same price. He was unbelievably nice and so was the girl helping us. Our rooms were fantastic! And we could have the door open between us but still both have our own space — it was fantastic! Our rooms were soooo comfortable! The beds and pillows were the most comfortable I have ever had in a hotel… I actually slept better than at home — and that never happens! The only negative was the lack of counter space in the bathroom — there is like NONE. But everything else was wonderful. We were on the 4th floor and never heard people above us, below us, or in the halls. Quietest hotel that was full I have ever stayed in! Everytime we walked into the hotel we were greeted with a smile. My husband and Mom had breakfast in the hotel twice and they said it was very good and the service and staff were exceptionally nice. They even made special mickey mouse pancakes for my son. Oh and I can’t forget the WONDERFULWARM Cookies they have at the desk that they gave us multiple times! If we ever go to Omaha again this will be our go to hotel. Best stay at a hotel I have ever had and I have stayed at a lot of hotels.

***WARNING***MUSTREAD*** I am currently staying at the Doubletree in downtown Omaha, Nebraska on 1616 Dodge St. This is a warning to all who want to say there to be careful. I have been working around this area with colleagues of mine for the past 3 weeks and during my stay at the Doubletree I have had a horrible experience. House keeping only came into my room to make the bed. Dirty cups that I have used for soda and water never got taken away and replaced with clean cups. Dirty cups were just left there until I took them and left them in the sink and still it stayed in the sink for another few days… It gets worse… When I checked-in I needed to have a credit card on file for«incidentals». It’s actually an open door for the criminals they hire to steal your credit card and use them for online purchases. There were a few charges for small amounts that caught my attention when it was pending in my account. But, in the coming days there were charges for $ 167 and $ 163 made online. This was reported to the«manager» who said they would do an investigation. As I mentioned earlier, I was there working with colleagues of mine. One of my other colleagues also had his credit card compromised and was still receiving charges to his credit card even after he had checked-out and was home. Also… Another one of my colleagues had his room raided. His shoes, watches, laptop anything of value… Gone. He now has a case open with Doubletree to have his stolen items reimbursed. This Doubletree on 1616 Dodge St. in Omaha, NE has an operation going on at all levels and is corrupt. Hilton should do a full investigation and see the type of people they hire to run their facility.

COOKIES!!! And top notch service as expected. I passed on the(not impressive) breakfast buffet but the breakfast burrito was very very good and LARGE. Located in good area downtown just a few minutes away from the hopping Old Market area, which is several city blocks of unique shops, restaurants, bars and clubs.

There was no late check out it and no way for them to hold our bags; stuck walking around with them for 3 extra hours. The toilet was clogged on arrival. The shower ring around shower was falling off. Bath tub drain bug cut toe because it would not open easiely. The room was next to elevator, so heard the elevator and people all night. I could hear other guests coming and going all night. 425 dollars for a room and 10 dollars for internet?

I wasn’t going to write a review but this hotel pissed me off so bad that I just wanted to scream. Like I have mentioned from my previous hotel reviews before, I only have a problem with a hotel when their wifi isn’t working or if they don’t have hot water. This hotel just happened to have both of this problems that I couldn’t stand. The front desk employees needs some customer service training! I called this morning and told them Internet wasn’t working. She was nice enough to send two engineers and it worked fine after they restarted the router. Then around 7p, the Internet stopped working again and I’m in the middle of work! I called the front desk and he told me the same thing I’ve heard from other hotels who has this same wifi issues — restart your laptop, log in to this user name, etc. For damn sake logging in wasn’t the stupid issue! Geeez. It was the no connection issue. On top of that, I called from the restaurant and requested to get my room clean while I was away and got back and the room was still the same way I left it before. And their hot water takes a long time…

Air conditioner set at 73 all night. They brought up a box fan. Guess it was better than nothing. However had a hard time sleeping. I’m a small person of size and am usually cold however I do like to sleep with the air on about 68. Woke up a lot and was swollen in the morning, not a good feeling to start your day off with.

I stayed here after getting a room using the Priceline roulette on a weekend trip to Omaha. The staff is friendly. They give you warm cookies when you check in and are happy to make suggestions for things to do. Their suggestions do seem to be safe/approved — they recommended places that were crowded and full of older people, so we had to venture out on our own to find out where young people actually hang out in Omaha. The location — a couple blocks from Old Market — is great. Their shuttle takes you anywhere in a 4 mile radius for free(which means the zoo — just barely over 4 miles away — is a no-go, sadly, but it was great for Old Market destinations). The shuttle drivers were knowledgeable about the area and very friendly. The room — it was mostly clean and the bed was comfortable. I say«mostly clean» because it looked like it hadn’t seen a deep cleaning in years — the bathroom tile was very grimy and all the walls needed paint. The furniture all looked like it had seen better days. The dresser was missing a couple of drawers and the bathroom door had huge pieces of texture laminate missing. We stayed for two nights but never got a maid visit. The TV was a decent size but they only have basic cable, no HBO. There was only one outlet that we could find, and it was far away from the bed. The wifi was slow, but it was free and it worked. The hotel chooses whether to run heat or AC and the patrons have no say in it, except to choose whether to turn it on or off in the room. They were only running heat while we were there(mid-April) even though it was warm outside, so we were too hot inside the entire time. I stopped by the Starbucks-branded café for a coffee on Saturday morning. The barista was friendly and fast, but the coffee just wasn’t good. It tasted stale, like it had been brewed the day before. Overall, we weren’t upset because we only paid $ 60/night using Priceline. But I would never pay full price for this place.

