History

Established in 1950.

Chop’s Bowl was built in 1950 by John & Woody Cap. It is currently the oldest bowling alley in Omaha. Many of the greats in bowling such as Don Carter, Ray Bluth & Dick Weber would come to Chops in the 50’s & 60’s to take part in the «Chop’s $ 500 Singles Classic». The Chop’s Classic was the first tournament that Dick Weber won after he turned pro. Our short season leagues, open bowling specials and low drink prices have kept people coming back for 64 years. We are located just north of I-80 and less than 5 minutes from downtown and the Iowa Casinos.
