Came here to meet a friend. It’s her favorite place to go to work from her computer and drink coffee. The décor in this place is so fun! It’s very unique and weird. While I was there I noticed they sold tea, frozen coffees, and pastries as well. I felt it was pretty dark side inside but it gave a cozy feel to already inviting atmosphere. Coffee was good and it was quick.

There’s really no point trying to go anywhere else, unless you show up and all the seats are taken, which will send you to an emotional dark place and force everyone you love to leave you.

I’ve never had anything but a good experience here, but sometimes the seating is limited, the tables rock, and there are few plug-ins for studying. Also, the music is usually really loud for studying. The staff is friendly, and the coffee is good. Someone will say that there is no obligation to make a quiet place for studying, but it’s pretty clear that’s what 90% of the people here are doing. It’s an interesting mix of people, and a good place to grab a cup. I really like this place. All I’d ask is for the music to be turned down quite a bit so people don’t have to raise their voices to talk.

Nice staff depending on who you get. I like the atmosphere, but I go there to study and the blaring music doesn’t always help. The lady’s room is my favorite part, because they let whoever write on the walls and it’s fun to see who has been there and what people are thinking. I know it’s not a huge thing, but I like that they don’t get mad at people for being creative. I like some of the tables, but not all. Sometimes can be really loud and have annoying people in the store which isn’t their fault. Coffee isn’t that great. It is like a normal cup of Folgers coffee. Nothing special about the coffee.

This is by far one of the best tasting coffee places u have been to. The ambience is cozy and comfortable. You can hangout there with friends or if you are alone you can still sit and read a book or do your homework. It’s just the place you can always be at!

Atmosphere is ideal, coffee is fine, service/staff is horrible. The most pretentious people I have ever encountered at a hippy dippy coffee shop(in Omaha no less!!!). Can you smile? Make eye contact? Sorry to interrupt your time by the windows with ordering a cup of coffee… Dang. I keep going back because it is close to home and I love the interior… but I also keep going back with the guarded hope that the staff will lighten up. Guess what? They never do.

Now that I’m finished writing mountains of papers for the semester, I can get back to what I really love doing, which is writing Unilocal reviews! :) This is one of the few coffee shops in the city where I can hang out without wanting to poke my eyes out due to pretentiousness(pretense? who knows). I wouldn’t necessarily call the staff«friendly»(at least, not when I’ve been there), but they seem to cater heavily to the hipster crowd, so when I walk in with my stupid fancy yoga clothes and beg for an almond milk latte… I would hate me, too. Their non-dairy milk options are soy and almond(no coconut, boo!). They have a ton of vegan selections and even some gluten-free pastries and bars!!! The gluten-free goddess muffin makes my heart sing. The coffee is good. The espresso is a little bitter for my taste, but the regular coffee is excellent. The lunch options are plentiful and they have food that I can eat, which is thrilling.

Love this little old gem on Farnam. Yeah, it’s completely hipster, but the coffee is actually good and the ambiance is out of this world. Come on over. I’m usually on the patio on a weeknight, vaping it up!

The fact that a place like this exists in Omaha many of my «big city» friends find amazing. Unique local art on the walls, odd trinkets and clothing items for sale near the register, and great coffee in varying ceramic mugs. I come here to write often, but sometimes the place is packed.

A great local shop that is worth a try. Great atmosphere. Except don’t get the smoothies.

Friendly Service, relaxing environment, and really great coffee! This is a great place to study! Lots of comfortable sofas and plenty of chairs and tables to set up shop for a hard core study session. Their hours are also great for late night cramming. Sometimes they are roasting their own coffee and the«smoke» can be irritating to the eyes. If it wasn’t for that id give them 5 stars.

So I decided its time I expand my coffee options when I travel to Omaha for work… this is nowhere near my office nor where I sleep, but Omaha is really not that big of a city and only a few minutes out of my way. I get in there and there is one person doing all the work, friendly and efficient. She knew what people wanted for their regular drinks which is always a good sign. So I order a 3-shot latte and a wrap(almond butter, banana, cinnamon, and nutmeg). I will probably use this as a go to spot, in the future as I enjoyed having a filling breakfast that wasn’t made of eggs, cheese, and bacon(I’ve gained too much weight travelling with work…)

Simply a great coffee house. Nothing fancy, nothing it shouldn’t be, just good coffee.