The ‘Doub’ is in a prime spot to succeed. The location is about as close to Union Pacific as you can get. That is probably why they remain open. In a Hilton branded town it is a good thing to wave that flag high. People see it and know it. I really don’t like the variances in hotels. Some give you almost nothing, but free breakfast, some you get a restaurant in. Others give you a happy hour. The Doub gives you a cookie. This hotel used to be a Red Lion and is the location that Elvis stayed at a few months before he died(at least I heard he died, don’t know) When I stayed here years ago it was in dire need of renovation. I am sure it is up to date with furnishings and carpet, etc…, but it has a really old vibe. I can’t get over it. I really wish the building would get torn down and open travel up on 16th street. For those that are unaware it makes a pretty big detour and could lead to confusion and disorientation. Anyways. It is a decent hotel and prime location. Hopefully it stays that way.

I came here for a corporate party and used the banquet hall. I did not rent a room for the night. Parking was difficult in that I parked in a garage about two blocks away and took the underground tunnel to get to the physical hotel, which was super confusing. The hall was really nice and spacious. It allows for a stage. They had a band, and the music made it difficult to hear anyone talking. The server/bartender staff was really nice and filled drinks regularly. For dinner, brisket and pulled pork was served. The brisket was super dry and I didn’t care for it. The also served coffee with dessert, which is a treat, though they didn’t have decaf, even thought it was 8 o’clock at night.

It’s too hot to even sleep. I’m sweating my rear off! Also, this place needs a facelift! Looks like the 80’s around here.

In general, I love Doubletree. You know what you’re going to get, and it is usually quite comfortable, high service, etc. This particularly location fell short of my Doubletree brand expectations. Let me first be specific that this was not directed towards the staff — they were amazing and went way out of their way, especially Jorge. This is all about the actual hotel itself. First of all, this hotel’s public spaces need a major facelift. It feels like I returned to the 80s. Of the 5 elevators, I think only two were in working order — difficult when you have a conference of hundreds of attendees all needing to ride up or down at the same time. The pool area didn’t have hot tub(really? Given how much this place was a night, I was shocked), and the pool desperate needs a) repainting and b) stair to enter it, rather than only ladders(although I did appreciate the ADA accessible lift). The hotel’s system only handles EITHER A/C or heat, so despite it being quite warm for November, I couldn’t turn on any cool air in my room. I didn’t really have another option regarding where to stay, but given the rate I paid, I was really disappointed in the hotel itself.

I stayed at the Doubletree for one night after winning a Priceline bid. I always enjoy the Doubletree cookies that you get upon check-in. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. I’m always happy to see a coffee maker. The bathroom, however, was not so great. The shower/tub walls and ceiling were grimy. The heat lamp was super noisy when turned on. The faucet sprayed everywhere. There were no cups or glasses, so I had to hold my head under it to rinse my mouth. The hotel is quiet and the location is good, but definitely exudes a «conferency» atmosphere. I usually stay at The Magnolia and probably would opt to do so again. Although it would have been a bit more expensive than my Priceline deal, they do have complimentary wine, cookies, and breakfast. Plus, it’s a boutique hotel and the overall feel is simply cooler.

Warm cookies, a Starbucks, a spacious clean room with a large bed and flat screen TV, plus a free hotel shuttle to take you anywhere with a 4 mile radius! Not to mention the nicest front desk employee ever! Couldn’t have asked for more. AND it was much cheaper than many comparable hotels in the area. This is my new favorite hotel. Legit.

The hotel was clean and the rooms were nice. I have come to expect that from the brand though. There is a pool and it is indoors but it is not the biggest thing going. Parking is $ 7 and connected to the building. The extra added feature was the shuttle service to the airport and the Old Market Place(restaurant/bar district). The breakfast buffet was a little highly priced for the quality, $ 19. The omelet station was decent, however with several events and weddings going on in the hotel, there was a considerable line to get to it and also to get a seat. The service was good, but seemed very understaffed for the level of guests. The hotel is also centrally located to nearby cultural attractions and sporting venues. The wifi was slow and constantly cutting out so it was tough to even check in on social media, much less skype in on family. Overall, a great location and a good value for a nice hotel.
