Coco Key Water Resort

Fun time, but a bit crowded to be relaxing. –I really dont like people who aren’t considerate enough to rent a locker or place their things in the available free cubes. Instead, they claim all the tables, chairs and bar stools with their $hit.
++This is an overall fun family place with a splash park, water slides for all ages, whirlpool and one of my favs… the lazy river; let’s face it… I can admit that I enjoy lazy and lounging around type of activities. Come on in; the water’s fine.

There’s not many choices when wanting a waterpark in Omaha. This is located in the back of the Ramada hotel (drive all way to the back to park and enter). It’s indoors, which is nice as it’s open year-​round.
It’s small, naturally. There’s a tiny toddler area with gates to keep them inside. It’s a few inch pool, some sprinklers, and a tiny slide. Then there’s a kiddie area with things to climb on and a few slides varying from small to higher with turns and twists. Nothing dramatic. And, of course, there’s the massive bucket that dumps water everywhere every few minutes. Kinda like what you find at most every waterpark. Then there’s a lazy river that goes around this kiddie area. It’s a pretty swift river. Then there’s three higher, bigger, more grown-​up slides off to the side that aren’t visible. There’s a light one and a totally dark one, both of which you can do two at a time. Then there’s also a solo one. These were actually pretty fun.
There’s also a bar and food area. And, of course, bathrooms, lockers, and showers. And it’s definitely humid and reeks of chlorine. But while small, it’s a fun spot. My niece and nephew had a blast and didn’t want to leave. There’s also a decent arcade area.
All in all, it’s pretty good for what it is. And it’s Omaha. So I’ll give it 4 stars and say I’m fan.

Not many places really make a good effort with giving individuals who place their life on the line for our country’s safekeeping.
We were able to get in for $ 10… after showing our military ID.
My fiancé is retired military and they thanked him for his service…
My children and fiancé had a BLAST.
Lots of things to keep busy…
Of course, the adults loved the indoor/​outdoor jacuzzi.

Great for kids under 10. Otherwise adults will be bored. I have a 3 yo and he loved being in the toddler pool which was only 2ft deep and had two water slides attached.
Water park is opened limited hours. Usually 4 – 9 PM. It cost 15 since I stayed at the hotel.
Some of the water park is need of TLC. Shower and locker rooms are clean has enough showers.
There is an arcade attached which has a lot of games, but has odd hours. The 3 days we were there it only opened for 1 day.

If you have kids 10 and under, then they will enjoy this place. Otherwise skip it in my opinion. Located in the back of the Ramada Inn, it is a good sized indoor water park. A friend of mine had his sons 8^th birthday party here. The kids had a very good time, and it kept them occupied easily for an afternoon. There are three bigger water slides, a ‘lazy river’, kiddie pool area for the smaller kids, and a big activity area with small slides and water spraying and splashing down on you, along with a ‘adult only’ hot tub area (that didn’t seem to be enforced), and a shallow pool area. As an adult, it was an okay time playing with my daughter, but the shine wore off pretty quickly. The kids were more than happy to do the same things over and over however. They offer your basic overpriced greasy food (burgers, chicken fingers, fries, pizza) that is forgettable, and if you can’t handle the onslaught of kids running around, they do sell beer to take the edge off. The other side of the main entrance has a fairly large game room as well which the kids enjoyed. It had a variety of games, with many of them giving out ‘tickets’ that you can trade in for absolute cheap crap at the end. But again, if you have young kids, the decision on what piece of plastic crap to pick out is a major life decision!
Overall, this isn’t somewhere I would choose to go as an adult, however if you have younger children, I can say without a doubt that they will enjoy themselves thoroughly, so you may have to suck it up.
TL;DR: As an adult, it is a 2 in my book, my kid would rate it a 4

We were there to celebrate a 4 year old birthday party with just family. The pool area was good for young kids and kept them busy the whole time we were there. The life guards did keep the young ones out of the «over 16» hot tub, which was a nice break for the adults. We expected to have to purchase food, but thought we could bring in our own Birthday Cake. We were surprised we could not bring anything in. Fortunately the girl at the desk was very accommodating and put it in the fridge for us so it wouldn’t melt and let us celebrate in the lobby when were were ready. Now for the reason for 3 stars — the food is HORRIBLE! We expected to have to buy drinks and food, but to pay those prices and not be able to eat it made us all mad. You wouldn’t think they could mess up pizza, but it was like cardboard. Food is all processed and we all felt bad after eating it. Should of tried the wings as they actually look somewhat edible. One suggestion for the place is please improve the quality of your food. Chuck E Cheese is better than this place and that isn’t saying much!

We are local and decided to check out Coco Keys for spring break. We have been to the one in KC, which was disappointing. We were pleasantly surprised by the Omaha location. Water was warm-​ish, I like the water very warm, & it could have been warmer, but it was much warmer than the KC location, and most indoor hotel pools. The air inside was cooler than I would prefer, got pretty chilly going from one area to another. Locker rooms were mostly clean, as was most of the facility. We arrived at 4:00 on a Friday and stayed until 8:00. It did start to get full after 7:00, so I think earlier is better. For us it was fun and we will be back.

