Controlled Comfort

These people have been to where I work 4 times in a few weeks and still nothing has been resolved. It’s the middle of winter and they can’t fix our heat. Had the same issue last year where it took multiple visits to fix the issue. It seems to me it’s part of their business model. Make as many trips to places as possible do low quality work so they call back and we can bill them more. Never will use this company for where I live.

On Feb 25^th, I called CC to fix my furnace. They sent a guy out and he looked at the furnace. He said that the control board was covered in oil and it needed to be cleaned. He also recommended replacing a capacitor as it was the cause of the oil leak. I agreed and when that was completed, I wrote him a check for $ 207.57 for that service. Later that evening, the furnace failed again. On the 26^th, I called CC again and they sent out another guy. He said that the board hadn’t been cleaned enough and he would clean it again. He cleaned the board and stayed for a while to make sure the furnace was operating. He left, without telling me of a charge nor with me expecting one as he just finished up with the first guy had failed to do correctly. To my surprise, about a month later, I received a bill for another $ 220. I immediately called CC and spoke to the manager/​owner. He said he would look into it and call me back. I didn’t hear from them for another 2 months in the form of another invoice. I called again and spoke with the billing person. I explained that the manager told me he would take care of it. She said she would check and get back to me. Nothing again for another 2 months. This time, I got an invoice with a past due, up for collection stamp on it. I called and left a message and then emailed the office from their website. No contact again. Yesterday, I got a bill from a collection agency! Never was I contacted by these people. I still feel that the bill is a double charge and that the first guy they sent didn’t do the job correctly and they sent the next guy to clean up the mess of the first. I have tried, in good faith, to contact these people and have been ignored at every turn.