They feature local art for sale and when a friend of mine noticed her art had been sold, they claimed they couldn’t find the money and the barista used profanity telling her she was out of luck. Their website is not operating. Horrible people, probably about to close.

i really liked this place… from the outside doesn’t look like much, but very cozy inside, and it seems others love it cause it got packed pretty quickly with studiers and other types… Prices were comparable to similar other places and probably a tad cheaper than those fools at Starbucks… I really liked the garden out back cause when the weather cooperates it’s a great place to meet up with people and drink coffee…

A friend who used to make this place his local haunt when he was in college took me by this place after a zoo trip. It has a great little coffee shop vibe with little nooks to hide in and study, fun art/posters/randomness to gaze at and pretend to study, and of course a huge menu of beverage and snack choices to distract you from studying. This. Place. Is. Ideal. With a main floor, a second story, and a little hide away garden up top, there are tons of areas to get comfy. The menu has some fun coffee choices and I was thrilled to see the amaretto latte, which I nommed. They have some gluten free bakery items, which is legit. Oh yeah. They also sell flannel shirts in the corner. Soo ‘braska ‘merica I love it.

Rude staff. One girl in particular was just a meany. I asked for a particular syrup and she huffed and said«yeah». So I asked to have some in my coffee and she seemed terribly inconvenienced. I came back a few minutes later because I couldn’t taste the flavoring and asked if she had put it in and she rolled her eyes and said«yeah I did» and started turning her back toward me. Finally I asked her how her day was going and that seemed to push her dazzling personality right over the edge. What’s sad is that I feel like every interaction I’ve had with employees here have been equally disappointing. This woman in particular needs to find a new line of work.

Caffeine Dreams is a decent place to meet friends if you want to have whispered conversations, which means it’s a bad place to meet or accidentally run into an old friend you haven’t seen for awhile. To be fair, that last observation doesn’t hold true when you can sit outside on the back patio. The atmosphere is cool, lots of interesting local art to check out. Coffee is as good as anywhere else I frequent. Never once have I felt genuinely welcomed by the folks behind the counter, however. A few months ago I ordered the hummus wrap. I was in need a good breakfast and I got one! The wrap was warmed in a panini press and comprised of hummus, quinoa, tomatoes, red onion, and butter lettuce. Every time I’ve gone back for this wrap, its quality has deteriorated. Today, the wrap(presented to me with a barely audible and unappreciative«here ya go») contained hummus and quinoa, as usual, a total of one cherry tomato, soggy(possibly iceberg) lettuce, and an acceptable amount of red onion — except it was all congregated into one bite. I’ll go back, though, because Caffeine Dreams carries the *most delicious* cinnamon rolls, but that credit belongs to Two Birds Bakery!

OK… I show up at 10:30 to kill 30 minutes before a meeting and order a Chai latte. They are out of chai so I order just a regular coffee. I wanted to order a pastry but the cupboard was bare. Coffee comes out self serve(they had you a cup and you go to the coffee thermos(or urn or whatever you call em). The coffee station looks like a bomb went off. Trash everywhere, spilled sugar etc. Plus they are out of sugar(except artificial) and cream. They had straws, not sure why but I used it as a stirrer. Go to sit down and place if full of singles sitting around with their laptops. Hard to find a table so just sat at the open six top. I kill my 30 minutes and start for the door. Thought I would top off my coffee on the way… no such luck. Not one but both thermos are empty. *sigh* Décor is cool but not sure why anybody would come here. I can only blame my timing(after breakfast rush and before lunch) for the lack of EVERYTHING. lol

This place has been one of Omaha’s favorite coffee shops for more than a decade now. You also have to love the historic brick building it resides in. Even though it’s a large coffee shop, it still fills up pretty fast with college students, non-office workers and casual business meetings. Basically all the signs that this is a solid coffee shop. What’s more? They roast their beans in-house. If you’ve been there for more than a couple hours, you’ve probably seen this yourself. Great stuff. In all, I think their coffee is a cut above your average coffee shop as well. Plus they’re open till 11 p.m. most nights, making it one of the city’s only late night(well, kind of) non-booze fueled hangouts. They also offer plenty of food options, from sandwiches to soups to pastries — all made fresh and/or locally. The spacious patio out back is always a nice spot to relax when weather permits.