Opening the doors to the pool area is like opening the doors into the largest butt juice stanky foot sauna youve ever been in. The air smells SO strongly of chlorine that after at least 3 mins your eyes start to burn and water. My step son loves this place. He came out I’m pretty sure a whole shade lighter than he went in. We were already there and we hardly get to see him so we let him have fun playing.. Although the kids there are like little scavengers trying get tubes. They push, trick, and steal til they have one. Poor guy was shocked someone actually tipped him over to take his tube.
Now, the only reason I’m giving it 2 stars instead of 1. the arcade across the hall is pretty fun. I mean I’m 27 and I still enjoyed winning those little games. It was clean, efficient, and the guy behind the counter was very patient and friendly.
Won’t be going back.

It’s really sad that the slides don’t open until 4pm. We booked our stay at the adjacent Ramada just to have some fun at the water park. $ 30 later for the two kids… we enter the park to find this little gem… slides open at 4pm?! WHAT??? WHY!?! That’s the whole reason to stay and spend the addl $$! CoCo, please rethink your plan. It’s way to hard to travel with disappointed kids.

The water park is great! Just big/​small enough that I wasn’t worried about the kids playing off around the corner. Life guards were excellent! I’ve been to a lot of places where the guards were very crabby and nasty but not the case here! And plenty for everyone to do for all ages! Great place!
Hotel however! Very poor. This is a suite!!! No it’s not! And the breakfast-​worst experience ever. I’ve had better in super cheap motels on the road! Ran out of about everything before it was time to shut it down. It was constantly out of one thing or another. 2 cereals-​2 pastries-​2 fruits and either coffee Or orange juice to pick from. Considering the size and price of the motel I would think they could do SO much better!!!

We stopped by the water park on a Friday afternoon and bought a day pass. It is better than your public pool but that isn’t saying much. There really isn’t a lot for adults to do, even though your kids will like it. The biggest complaint that I had was it was HOT. The air was hot and humid and the water was like bath water. It simply wasn’t even refreshing to get into the water. The locker rooms were boiling. We ended up leaving after three hours because I couldn’t take the heat anymore.
So…it’s average fun, expensive, and hot.

I took advantage of the room package which was a great deal. We came at 1:00 for our water passes and I had 6 eleven year olds. Four passes are included in the room and I purchased two others for 15 dollar each. We stayed till 5 then checked into our room which was nice. Hard beds and lumpy pillow but the shower is nice and we had a fridge and microwave. All the girls ate cupcakes and opened presents then all but my girl and her two bff went home. We ate in the restaurant which was pricey but they do have amazing crab cakes. Then back to the water park. I liked the charging station but no DVD player and you can’t rent a movie from your room. Also they advertise wifi but I could never get a signal on iPhone or kindles in room or in the park. Then after after breakfast we checked out at 11 and went to park again passes were good for both days. I thought 159 plus tax for a nice room and four passes good for two days was an exceptional value.

Meh. Maybe we are spoiled by the Great Wolf experience, but this was mediocre at best. My kids, at 7 and 8, were bored fairly quickly. Couple of slides (not open til 4p on weekdays which was rough), a decent spa for grownups, a basketball pool, a rope bridge (which would take the skin off your hands, it is so rough!). As a parent, the one thing I really didn’t like was that there was no vantage point that allows you to see the whole place and keep an eye on kids.
Not worth the money.

CoCo Key Water Resort is at the very back of the Ramada Inn off 72^nd and very convenient to I-​80.
The water park is okay and is a nice addition to the Omaha area, but the prices for adults and children are fairly steep. $ 30 for an adult and $ 20 for a child… it adds up quickly.
Best move is to try and find a package to reduce your overall cost.
Once inside, the area is nice with children’s pools, large play area to get doused in and really about six (6) waterslides. One for smaller tykes, two (2) that are considered small to medium and three that are larger. The three larger are fun for teens and adults, but my personal opinion is this facility to geared to the younger children and pre-​teens.
You can only go down the big slides so many times before you start looking for something else to do.
There are also pools with rope netting across to crawl on, a pool with basketball hoops and a hot tub for 16 and older… but there were a number of children in the hot tubs with their parents when we went.
The resort has a snack bar… don’t believe you can bring anything in. There are lockers you can rent to secure your valuables. Six dollars for a small locker and ten dollars for a larger one.
Worthwhile to visit at least once, but if you are looking for larger water thrills, this is not the place.

Solid value and a good diversion for the kids for the day. Visited with my daughter on a Friday. Tube slides were great fun. Lazy river was enjoyable, pool basketball was fun too. Not sure if a packed weekend or school break would be an enjoyable (there were a bunch of kids there but it wasn’t crowded when we went.) We played in all of the areas, had Pizza Hut for lunch and also hit the arcade, which was smallish but had all the key activities.

The waterpark’s slide has seems so when you go down it, it hurts your back. So I slid down the slides that required tubes. The bottom of the baby pool is rough, my friend’s baby came out with red knees and feet.
If you stay here, swim at the hotel pool, not the waterpark.
